Helping Out in Our Community
For our last service project for 2010-2011,
we will be volunteering at the
Girls on the Run 5K
McKinnish Park, Carrollton
Saturday, April 30th.
Girls on the Run (GOTR) is a non-profit organization and they
count on their volunteers to make a difference in our community! GOTR provides 10 week character building training programs
all over the nation for pre-adolescent girls. Throughout the 10
weeks the girls train for a 5K while learning about physical
health, nutrition, spirituality, teamwork, and community involvement. The program concludes with a 5K race event which gives the
girls a chance to shine and an overwhelming sense of accomplishment.
If you are interested in volunteering for the race please e-mail
Stephanie LoCascio at slocascio2@yahoo.com.
