the Air Core, we have replaced the conventional poplar
with paulownia wood and hollowed the core out in its

The challenge was to increase the ski’s durability while
making it easier for women to carry. With a narrow
bevelled profile along the edges of the ski and a wider
tip and tail, Air Shape skis are perfectly suited to female hands at

EXTENDED SIDECUTS
We have developed this extended sidecut to improve
high-speed grip while increasing low-speed handling.
By extending the sidecut far into the tip, the full length
of the ski is in contact with the snow when the skier is angulating
and travelling at speed. At lower speeds, rotation is easier thanks to
the tip and tail rocker.

A profile with a 50% underfoot camber and a 50%
rocker at the tip and tail. The slight underfoot camber
gives the skis improved grip on packed snow. The tip
rocker makes its presence felt, giving better flotation in powder
snow and paving the way for new experiences without tiring the
skier. The tail rocker gives better steering and control.

WOMEN’S LINERS
ALL WOMEN’S SHELLS HAVE LINERS THAT ARE SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED
TO SUIT THE FEMALE BODY SHAPE.
Women’s liners are cut lower to accommodate women’s calf shape. They
also have a more open design for a more comfortable fit. The padding in
the upper liner is very flexible to prevent any discomfort around the calf.
The lining materials are very soft and comfortable.
Designed to make you want to put your foot in the boot.
THERMAL INSULATION
Dedicated thermal insulation: since insulation is especially important in
women’s boots, all our liners have specific thermal insulation in the form of
THINSULATE®, THINSULATE PLATINUM®, MERINO WOOL, wool or polar
fleece.
THE LINERS HAVE EITHER:
This liner has excellent thermal insulation thanks to the use of THINSULATE®
and THINSULATE PLATINUM®. According to our laboratory-based thermal
imaging studies, these technical fibres developed by 3M provide the best
thermal insulation currently available on the market.

forefoot in the toe area.
CUSTOM OPTISENSOR LINERS FOR WOMEN
THINSULATE® PLATINUM:
This very thin fibre is used mainly
in clothing thanks to its elasticity
which
supports
freedom
of
movement. In a liner, it works
ideally with the other materials to
provide perfect foot support for
great skiability.
THINSULATE®:
As a very thin fibre, it does not
affect the technical properties of
our liners, but enables excellent
foot
envelopment
for
great
skiability.
The liners in the PURE range can be customised. After being heated
in an oven, they can be ideally moulded to the shape of the skier’s
foot. See page 40 for more information about this process.
DEDICATED WOMEN’S CUFFS
MERINO WOOL:
More than a thermal insulator,
Merino wool is a natural thermal
regulator. Its main qualities are:
thermal control,
soft feel,
breathability,
odour control,
fast drying.
ECHO FOR LIFE:
Sheep wool is sourced from a
controlled farm in New Zealand
where materials are certified by ZQ
Merino Fibre.
The height of the cuff is significantly lower in comparison with a
unisex cuff. The tulip-shaped rear section easily accommodates
a woman’s natural calf shape. It is less structured to take better
account of female skiers’ physiology.
ZQ is a New Zealand-based association
that certifies the origin, quality, animal
friendliness and environmental processes
used in wool treatment and marketing.
Used in the lining of ski boots,
it provides very high thermal
comfort in any conditions.

POLAR:
Polar fleece provides very good thermal insulation.
WOOL:
Familiar for centuries, natural wool is an excellent thermal insulator. It
provides heat and comfort.
