The Auckland Bridge Climb & Bungy was established in
2003 when AJ Hackett Bungy’s co-founder, Henry van
Asch, took ownership of the existing Auckland Bridge
Climb. He sought to add to the attraction by continuing
the Bungy legacy. True to the company’s innovative
history, a jump pod was suspended underneath the
Bridge, an engineering feat, and the World’s first Harbour
Bridge Bungy Jump was born. The Auckland Bridge Climb
also remains New Zealand’s only bridge climb, offering
exclusive walking access over the Auckland Harbour
Bridge - an Auckland icon.
As a Venue
Our Base, known as ‘The Bach’, is an inner-city haven
located on the waterfront at the Westhaven Marina. It’s
easy accessibility and amazing views over the harbour
create an inspiring, relaxed atmosphere - the ideal location
for any event.

Hang Out in the Jump Pod
The Auckland Bridge Climb experience is the ideal activity
for team building and conference groups. This fully guided
1.5 hour tour is a safe, fun and interactive way to experience
Auckland! Climbers are provided with climb suits, safety
harnesses and a full commentary by our experienced and
highly trained crew.
Climb times and packages can be tailored to meet your
needs. You could start the day with a Climb and be back in
the office by morning tea – what better way to rejuvenate
your team? Or… catch the last climb of the day and watch
the sun set over the Waitakere Ranges; then head back
to the BASE for some well-deserved cocktails and nibbles.
Experience the best of both worlds. Climb to the top of
the Auckland Harbour Bridge and then bungy jump off and
touch the ocean below! A healthy dose of adrenaline along
with some of the best views Auckland has to offer.

For a function with a twist, host an event out in the jump
pod - suspended below the centre arch of the bridge. The
pod is a stunning 10 minute walk from BASE and your
group can gather both in the pod and down on the viewing
platform. The pod is an intimate venue for small groups the perfect place to hold a little team competition or play
‘Toss the Boss.’

The Kawarau Bungy Centre is the most unique, fun and
interactive events venue in the area. Newly refurbished it
can host up to 800 people. The Centre can be transformed
into the perfect setting for any event. Whether it’s a product
launch, a cocktail party or a formal dinner, the Centre is sure
to meet your expectations.
We are happy to assist/manage setup of music,

Looking for a little adventure? Bring your group to bungy
jump by day or night. The 43m Kawarau Bridge Bungy
Jump is the World’s first and most famous of jumps,
attracting thousands of thrill-seekers every year. Attached
by your ankles, you can choose to bob above the water,
touch it or be fully dunked. Group rates and private night
jumping available.
Not keen on bungy jumping yourself, but fascinated by
this phenomenon? Visit the Kawarau Bridge and enjoy a
private bungy tour, hosted by your own crew member. On
this educational tour you’ll hear about the history of bungy,
it’s origins, how the cords are made, and watch the Bungy
Movie. After your tour have lunch on the viewing deck as
you watch others take on the challenge. Lunch boxes or
catered lunch options available.
Enjoy a cocktail upon arrival, followed by display Bungy
Jumps performed by our talented crew (optional).
Additionally we can arrange a Kiwi Haka performance to
welcome your guests on site. The Centre then features a
16 screen TV Wall which can be used for speeches and
award presentations, as well as a stage for DJs and bands.
The Kawarau Bungy Centre has been expertly designed
with an open space floor plan that transforms by night into
a dining area or dance floor. We have relationships with
several talented performers in the area and can happily
make recommendations. We also work with local catering
companies to provide top quality cuisine.

complex for panoramic views of Lake Wakatipu. Once at
the top, Bungy and Swing out over town.

group to a Bungy competition – who’s got the best style?
Try the Matrix, Flying Squirrel, Front Flips and Gainers. Such
an event is sure to generate laughter and create stories for
the years to come.
Just like your backyard swing... yeah right! The Ledge
Swing, also referred to as our ‘rough as guts’ rope swing,
is guaranteed to ‘challenge’ the bravery of any individual.
As you hang in suspense you just have to pull the pin
before you swing down along the rock face and out over
Lake Wakatipu.
The Ledge Bungy or Swing is the perfect pit-stop on your
group’s Amazing Race through town. Send them up the
gondola or running up the Skyline Track. Once at the site
you can challenge one or more of the team to a Bungy or
Swing, guaranteed to get their hearts pumping.
Prefer to dine in a warm, indoor environment? Well…
gather for team bungy jumping and swinging at the
Ledge (along with pre-dinner drinks of course) to work
up an appetite, then head up the pathway to the Skyline
Restaurant for a buffet dinner to follow - the perfect blend
of adventure and luxury.

kicks off with a rugged 35 minute 4WD trip through private
back country. Once you arrive you’ll be ready to take on
the Bungy & Swing! Those who prefer to keep their feet
on solid ground can gather in our BASE area, which offers

Guests who are brave enough will be harnessed up and
shuttled out to the Bungy Pod in a cable car, six people
at a time (the pod can hold 20 guests). Here, fears will be
faced in one of life’s greatest personal challenges. Jumpers
will bask in the glory of their achievement and onlookers will
delight in being a part of the emotional journey that is Bungy!
After drinks and nibbles in the BASE building your group
can head out to the Swing Pod and partake in an array
of Swing styles from the Swing Menu. Options range from
extreme to extremely funny, all guaranteed to thrill. Swing
alone or with a friend. Try a Nevis Swing style lucky dip...
you never know how you’re gonna go!
Queenstown’s Ultimate Adrenalin Challenge! A very
popular choice at the Nevis. Why not challenge yourself,
not once, but twice with both the Bungy & the Swing! Two
very unique, unforgettable experiences.
The Nevis Bungy & Swing are great activities to work into
group challenges such as Amazing Race style events,
Adventure Race challenges or Treasure Hunts. We have a
large playground to work with so can cater to groups big
and small, and will work with you to organise an event that
