TACOPS® is the acronym for “Tactical Operations.”
When Bill Strang started TSSi, his initial emphasis
was on supporting military Special Operations Forces.
TSSi later expanded our customer base by providing
support to law enforcement tactical units. TACOPS®
reflected the operational missions for both of these
original customer groups, and was trademarked by TSSi
to use for our own brand of products. The cross hairs
in the logo note these items are on target to meet our
customers’ needs. TACOPS® equipment is customdesigned and developed by TSSi to meet specific
unfulfilled requirements experienced by the end
user. TACOPS® product development always includes
extensive input and participation from those who will
ultimately use the items and incorporates special
features that enhance functionality and capability.
TSSi provides TACOPS® equipment for all military
forces, law enforcement agencies, and for disaster/
emergency response professionals worldwide. Please

EOD Technician Kit
The EOD Technician Kit provides the
individual issue tools and protective
equipment operators need to fulfill
their complex missions.
Items included: Backpack with a hydration
bladder, hi-intensity flashlight, M11 EOD knife
with scabbard and accessory pouch, protective
eyewear, a mine probe kit, a remote pull-line
kit and reel, blasting cap box and crimper,
headlamp and a multipurpose tool.
The US Marine Corps Systems Command selected TSSi to provide and
ship Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Kits to Marine Corps EOD
units worldwide. The five-year contract, awarded in 2012, is valued at
$45 million. TSSi was awarded the predecessor contract in 2007.
EOD Search Kit
The EOD Search Kit provides the EOD
team with specialized tools and equipment
to conduct interior and exterior search
operations involving Improvised Explosive
Devices (IEDs), Unexploded Ordnance (UXO)
and Weapons of Mass Destruction.
This kit includes such items as a video
borescope, high intensity searchlight,
thermal imagers, spotting scope, range
finder, metal detector, laser pointer,
binoculars and a digital camera.
EOD General Purpose Kit
The EOD General Purpose Kit provides the EOD team with a variety of common tools and
equipment to support operations outside the scope of more specialized EOD missions.

This kit includes hand tools such as
screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, wrenches,
file sets, socket sets and pry bars. It also
includes a 36V hammer drill, circular
saw and reciprocating saw, as well as
power inverters and step down converters,
grounding rod and Unexploded Ordnance
(UXO) marking set.
EOD Disposal Kit
The EOD Disposal Kit provides the EOD team with
the necessary tools and equipment to perform both
electric and non-electric demolition operations. In
addition to an ohmmeter and blasting machine, this
kit contains such items as a blasting cap container,
crimpers and electrical wire.

EOD IED Kit
The EOD Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Kit provides the EOD
team with the necessary tools and equipment to support operations
involving IEDs and Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD).
The IED Kit’s items were chosen to provide a mobile “on site”
capability without having to assemble a variety of tools for
every mission. Included in the fielded kit is an electronic
stethoscope system that provides for both contact and noncontact “sensing” of potential IEDs or WMDs.
EOD Disassembly Kit
The EOD Disassembly Kit provides the EOD
team with a variety of hand tools, bench
equipment and select safety equipment used
to augment the Mk 121 Mod 1 Mechanical
Remote Fuze Disassembly Kit.
Included in this kit are myriad different types and sizes
of spanner wrenches, clamps and abrasives, as well as
both electric and manual tools for extremely detailed
work.
