EDITORIAL
Dear Readers,
Due to this winter’s weather, with lacking natural snow, everybody realised how important it is to have a quality, tried- and tested snowmaking
system. Such a system ensures that the winter season runs without
complications or delays, and guarantees a long life cycle within the
entire value-added chain and throughout work activities related to the
functioning of a ski area.
In fact, ski areas equipped with an excellent snowmaking system were
able to commence the season well, despite unfavourable weather conditions. During this period, we stood alongside our customers, placing
at their disposal our expertise and skill, our products and our services,
and therefore contributed to their successful season.
In recent years, the Demaclenko brand has grown, secured an excellent
position, and our blue champions are now rooted on the most famous
pistes worldwide - in America, Europe and Asia. Dolomiti Superski, Ischgl, Kitzbühel, St. Moritz and Zermatt are just a few of the distinguished names that have chosen us, marking our ability to build new and
important partnerships year after year.
Business and marketing strategies combine with our dedication to develop sustainable and efficient products. The new Eos lance is an example of our ability to enhance snow production while improving power
efficiency (see page 8-9). Another objective we have is to reduce noise
from our machinery. This has been achieved with our Titan 2.0, thanks
to a new fan and an aerodynamically improved turbine see page 10-11).
Thanks to the many technical changes we have made, we have been
able to make our snowmaking systems even more modern and functional, without losing sight of cost-efficiency, performance and environmental friendliness.
In view of the success of the past season with the sale of over 1000
snow guns, we look forward to the next season with confidence, convinced that we can improve this result even further.
Demaclenko, your snowmakers.

As a person in charge, you have spent a lifetime working on

increasingly on the agendas of site managers. What do think...
are companies in the sector moving in the right direction?
Snowmaking is a topic that has to be increasingly discussed by
site managers since there is no way of escaping weather conditions. In a ski resort, a high-powered snowmaking system is much
more important these days than a cableway installation, because
the opening of a resort is dependent on snow conditions. After a
year like this, many resorts will reflect on future strategies. However,
a good number of them are already moving in the right direction.

A new era in
snowmaking:
EOS
Eos was the Greek goddess of the dawn. Demaclenko’s
new ambitious project borrows her name as a symbol of
a new era in the snowmaking sector.
Thanks to the excellent combination of advanced
snowmaking performance, power efficiency, and
reliable technology this new lance has all it takes to
win the trust of clients.
The new Eos lance is the result of our team’s continuous
efforts in terms of Research & Development. The visibly innovative design of the head, the new nucleators
and nozzles have all been conceived to significantly improve snowmaking quantity and quality.
Eos is pure passion: it is the expression of our constant
effort towards innovation, technological development,
improved performance, sustainability and a modern,
clean design. It’s a revolutionary product, ready to make
its appearance in 2016.

Trust and quality are essential for establishing long-term business relationships. The relationship created this year between the Tyrolean ski

The recently built connection at Versciaco between the two sides
of the Sesto valley has significantly boosted tourism in Sesto, in
Alta Val Pusteria. Since 2010, our team has been involved in very
important works in this South Tyrolean ski area. Our snow guns are
covering the pistes of this renowned ski resort in sixty hours this
winter, whereas previously it took two weeks.
Rudolf Egarter, Technical Director of Sextner Dolomiten AG: “The work went smoothly with Demaclenko. We are pleased with the installed machines,
as well as with the technicians and the service offered by this company – they are reliable and fast.”

The Divdeli project went through intense and exciting work phases. The new system was eagerly awaited in Georgia, where the economic
growth of recent years has led to an increase in the popularity of winter sports. Once the work was completed, we felt that we had achieved an
important goal and we are really thrilled about continuing our collaboration with our Georgian friends.

Aleksandre Onoprishvili, Head of Mountain Resort Development Company: “Over the years
I have visited several ski areas in the Alps, and
have always dreamt that one day I would build
equally beautiful ones in my own country, Georgia. I am convinced that with the construction of the snowmaking
systems in Gudauri and Divdeli, we have taken an important step
towards achieving this goal. Demaclenko built and organised everything efficiently and to tight deadlines, bringing a breath of fresh
air to these areas. Indeed, this project has brought a wave of optimism to the Divdeli and Gudauri teams and serves as an incentive
to make the area an ever-increasing tourist attraction. I’m really
happy to have been involved in this project, and to have brought
the best snowmaking technology to Georgia.”
