Available Settings
Full Profile:
1. Assuming your SocialSite Profile Page has been set up, select the "choose/configure tool" option from the
tool palette and choose the SocialSite Elements tool set from the drop down menu.
2. Select the UGC component labeled "Full Profile" from the drop down menu. If you wish to customize, you can create a
custom class to stylize the Profile page by assigning a custom class to the Profile Header, Recent Comments, Forums,
Friends Area, and Inbox. Optionally, you can leave these sections blank.
3. When finished, click the 'Update Module Settings' to assign the tool.
4. The Full Profile tool is the core tool to allow visitors of your site to post their avatars, show their recent activity,
and create blogs. Visitors can also search, add, and find new friends on your site's SocialSite Network. They can also edit
their profiles here if they need to update an address, phone number, or email address. SocialSite does not require
additional sign up. If your visitor is already a part of your site's listener club, your visitor can easlily attach their profile
to Social Site.
Single Photo Gallery:
1. Click on the tool icon in the div you want to drop.
2. Select "SocialSite Elements" from the drop down menu from the "Choose/configure tool" option of the tool palette.
3. Choose the "Single Photo Gallery" option next to the line that reads "Select UGC component."
4. Choose your desired display (Thumbnail Group or Animated Thumb Gallery)
- Thumbnail Group: You can set the User Generated Photo Gallery to display a specified number of columns and rows.
You can set the width of the thumbnails so that all thumbnails have a uniform size.
- Animated Thumb Gallery: Displays the photos on a single row that moves left or right based on the visitors' mouse
movements over the left and right arrows at the end of the thumbnail row. These types of galleries can fit into any
space because you can set the width when using this feature. Users can add a photo and have it display in this gallery.
Article Discovery Feeds:
1. Designed to add dynamic content to your site, this tool allows you to display the "Most Recommended" or
"Most Emailed" stories. As with all Platformic tools, you have different display styles to choose from as well as the ability
to assign custom classes to those display styles. You can set the number of articles to display as well as the landing section.
2. To assign this tool, click on the tool icon in the div you want to place the tool in and select the "choose/configure tool"
option.

Most Emailed and Most Recommended Feeds
After the visitor toolbar has been in place and site visitors have begun to email and recommend stories, these
stories can be collected and displayed as special feeds using the same "SocialSite Elements" tool used
to place Public Photo Galleries. The articles are displayed as headlines with or without summaries or
thumbnails.
User Profiles and Avatars
Site visitors can now personalize their profiles and upload custom avatars that can be displayed next to
their comments and posts in message boards.
Page | 11
Avatars are uploaded through the use of profiles which are placed on the site using the same "^ŽĐŝĂů^ŝƚĞ
Elements" tool. The profiles are integrated with registered user accounts. The same log in tools
that collect visitor data and restrict forum/comment posting are used for creating the profiles.

2. Click on Choose/Configure Tool on the control panel and the Tool
icon for the div.
3. Select “SocialSite Elements” from the Assign Module panel and “Full Profile” from the UGC
Component drop down.
Registered users will now be able to see all of their activity on the site as well as search for and view the
activity of friends and other users. Users can also upload personal photo galleries in their profiles.

of the respective users.
The User Experience
Uploading Photos
Public Photo Galleries allow site visitors to upload their photos to the site. The photos can be posted
immediately or hidden until approved by an administrator. This is the part of the site that can be
accessed by registered users who are logged in and who do not have admin access.
