He received his doctoral training at the University of Minnesota and has been involved extensively in MMPI research for the past 29 years. He is a co-developer of the MMPI-2-RF and co-author of numerous test manuals, books, book chapters, and articles on the MMPI instruments. He is the incoming Editor-in-Chief of the journal Psychological Assessment, and a member of APA’s Committee on Psychological Tests and Assessment. His clinical practice involves supervision of assessments at Kent State’s Psychological Clinic, consultation to agencies that screen candidates for public safety positions and provision of consultation and expert witness services in forensic cases. Page 2 Tripler Army Medical Center Department of Behavioral Health Continuing Education Program Distinguished Speaker Series Workshop Friday, August 21, 2015 ● 9:00 am—4:00 pm ● TAMC Chapel Distinguished Speaker: Yossef Ben-Porath, Ph.D. Target Audience: All privileged providers including behavioral health (BH), other medical providers, Fellows, Residents, Interns and Practicum students Workshop Topic: MMPI-2-RESTRUCTURED FORM™, INTERMEDIATE LEVEL This intermediate level workshop is intended for individuals who are familiar with the MMPI-2 who wish to learn how to use the most recent, up-to-date version of the instrument, the MMPI-2-RF. The workshop includes a brief overview of the MMPI-2-RF, a discussion of the rationale for, and methods used to develop the test, a description of the 51 scales of the inventory and the documentation available to guide its use, guidelines for MMPI-2-RF interpretation, and case illustrations. Learning Objectives: 1) Identify the rationale for, and methods used in revising the MMPI-2 2) Describe the 51 scales of the MMPI-2-RF 3) Utilize the MMPI-2 RF material and documentation 4) Administer and score the MMPI-2-RF following standard procedures 5) Use MMPI-2-RF Comparison Group data 6) Interpret the MMPI-2-RF Page 3 Continuing Education (CE) Credits For Psychologists and Non-Psychologists The Tripler Army Medical Center Department of Behavioral Health Continuing Education Program is approved by the American Psychological Association to offer continuing education for psychologists; it maintains responsibility for this program and its content. It is recommended that participants who are non-psychologists check with their respective state board to ensure that credits obtained will be accepted. Six (6) hours of CE credits will be awarded for full day attendance at the workshop. The sign-in sheet and evaluation form must be completed in order to receive CE credits. No partial credit will be provided if you leave early. A CE certificate for psychologists and non-psychologist will be issued within twenty business days of receiving the evaluation forms and confirming your attendance on the sign-in sheets. Highly recommend arriving early to find parking, get settled, and relax. Anuenue Café is just beyond the information desk in the main lobby, oceanside, turn left, and down the hall.
