M-iQ AirConcept
At the heart of the M-iQ is the M-iQ Filter – ground breaking
efficiency combined with state of the art engineering, used
in this application for the very first time.
The M-iQ Filter introduces a revolutionary system. Filtered
food waste is actively removed from the wash water during
the cleaning process. First the filter collects the food waste
from the water and then rinses any residual food debris
cyclically from the tank. Additional fresh water is not needed.
The M-iQ AirConcept, an airflow concept integral to the
machine is the basis for absolute cleanliness and hygiene
security in compliance with stringent DIN standards.
It also delivers optimal energy efficiency, resulting in very
low waste air emissions. The heat recovery module integrated within the waste air process eliminates the need for
dedicated direct exhaust ductwork, provided that sufficient
room air changes are available.

M-iQ Washing Dynamics
A hygienic workflow begins with the loading section of
the machine. Food debris is automatically and periodically
removed and flushed by water flow at regular intervals,
ensuring maximum cleanliness.
With 100 % more cleaning efficiency and 30 % more cleaning power, M-iQ Washing Dynamics achieve previously impossible cleaning levels. This means maximum power with
a third less consumption of chemicals, water and energy.

M-iQ Energy Concept
M-iQ Self-Cleaning
Heat recovered from the washing process is re-used by
means of an innovative 3-stage energy control system.
This tandem control ensures an optimal energy balance.
Following the self-cleaning cycle, manual cleaning can be
undertaken very easily in a thorough and, more importantly, quicker and more reliable manner than before. Only the
areas clearly marked in blue need to be cleaned manually.

At the end of the working day the M-iQ is cleaned using
the tank water already available. The heat recovery system
is automatically cleaned for maximum effectiveness. Food
particles and other debris are completely away using only
a single filling of the pumped final rinse zone.

M-iQ Control Concept
The brain of the M-iQ is the BlueVision control software. All
cleaning processes can be controlled from the safety glass
CC sensor touch operating display.
Clever: only the menu icons that can be used at any one
time are displayed, doing away with non required information. The self-explanatory handling with a large TFT colour
graphic display ensures reliable operation.
Optionally the M-iQ provides access into the machines online (CC-Insight) as a controll and monitoring system (CMS).
All system-relevant data, functions and operating processes
are stored and displayed by the integrated KMM communication module. Operating conditions are analysed and
diagnosed, and can be easily changed using the PC´s as
necessary.

M-iQ GreenEye-Technology –

M-iQ GreenEye – Always on the right track
M-iQ GreenCoach uses a green
indicator light to show which lines
should be loaded with dishware
at the feed point. This enables the
M-iQ to run at optimum capacity
at all times.
The rinse function is activated for up to three sections of the belt that actually contain dishware.
By dynamically combining the efforts of people and machines,
the M-iQ takes dishwashing performance to a whole new
level. The intelligent M-iQ GreenCoach system works according to the principle of “detect, react, evaluate, recommend,
monitor”. This system enables the machine to detect gaps
on the conveyor belt between dishware or between baskets.
It responds by only activating the rinse function for specific
sections of the belt where dishware has been detected – and
it can do this while monitoring up to three lines simultaneously.
All the gaps on the belts are evaluated with the utmost precision and with a whole new level of detail, enabling savings of
up to 50 percent in both fresh water and rinse agent.
But that’s not all: M-iQ GreenEye-Technology not only identifies gaps and adjust its performance accordingly, it also evaluates those gaps for the machine operator. For the first time
this means that the wash-up personnel have the information
they need to operate the machine at maximum efficiency. The
machine’s specific recommendations are clearly visible at the
feed point in the form of a green light which shows users how
to achieve optimum belt and line capacity utilization.
The new approach offered by M-iQ with GreenEye-Technology
guarantees extraordinarily economical and hygienic dishwashing results. Available for all conveyor width´s and passing
height 465 mm.

All curtains are coded to ensure that they are always
correctly installed (A). Clearly visible signal lights show
the operational status of the M-iQ. A white lamp indicates
that R/O rinse is selected, while a flashing orange light
warns operators when the prewash tank-filter is blocked (B).
Every component that may require manual handling is
clearly marked in blue, making for easy identification during maintenance procedures. Additionally, all detachable
components are fixed with strings or chains to secure
them against getting lost.

and shipping companies are extremely high.
To acknowledge these efforts, the International Travel
Catering Association (ITCA) – which represents the
interests of companies in the industry – presents its
highly-prized Mercury Awards. Widely regarded as
an important distinction, the Mercury Awards serve
to identify the strongest partners in the travel catering
industry.
In 2013 and 2014 the prizes in the “Heavy Equipment”
category and “Systems and Process Development”
went to the German dishwasher manufacturer MEIKO.
The Offenburg, Germany-based company received
the award for its latest generation of M-iQ flight and
rack-type dishwashing machines as well as its GreenEye Technology. Both, M-iQ and M-iQ with GreenEyeTechnology are meanwhile well received by numerous
inflight caterers worldwide.
