Hyatt Regency Minneapolis
The $25 million renovation of the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis was based on a ‘locavore’ concept, using elements
that reference Minnesota’s culture and native industries, and sourcing the majority of the design products within
North America.
Royal Contract Lighting was commissioned to manufacture light fixtures for three of the Hyatt Regency’s public
spaces. For the first ballroom, nineteen modern floating ring fixtures, ranging in diameter from 4 to 7 feet, were
developed with an internal reflective LED strip, which creates a “halo” effect at the bottom of the fixture. For a second
ballroom, Royal Contract Lighting created stunning cloth shade chandeliers clad in gold organza, measuring 8 feet in
diameter. The third public space called for a contemporary steel and crystal lantern fixture. Manufactured with laser
cut ribs, a gold finish and more than 10,000 pieces of 30% lead crystal, each lantern measures 10 feet in diameter and
4 feet in height.

The DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Boston-Cambridge is located along the scenic Charles River and Boston
Esplanade, and offers panoramic views of the skylines of Boston and Cambridge. With 9,500 square feet of flexible
meeting and event space, the hotel provides a memorable backdrop for gatherings and celebrations.
In 2013, the public spaces were renovated with custom fixtures designed by Linda Snyder Design of California and
manufactured by Royal Contract Lighting in our Massachusetts facility. Three custom crystal drop fixtures, 60 inches
in diameter, grace the Charles River Ballroom. Modern square LED wall sconces were created for the lobby staircase.
Meeting rooms feature custom chandeliers with transparent shades and white glass cylinders. LED vertical box light
fixtures were created for the stairwells. A custom trellis alcove was built by Royal Contract Lighting for a second floor
lobby.

Westin Snowmass Resort
Surrounded by majestic peaks in the natural playground of Snowmass Village, the Westin Snowmass Resort is one of
Colorado’s largest ski resorts. A $55 million renovation completed in 2012 has made the Westin a world-class mountain destination. The Westin features a soaring lobby offering spectacular mountain views, a modern lounge and
public spaces, two new restaurants, spa and fitness center and 254 luxurious guest rooms with slope-side views.
Royal Contract Lighting created the three stunning ring fixtures that float above the contemporary atrium lobby. The
black metal rings, ranging in diameter from 8 to 12 feet, are crafted with a custom frame and channel that holds Sensitile acrylic squares and LED lights that radiate with a subtle glow in this spectacular space.

Padre Hotel
An iconic historical gem restored in contemporary grandeur, the Padre Hotel is a sophisticated boutique hotel with
112 guest rooms, a fine dining restaurant, and an uber hip lounge set in the heart of downtown Bakersfield. Originally
built in 1928, the eight-story Spanish Colonial Revival had a colorful history, and was purchased by its current owners
in 2008. An $18 million renovation turned the historic property into a stunning contemporary hotel.
Royal Contract Lighting provided custom ceiling fixtures for the hotel’s lobby, restaurants and meeting rooms in a
variety of styles and finishes. Custom mirrored sconces were created for the Belvedere Room, the Padre Hotel’s elegant
signature restaurant.

Built in 2012, the $500 million Trump International Hotel & Tower Toronto features stunning views of Toronto’s skyline,
261 exquisitely furnished guest rooms and suites, a spectacularly designed lobby, a signature restaurant, and an opulent spa and wellness facility. A theme of champagne and caviar sets the tone for luxurious interiors, which merge fine
details and old-world craftsmanship with a contemporary interpretation of materials and forms.
Royal Contract Lighting was commissioned by II by IV Design Associates to provide lighting for the lobbies, ballrooms,
Stock restaurant, spa, as well as the guest rooms and suites. The refined, limited color palette of dark and light neutrals
accented with hits of aubergine is reflected in all of the luxurious fixtures. Black crystal sconces and chandeliers bring
a sense of modern opulence to the ballrooms, while clear and aubergine crystal chandeliers complement the soothing elegance of the spa.

Located 15 miles west of Boston, The Verve, Crowne Plaza Hotel features 251 stylish guest rooms and 17,000 square
feet of vibrant function space to accommodate up to 450 guests. The hotel was newly renovated in 2012 with expressive architecture and design celebrating 20th century American pop culture.
Royal Contract Lighting created oversized drum fixtures with cloth shades for the lobby areas and meeting rooms
which complement the sophisticated, edgy architectural style. For the Pantry, the hotel’s signature restaurant, Royal
Contract Lighting manufactured custom “silverware chandeliers” to complement the treasure trove of “culinary tools
of the trade” that are cleverly woven into the restaurant’s design.

Overlooking Biscayne Bay in Miami Beach, the Mondrian South Beach by Morgans Hotel Group is a true modern
fantasy. The visionary style of designer Marcel Wanders is apparent from the moment you pull into the porte-cochere:
guests walk through a grand entryway appointed with custom-designed furniture, lighting and accent pieces, evoking Wanders’ design homage of “Sleeping Beauty’s Castle”. Royal Contract Lighting created the oversized brass bell
shaped lights with interior crystal chandeliers which add elegance and whimsy to the iconic space.

Elite Palace
The newly constructed Elite Palace of Woodside was designed to create an atmosphere of old world elegance combined with modern-day sophistication. This event facility can accommodate 700 guests for dinner and dancing in a
majestic main ballroom accented with dramatic vaulted ceilings and ornate chandeliers. The architecture features
custom-designed millwork, marble flooring, mahogany paneling and decorative paintings and rugs that evoke the
grandeur of European palaces.
Royal Contract Lighting supplied more than 200 custom fixtures for the ballrooms, prefunction spaces, meeting
rooms, and all other public spaces. All of the fixtures were manufactured in the Czech Republic and made of handcut
or handblown glass. The ten large classic lead crystal chandeliers shown in the ballroom photos measured 8 feet tall
and wide, and the complementary smaller chandeliers were 4 feet tall and wide.

Royal Sonesta, New Orleans
The Royal Sonesta is an elegant 500-room hotel on world-famous Bourbon Street in New Orleans. Its atmosphere
reflects a blend of European flair and Southern charm. The site of this grand hotel enjoys a long and colorful history
dating back to 1721, and once comprised houses, stables, a costume shop, winery and brewery. The current hotel was
built in 1967 and designed to look like a block of typical 1830s French Quarter row houses. Public areas are elegantly
appointed with crystal, marble, bronze and traditional furnishings. The elegant lobby and many of the guest rooms
open onto the central tropical courtyard.
Royal Contract Lighting created elegant crystal chandeliers with taffeta shades for the Fleur de Lis Room, as well as
brass lanterns for the Restaurant R’Evolution and contemporary pendant lighting for the French inspired Market
Room.

With 456 guestrooms and 15,000 square feet of function space, the Marriott Quincy offers amenities for travelers, business conferences and special events. The hotel recently completed a three year $6.5 million renovation in a contemporary, upbeat style. The new lobby was designed in a “Great Room” concept, meetings rooms and ballrooms were
freshly appointed, and a new outdoor patio was added.
Royal Contract Lighting was tasked to create custom 48” drum pendants for the lobby areas, double tiered wall
sconces for the Great Room lobby, and custom pier outdoor fixtures for the new outdoor patio.

The Maxwell Hotel
Purposely located at the base of Queen Anne Hill adjacent to the Seattle Center and the world-famous Space Needle,
The Maxwell Hotel has strong ties to Seattle’s arts community. This boutique hotel opened in 2010 and features a mural by Victor Ostrovsky in the art-inspired lobby. In addition to an open, chic, modern reception area, the hotel’s lobby
offers cozy seating areas for guests.
Royal Contract Lighting created custom fixtures for The Maxwell Hotel’s lobby, reception area, and seating areas. The
reception area fixture includes a screen of colored crystal that unites the collection of graduated length pendants into
one show-stopping fixture.

In October 2008, The Riviera Resort & Spa was revitalized with a complete head-to-toe makeover. Ordinary? Hardly.
Extraordinary? Absolutely. Host to Rat Pack icons such as Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. , the Riviera emanates the
Hollywood glitz and uber-cool attitude of 1960s Palm Springs.
Royal Contract Lighting produced ceiling fixtures and lamps for the hotel’s iconic public spaces. Most notable are the
massive red and black hand-cut crystal chandeliers that complement the red, black and mirrored glass design scheme
of the hotel’s glamorous restaurant, Circa 59.
