Bob Cannarella will make up a flyer for the Christmas Party. Old Business: The Florida Suncoast MG Car Club Monthly Minutes Summary September 9, 2009 Ballot/Election of Officers for 2010: There is almost a full slate of officers for 2010. President: Fred Humberstone : Vice President: still need volunteer Secretary: Gail Lenhard Treasurer: Bob Cannarella Vice-President, Glenn Lenhard called the meeting to order at 7:37 p.m. and welcomed everyone. The Secretary’s Report and the Treasurer’s Report were approved as presented. Board of Directors Dave tietz, John Soler, Bruce Rauch, and Dennis Magee Membership Report: The Club currently has 94 member/families Regalia: Contact Barrie Carson for tee shirts, name badges, or other regalia items. Bob Cannarella asked if there was any other regalia item that would be of interest to Club members. Some suggestions included: Club watch, license plate bracket, and lapel pins. Barrie said he would look into these and report back. MG Jamboree 17: The dates for this event are: November 5, 6, & 7, 2010 at the Riverside Inn located in Homosassa, FL. Gail Lenhard has agreed to Co-Chair this and Patricia Soler volunteered to assist as needed. Contact Gail Lenhard for FSMGCC logo clocks ($10) and MG Jamboree Cookbooks ($5). Northeast High School Auto Body Shop MG Donation: The car that Glenn’s MG Repair is donating has not been picked up as yet. Fred Humberstone has a number of body parts that he would be willing to donate to the school. Past Activities: There were write-ups in the Informer for the August 15th Breakfast Club event. Joy Rainey – Coast to Coast Drive: Fred Humberstone reported that Joy Rainey’s partner, Trevor Hulks, was diagnosed with cancer and would be undergoing treatment. Therefore, the event has been postponed. He asked that the Club hold off sending our sponsor donation. The event held on September 7th Pioneer Days in Dade City & Lunch was well attended with around 40 cars. The Nature Coast/ Suncoast Classic Car Club generously bought lunch for everyone. Future Activities: Glenn briefly reviewed upcoming events: Zephyrhills Celtic Festival and Car Show – March 6, 2010: Dennis Magee said that he was working on this event and is happy that the show would be in a larger, more accessible location. If anyone would like to help on this, contact him. October 3rd– Hope Children’s Home Car Show hosted by Vera & Jim Kearney. October 24th – All British Car Show & Auto Jumble in Safety Harbor. Dennis Magee has set up a Ladies British Tea at Taste’s Courtyard Restaurant. He has reserved the back room at the Paradise Restaurant for those who want to meet for breakfast. For early registrants, a complimentary breakfast coupon will be issued. November 7th – Fun Rallye with Bill Forshay & Dave Tietz. Participants should bring a picnic lunch. The first car is scheduled to leave at 10:30 a.m. and the rallye should take 1 ½ - 2 hours to complete. Meet in Tampa at the intersection of East Hillsboro Avenue and Harney by 10 a.m. Dennis agreed to send out an invite to the other Clubs. See Informer for more information. December 5th – St. Petersburg Santa Parade followed by lunch at Chattaway’s. December 13th – Christmas Party & Installation of Officers at Deb & Bob Cannarella’s home Glenn suggested that Dennis send out press releases to the various publications including Classic Motorsports and Hemmings Sports & Exotics. Correspondence: All items were given to the appropriate parties. Announcements: Barrie Carson won the 50 – 50 Raffle.
