When buying a laptop for
school or college
5. Number pad:
Some laptops do not
have separate number
pad on the keyboard.
This causes problems
if there is numerical
work to do. It is three
times quicker using a
separate number pad
than the number keys
across the top of the
keyboard.
6. Price:
A lot of people have a set price
in mind and can be disappointed
when they can’t get the spec
they need to match their budget.
Always consider the cost of
accessories and software that
might be needed, which will
protect your laptop and help you
get the most out of it. We offer

1. Size/weight:
Your laptop will be with you
as you are on the move in
college so avoid anything
too heavy. The most popular
screen size for a laptop is
15.6” but they can weigh as

identity theft, infected websites, phishing,
spyware and spam. Free online versions
do not cover you to the same extent as the
yearly subscription services. We offer yearly

3. Hard Drive or Storage:
Will you store movies/music/
games/photos on your
machine? It is important that
you don’t compromise on
