We want to help transform cocoa farming into a viable and sustainable business for smallholders through a market driven approach. We assist in forming farmer groups, providing ongoing training and educating farmer communities in efforts of creating a fair and sustainable system that not only profit the cocoa industry, but the farmer families as well. Only with a mutually profitable system will a truly sustainable supply chain exist. 14 Good from the source SUSTAINABILITY SUSTAINABILITY BT Source BT Source was formed because we recognized the urgent need of a reliable, traceable and a fully sustainable supply chain. Our aim is to provide added value for both our customers and our farmers. BT Source strengths: • On the ground presence is key. • We have 6 buying stations across Indonesia, with additional ones to open within the year • Each regional buying station is run by a regional manager, with all reporting back to 1 senior manager based at our headquarters. A successful partnership Good quality cocoa products can only be achieved through collaboration with the farmers who grow it. This is the backbone reason that started our BT Care program on the 7th of July 2012. BT Care focuses on partnering with farmers, training farmers, rehabilitating farms and buying cocoa direct from farmers. With our large and growing number of buying stations all over Indonesia, we make it easy for farmers to sell directly to us with guarantee of a fair price.
