This reduces the amount of rail space needed while offering more than twice the run time of the N battery HWS! G23 magnifier The G23 is a 2nd generation 3X magnifier that offers greater eye relief, a more robust flip mounting platform, internal optical adjustments, and will align perfectly with standard or 7mm height HWS units. 512 camouflage L-3 EOTech’s most popular model is now available in Mossy Oak Obsession® or RealTree APG HD® patterns. Get the most out of your shotgun, crossbow or varminter! 517 non-nv compatible The new 517 HWS offers the extremely common AA battery operation, standard circle/dot reticle and side button access that is perfect for use with magnification. 3 eotech – speed. accuracy. victory. about eotech L-3 EOTech, Inc. develops and manufactures products that leverage its advance electro-optics technologies. The advanced holographic weapon sight produced by L-3 EOTech has revolutionized electronic sighting technology and is being adopted rapidly by the elite units in the military and law enforcement agencies around the world as their preferred and standard close quarter battle (CQB) optic for small arms. When used in CQB, this revolutionary weapon optic delivers amazing speed and accuracy gains as well as uncompromising use of peripheral vision. 4 eotech THE HOLOGRAPHIC ADVANTAGE In holography, all the information required to reconstruct the The Magic of Holography reticle image is recorded everywhere in the Heads-Up Display window. If the window is obstructed by mud, snow, rain, etc., the HWS remains fully operational, with point of aim/impact being maintained. Even in such extreme cases where the front window is shattered, the HWS is fully functional and the zero is maintained! As long as the operator can see through any portion of the window, the entire reticle pattern is visible on target. Still accurate covered in mud Still accurate covered in snow Still accurate, broken window The operator can still engage with confidence! BATTLE PROVEN The HWS has been designed and tested to provide consistent, reliable performance, even in the most hostile operating environments. The HWS is waterproof (submersible), fog-proof, shock-proof, and withstands extreme temperature variations. The HWS meets military drop test requirements with no functional degradation to the weapon optic and holds zero to within 2 MOA! Every HWS is extensively tested in a punishing recoil simulator generating 2,000 G’s of acceleration in less than 1.0 millisecond. HEADS UP, FULL VIEW Engagement with two eyes open is a must. The HWS employs a true Heads-Up Display that eliminates blind spots, constricted vision, or the tunnel vision associated with tubed sights. All user controls are flush to the HWS’s streamlined housing with no protruding knobs, battery compartments or mounting rings that block the shooters vision of the target area. True, two eyes open shooting is realized. Instant threat identification is achieved by maximizing the operator’s peripheral vision and ultimately gaining greater control of the engagement zone. The end result - operators achieve maximum situational awareness. NO REVEALING SIGNATURE The HWS is a passive weapon optic and does not emit any muzzle side, position revealing light signature. The projected reticle pattern is visible only to the operator. Even Gen III night vision equipment cannot detect muzzle side signature of the operator’s position. The result – the operator remains absolutely undetectable in any operating environment. NO RETICLE WASHOUT The HWS’s 30 brightness settings (10 settings in NV mode) ensure the holographic reticle can be instantly viewed in ALL types of lighting environments, cluttered backgrounds and target colors. The HWS delivers an impressive 50,000,000:1 bright to low reticle contrast ratio to ensure the reticle is always clearly viewable. Reticles can be easily seen against white targets in full sunlight – even in desert or tundra environments. With the HWS, there are no reticle “wash out” conditions as seen in red dot sighting systems. For extreme low light conditions, engaging the HWS’s night vision mode allows the reticle pattern to be viewed in tandem with the most advanced night vision systems on the market today. The 30 brightness settings provide the operator the flexibility to adjust for optimal conditions in today’s ever changing battlefields. 5 general specifications eotech hws models general specifications for all models Operation Optics: Holography – parallax free Magnification: 1x Eye Relief: Unlimited Temperature: -40° to 150° F Sealing: Internally fog-proofed optics Adjustment (per click): 0.5 MOA (1/2” at 100 yds) Adjustment Range: +/- 40 MOA travel Heads-Up-Display Window Optical Surfaces: Anti-reflective coating Window Dimensions: 1.20” x 0.85” (30 x 23mm) Front Window Material: 1/8” solid glass Rear Window Material: Shatter resistant laminate (3/16” thick) Field of View (100 yds): 30 yds (28m) at a 4” eye relief Standard Reticle: 65MOA circle with quadrant ticks with 1 MOA aiming dot Electrical Brightness Adjustment Range: Normal Mode 110,000:1 over 20 settings. Where the competitors can only provide a single aiming dot, L-3 EOTech reticle designs can be fabricated to incorporate multiple AR223 .223 cal with XR308 XR500 .308 cal with .50 BMG with 661 FN303 SAGE Less Lethal Less Lethal 62 gr M855 FMJ 150 gr M59 FMJ gr M33 FMJ at Launcher 37mm at roughly 2,680 at roughly 2,800 roughly 3,000 (.68 cal) Launcher fps using fps using fps using a 14.5” barrel a 24.8” barrel a 44.5” barrel trajectory point of aim/point of impact, range assist scales, and anti-torque or cant visual indicators. With this advanced holographic technology, the HWS demonstrates its unique flexibility to solve a number of fire control issues for a host of applications and weapon platforms. L-3 EOTech introduces a new 2 dot reticle in the new XPS models. This simple reticle design is calibrated to the specific trajectory of the M4 carbine. Although only two dots are provided, this unique pattern provides (4) usable aiming points. The 2 dot reticle can also be distinguished easily with or without magnification. In addition, this reticle pattern can work on other weapon platforms and provide (3) aiming points: close, medium and long range (see chart below). 50 yards and 200 yards 500 yards 2-Dot Reticle 14 7 yards mounting solutions mounting solutions m-4 Flat Top Co Witness Setup Sight positioned on flat top. L-3 Infrared Products is a leading designer and manufacturer of commercial thermal imaging cameras and modules that are used by ground forces and urban tactical teams in support of public safety and homeland security efforts. about irp The Thermal-Eye line from L-3 Infrared Products includes finished cameras and thermal camera cores, used by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to develop their own finished cameras. L-3 Infrared Products also offers a number of Thermal-Eye camera accessories such as optional lenses and developers’ kits. Thermal-Eye products provide the ability to see in complete darkness, over water and through inclement weather, dust, smoke and haze with no illumination required. 16 infrared products infrared vs visible light Electromagnetic energy beyond visible light is called infrared. The human eye cannot see it, but the L-3 Infrared Products cameras can. All objects emit infrared energy at ordinary temperatures. The hotter the object, the more infrared energy it emits. The human eye is capable of seeing a small range of frequencies of the Electromagnetic Spectrum, visible light. Objects emit visible light only at very high temperatures. What is Thermal Imaging? Light, heat, radio wave, x-rays and more all fall in different parts of the electromagnetic spectrum. Thermal imagers do not see light, they see heat, which is in the Infrared (IR) portion of this spectrum. Like visible light, heat can be optically collected and focused. Thermal imagers “transpose” infrared energy to shades of gray on a monitor based on temperature levels. Thermal imaging cameras detect activity not normally visible to the naked eye. The hotter the object, the more infrared energy it emits, therefore, this technology works extremely well in both daylight or darkness. Unlike night vision technology, thermal imaging is not susceptible to haze or smoke and cannot be blinded by bright lights. It is an essential tool for all military and law enforcement situations from search and rescue, surveillance, or force protection. The Thermal-Eye Renegade-320 is controlled under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) USML Category I (f), and may not be exported to a foreign person, either in the U.S. or abroad, without a license or exemption from the U.S. Department of State. 17 thermal technology model renegade-320 Order Code: See chart Lens: See chart Length/Width/Height: 11” x 2.75” x 3” (28 x 6.9 x 7.6cm) Weight: 34 oz (964g) Pixel Count (Resolution): 320 x 240 Thermal Sensitivity: ≤ 50mK Field of View (H x V): See chart Power Source: (4) 123 Lithium Batteries Operating Time: + 6 hours Operating Temp: -4°F to 140°F (-20°C to 60°C) Waterproof: 9 ft (3m) Shockproof: up to 4ft (1.2m) drop Output Format: NTSC on rear outlet jack. This light consists of photons which are particles of light. As they enter the lens of the night vision device, they strike a light-sensitive surface called a photocathode. The photocathode converts the photons into tiny, subatomic particles that carry electricity called Electrons. The electrons are then amplified to a greater number by passing through a microchannel plate (MCP). Once amplified, the electrons travel through a phosphorous screen that converts the electrons back into photons that enable an operator to view a virtually dark environment. Night vision systems can be categorized as 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Generation. Gen III is used most by military and law enforcement and is the most sophisticated version to date. Here, a sensitive chemical, Gallium Arsenide, was added to provide a brighter, sharper image as compared to Gen I and II image intensifiers. Generation III night vision is recognized the world over as a leading differentiator in the modern battlefield, changing urban settings and demanding tactical engagements. EOS is a leader in developing cutting-edge Gen III and Next-Gen night vision weapon sights and goggle systems for discriminating governments, soldiers, police units and others that demand the finest night vision available.
