Chapter Contents Introduction 1-2 Hydraulic Circuit 1-3 Hydraulic Layout 1-4 A2364 Rev 4.0 1-1 PRO STEER Hydraulic Installation Manual Introduction The purpose of this section is to illustrate the hydraulic block, associated hoses/connections and the fitting points for the PRO STEER Series IV Valve Block on this particular vehicle (Figure 1-1) Figure 1-1. New Holland TR Incudes Models: TR 8x & 9x As the manufacture of the vehicles vary from model to model, with different fittings, machine options and changes in specifications, some information in this section maybe incorrect, and care should be taken in regard to hydraulic fittings and connection points. If you are unsure about a fitting or connection point, obtain instruction from the vehicle manufacturer or agent. • • • • • • • 1-2 Protective glasses, clothing and shoes should be worn when installing PRO STEER hydraulics to the vehicle. Disconnect the battery, remove the ignition key and fit a DO NOT OPERATE sign to the steering wheel. Make sure that all connection points have been cleaned, so that foreign material does not enter the hydraulic system when the connections are open to the atmosphere. Make sure that the hydraulic system has cooled down, so that the oil is unable to burn or scold the installer, or bystanders. Never open a hydraulic system that is under pressure. If checking for hydraulic leaks, DO NOT use unprotected hands, as hydraulic oil under pressure is capable of piercing the skin. Do not enter the articulation areas of 4WD vehicles whilst the engine is running, as you maybe crushed if the steering is activated. www.topconpa.com PRO STEER Hydraulic Installation Manual Hydraulic Circuit A2364 Rev 4.0 1-3 PRO STEER Hydraulic Installation Manual Hydraulic Layout 1-4 www.topconpa.com PRO STEER Hydraulic Installation Manual A2364 Rev 4.0 1-5 PRO STEER Hydraulic Installation Manual Notes: 1-6 www.topconpa.com Chapter 2 Hydraulic Installation This section explains how to install your PRO STEER hydraulic block.
