Flash component Displays a ambient/flash ratio using color bars Measure and displays flash separate from ambient exposure Provides percentage of flash in the exposure 100% flash 0% flash 50% flash Enhanced Digital Video/Cine features HD CINE Mode HD CINE mode T (shutter speed) Frame Rate (f/s) F (Aperture) Lx, CdM2, fc, fl display ISO CINE Mode CINE mode T (shutter speed) ANG (shutter angle) Frame Rate (f/s) F (Aperture) Lx, CdM2, fc, fl display ISO Enhanced Digital Video/Cine features CINE Mode Frame rate (f/s) Shutter angle Select frame rate and shutter angle for your special effects and applications Create your own frame rates and shutter angle (in Custom setting) if numbers are not in the original list Enhanced Digital Video/Cine features Illuminance Mode Lux (lx) Foot-candle (fc) Luminance Mode Candle / m2 (cd/m2) Foot-lambert (fl) (5 deg. viewfinder required) Additional Data Illuminance /Luminance displayed with exposure or independently Enhanced Digital Video/Cine features Filtration Compensation Mode • • • Filter Compensation value can be entered directly Filter Pack in Use can be stored (select up to four filters in use) Custom filter factors and names can be created Filter Compensation Setting Edit Filter Setting Memory Clear and Recall Up to 9 readings are stored Review all stored values and recall their measured f-stop All or individual stored values can be cleared Custom Settings 13 settings can be customized, plus factory default setting Select only those function you need or want Spot Attachment 5° Spot attachment for reflected light measurements Flash measuring range f 2.8 ~ f128.9 Ambient measuring range EV 3.0 ~ EV 22.9 Necessary for Exposure Profiling Necessary for Landscape use Retractable Lumisphere Extended position (standard 3D subject – studio portraits) Retracted position (for flat artwork, contrast and ratio, illuminance measurements) What is Exposure Profiling? Each type of digital camera sensor has its own unique way of responding to various exposure conditions. These conditions often change the accuracy of the rate ISO and the dynamic range. Left: image was exposed using a programmed L-478DR with the Exposure Profile and Pre-Exposure Warning and balanced the flash light. Right: Using a camera’s built-in meter or conventional hand-held light meter How do I Profile? 1.
