2nd Annual Relay for Life Bakken BBQ
On June 6th MBI– Watford City’s Relay for Life team, Cancer
Crushers, participated in the McKenzie County Relay for Life
event!
On June 20th MBI– Belfield hosted the 2nd Annual Relay for Life Bakken BBQ at the Rec Center in
Dickinson. 19 companies participated in the BBQ competition; MBI took home 2nd place and
People’s Choice! The event raised over $60,000 for Relay for Life!

MBI teamed up with University of St. Mary for
cookout in Watford City.
MBI grilled burgers and brats for over 300 Conoco Phillips employees on June 25th, to
celebrate Conoco Phillips’ 100 days accident free!

Who is this MBI Employee?
What is the Hats Off Award
The Hats Off Award is a way for any coworker or
supervisor to recognize the hard work and accomplishments of
another coworker. Each Hats Off Award submitted is reviewed
for approval by Human Resources. Upon approval, the
recipient is sent a MBI hat and gift card.
What deserves a Hats Off Nomination?
Any task or effort that is work related and that we deem to go
above and beyond the normal job duties. For example, if a
colleague helped with your work while you were gone or
stayed late to assist with a project or volunteering to help with
tasks that are not included in day to day job responsibilities.

Employee Spotlight
A prime example of hard work paying off is
Brady Olson. A native to North Dakota and a 2013
graduate of South Heart High School, he has shown
what it means to start at the bottom and work your
way towards the top to meet your goals.
Brady came to hear about MBI through
family and friends of current MBI employees.
Wanting to be surrounded by what he heard was a
friendly and positive atmosphere he applied for a job
as a Super Vac Hose Hand last July. He now has
earned his CDL and has worked his way up to a Super
Vac Operator. At a mere 19 years he has shown
maturity beyond his years.
When asked why he joined the MBI crew he
replies with enthusiasm, “Great pay, great hours and
nice bosses.” Not only has Brady helped MBI out in
the Super Vac department he has also been an asset
to MBI by encouraging others to join the MBI Team.
If you need an example of how hard work pays off
