THE PEUGEOT SIGNATURE
The Peugeot adventure started in the 19th
century with a flurry of ingenious code-setting
creations and to this day, Peugeot coffee and
pepper mills set the standards for gourmets
and great chefs alike. Over the course of two
centuries, Peugeot has opened up its business
to the world, constantly revisiting its products
that eloquently attest to its flair. Since 1850,
the lion has epitomized the quality of Peugeot
products… the strength of their teeth, the
flexibility of their blades and fast cutting
capacity. Now, the brand has taken its pursuit
of blending excellence with pleasure further to
claim ground in the spices and wine universes
with its distinctive Lion hallmark styling that
combines the best of design and technology.
FRENCH MANUFACTURE
PSP is situated in Quingey, East of France, next
to the Swiss border. This small company, with a
human scale (130 employees) manufactures
the most famous mills in the world. Everything
is made in this French factory, leader in
export sales : design, technical development,
as well as products manufacturing. Wood is
turned, varnished, or painted; mechanisms
are stamped, carefully assembled with such
an expert know how. From their homeland,

around the world, in more than 80 countries.

Peugeot utilise un bois certifié PEFC issu en grande partie des forêts locales franc-comtoises.
Dans un souci de préservation de l’environnement, les copeaux et la sciure provenant
de la production sont récupérés et recyclés. La recherche constante d’amélioration conduit
à utiliser des peintures sans solvants pour la finition de nos moulins. Le recours à des ESAT
locaux (Etablissements et Services d’Aide par le Travail) permet de s’inscrire dans une
dimension sociale de proximité et de valoriser localement le travail des hommes.

PEFC certified. To protect environment, post manufacturing waste-wood (chips and sawdust)

PEPPER MECHANISM
SALT MECHANISM
The pepper mechanism is equipped with a helixshaped double row of teeth that guide and hold
the peppercorns for a perfect grind. It has a
patented treatment that protects the steel from
corrosion while maintaining its sharpness and
wear resistance.
The Peugeot salt mechanism is designed to grind
cooking salt. It is made of stainless steel and is not
sensitive to salt corrosion.
Which pepper to use?
To get the best out of your Peugeot pepper grinding
mechanism, we recommend you to use peppercorns
with a diameter of 6mm (¼”) or less. Black, white
and dry green peppercorns can be ground in
Peugeot pepper mills. The pink berries can be
ground only if in a blend (max 15% pink) with one
of these other peppercorns. Dried coriander is also
suitable for the pepper mechanism
Which salt to use?
To get the best out of your Peugeot salt grinding
mechanism, you should use:
- Salt with a diameter of 4mm (3/16”).
- Dry coarse salt: dry sea salt or rock salt.
WET SEA SALT SPECIFIC MECHANISM
CHILI PEPPER MECHANISM
The chili pepper mechanism is a Peugeot exclusive
product. This patented model has a pre-cutting
system and a mechanism that grinds dry chili
pepper. Like the pepper grinder it has a patented
treatment that protects the steel from corrosion while
maintaining its sharpness and wear resistance.
A specially designed mill for wet sea salt. The natural
consistency and moisture content do not allow the
use of an ordinary salt mill. Innovative patented
system for a high-performance grind without
blockage even with very humid or compressed salt.
This specific mechanism is composed of 3 stops
ensuring both mechanism resistance and constant
output, and an anti-clogging spiral which shuffles
the salt in the reservoir. Peugeot ceramic exclusive
mechanism, made in France.

NUTMEG MECHANISM
The Peugeot nutmeg mill is equipped with a double
stainless steel blade/grater and a strong claw which
enables the nutmeg to be very finely ground. Just
turn the handle to release all the nutmeg flavours,
without any risk to your fingers.

COFFEE MECHANISM
Coffee mills feature a specialised coffee specific
mechanism, fully adjustable, that creates a precise
grind that promises full aroma. Choose between
an extremely fine grind to prepare an espresso, or
coarser grind perfect for a French press: Peugeot
coffee mills let everyone enjoy coffee to their liking.

stands out for its unique usage; used sideways, directly
over a dish, it offers delicate and precise control over
the volume and position of the fresh grind.
These mills have been created for the
Universal Expo 2015.

steel with the sensuality of wood; its line and its tapered
base are inspired by the stylistic codes of automobile
