the ECHO_LOCUS
is a gallery devoted to the Urban Contemporary aesthetic and the rise of street art and
graffiti culture. Noticing a lack of venues for Los Angeles’ vibrant urban art scene as well
as recognition for those who document the urban lifestyle, the idea to create a full
fledged gallery devoted to the burgeoning underground scene was born.
Created by a group of rogue artists and photographers, the Echo_Locus is a shelter for
art seeking refuge while providing a public venue to showcase images of the urban
‘street’ art minus the watchful eye of the local law enforcement.
After hours the gallery becomes the ART BAR where young urbanites come together to
socialize and be surrounded by the sights and sounds of the urban lifestyle.

currently scrawling on the walls of San Francisco after
saturating New York City’s landscape, will be making
his way down to Los Angeles shortly for his first solo
exhibition at New Image Art Gallery. His show will
feature drawings and paintings on paper and
discarded objects, a wall of sculptured metal masks
and an installation of felt witches. Jamie O’Shea,
editor of Juxtapoz magazine, says, “Neck Face is the
