Toyota Capital Malaysia was proudly established in November 2001 as a strategic joint
venture between Toyota Financial Services
Corporation and UMW Corporation. Since
then we have always been guided by our
corporate vision of becoming the Most
Admired Auto-Financier through service excellence and product innovation in the region.
At Toyota Capital Malaysia, we aim to add
value to our customers, dealers and distributors.
Our mission is to progressively deliver top-notch

on Customers First. Our zero down payment
with Toyota Drive (the first consumer lease
product in Malaysia), affordable 2-Tier plan
plus our interest-saving FlexiPlan and Islamic
products are key milestones on the path of
success via effective
adaptation

market.
In the past 11 years we have registered a
significant growth in assets. We plan to
continue with this steady growth in the next
5 years by strengthening our I.T. infrastructure
and support facilities with business process
re-engineering methods. We believe that our

processing speed, greater flexibility and,
most importantly, our customers’ satisfaction.

Executive Vice President
Toyota Capital Malaysia was established as a captive finance company
of Toyota to enhance value of existence for Toyota group. We will
provide sound financial services that contribute to a prosperous life
for Toyota customer, dealer and others. Our aim is to attract more
customers; enriching their life with car ownership via affordable access to
auto-financing and services.
We shall deliver this by implementing Toyota way: Respect for people
(Respect, Team work) and Continuous improvement (Challenge, Kaizen,
Genchi Genbutsu), by utilizing Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) Cycle
approach. This practice leads us to strengthen ourselves and empower
us to provide better products and services.
We are now into our 11th year. Our customer base has grown to almost
80 thousands. We are indeed deeply grateful to our customers and
business partners for their continuous support.
To meet customers’ diverse needs, we shall continue to offer innovative
auto- financing products. Accelerating our credit decision process and
enhancing our operations to deliver the best customer experience and
service excellence.

in vehicle finance for Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) around the world, with a global presence covering more than

Toyota Capital Malaysia (TCAPM) is a joint venture
between Toyota Financial Services Corporation
(TFSC) and UMW Corporation. Our core business
model is to provide automotive financial services for
Toyota and Lexus customers. In recent years, we
started to grow our auto-financing business to
support the sales of national car brand, Perodua
and also commercial vehicles such as Hino and
Daihatsu.

in November 2001 after TFSC acquired shares in the
company.
The company was established in 1971 as part of the
expansion plan of UMW, our local joint venture
partner to finance its equipment operations. It
TCAPM is the leader in Islamic Financing in the TFS
Group. Through product innovation, we continue to
contribute towards the growth of TFS globally.
The name Toyota Capital Malaysia was eventually
adopted on 18 August 2008 as part of TFSC's
alignment of its Malaysia operations with the
naming convention used globally in all countries
where TFSC operates. UMW Corporation retains its
30% equity stake in TCAPM.

Hire Purchase
Toyota Capital Malaysia’s hire-purchase plans give
hirers the option of making fixed payments for the
use of a vehicle over a set number of years. Our
plans are offered at competitive rates for Toyota,
Lexus and Perodua customers.
Toyota FlexiPlan
This is a first in Malaysia for Toyota Capital. Toyota
FlexiPlan, a variable rate auto-financing pegged
against Base Lending Rate(BLR) was launched in
December 2005.
Toyota FlexiPlan allows hirers to have the flexibility in
controlling its monthly prepayments to reduce the
principal loan amount at any time. This enables
interest savings as interest is computed on a monthly
rest based on the Reducing Balance method.
Customers also enjoy the flexibility of adjusting their
monthly payment or tenure when the BLR changes,
not to mention the option to switch from variable
rate to fixed rate at any time at no additional cost.

Toyota 2-Tier Plan
Toyota Capital Malaysia believes in constant
innovation in developing unique products to cater
to the needs of customers. We believe that product
creativity and customer-centricity is critical towards
finding new avenues to support auto sales.
Launched in October 2009, Toyota 2-Tier Plan is a
first-of-its-kind program designed with affordability
and lower loan repayment to cater for entry level
young executives to start on a Toyota car ownership
program.
This hire purchase plan offers a great option for
customers who prefer affordable monthly repayments
so they can begin owning a Toyota immediately.
AL-IJARAH THUMMA
AL-BAY (AITAB)
This Islamic automotive financing product was
conceptualised in consultation with our Shariah
Advisor to provide a ‘riba’-free plan in compliance
with Shariah principles. Launched in June 2005,
AITAB has been well received by our Muslim car
owners and is in line with our philosophy of offering
relevant products to meet customer needs.

Toyota Drive
With the launch in August 2007, Toyota Drive is the
first Islamic lease product in Malaysia.
It is an innovative consumer lease option that has
been implemented with great success in Australia,
USA and Canada and now Malaysians can enjoy it
as well through Toyota Capital.
This unique program gives unprecedented benefits
to Toyota customers, such as zero down payment,
guaranteed Lease End Value (LEV), with the
freedom of ownership at the end of the lease either
to purchase at the predetermined LEV or renew the
lease to drive a new Toyota every 3 to 5 years, the
Guaranteed Auto Protection (GAP) in the event of
total loss due to theft or accident, lower monthly
rentals and our renewal services of Takaful/
insurance policy and road tax. Toyota Drive by all
accounts gives a superior alternative to conventional
hire-purchase plans and represents another
milestone in product innovation for the sake of
customer satisfaction and convenience.
Lexus Access
Launched in June 2010, Lexus Access program is a
joint collaboration effort of Toyota Capital Malaysia
with Lexus Malaysia to support Lexus sales and
promote an early start to luxury car ownership
effortlessly through a consumer lease.
Lexus Access offers the same attractive benefits as
Toyota Drive to Lexus customers, including zero down
payment, guaranteed LEV, GAP and other benefits,
giving our customers another easy alternative to
choose Lexus.
Lexus Access therefore stamps Toyota Capital
Malaysia’s commitment to offer an easy and
convenient alternative to our customers to drive
away a Lexus.
Both our Lexus Access and Toyota Drive programs
have been developed in consultation with our
Shariah Advisor to ensure financing options are in
line with Islamic principles and practices.

Hino and Daihatsu dealerships to build work
relationships with their sales teams and providing
the auto financing support to the businesses.
Operating Lease
Fleet Management
Through a joint collaboration with Toyota, we offer
our clients - small businesses or large corporations effective vehicle financing and fleet management
solutions customized to suit their needs. Not only will
our Fleet plan finance the cost of the vehicles, it also
covers their everyday running and maintenance
costs. Furthermore, it comes with a host of services,
including periodic and preventive maintenance,
insurance management, vehicle acquisition and
disposal, as well as fleet management reporting.
Our clients can acquire a fleet of Toyota vehicles by
merely paying a long-term and fixed price rental. No
capital outlay is required thus enabling their business
to run smoothly without having to incur large costs
at regular intervals and freeing up their finances
for other business purposes. Fleet leasing is also
transacted off their company's Balance Sheet. The
leasing arrangement can also be customised to
meet customer needs and requirements.
Offering a full suite of financing options, our Fleet
Management is a hassle-free approach which
helps our clients reduce the lifetime running costs of
a fleet, improve cash flow planning and eliminate
administrative tasks.
Our dedicated Fleet Management team also works
closely with the Toyota Fleet team and Toyota
dealers to extend comprehensive fleet management
and vehicle maintenance program so customer
satisfaction is always ensured.
Industrial Hire Purchase
Toyota Capital Malaysia offers attractive industrial
hire purchase plans for business owners who are
interested to purchase commercial vehicles such as

Wholesale Financing
Our wholesale financing programs help facilitate
Toyota dealers’ requirements in terms of cash-flows,
inventory and credit lines to ensure they can always
maintain customer satisfaction.
We offer wholesale financing to our Toyota dealers
as we understand their needs for sufficient working
capital to finance their inventory purchases,
especially during high demand periods. Our facility
helps ease their cash flow as we provide financing in
the form of a credit line that gives dealers access to
funds to keep inventory at a level ready to meet their
customers’ needs.
Our Total Assets And Product Mix
Toyota Capital Malaysia is committed towards achieving
high-quality performance and growth. We attained remarkable
and steady growth over the years achieving a high of RM3.5
billions in total assets as of March 31, 2012. Our customer base has
also grown significantly over the years. It has now doubled since
2008 to more than 77,000 customers.

provide extra value-added services for our customers. These
services include motor insurance renewal from reputable
insurance companies throughout the country and road tax
renewal services.
