The Artists’ Open Studios (Individual and Group sites) ...is a free,
self-guided art adventure in the “Quiet Corner” - and is a wonderful opportunity to
meet Northeastern Connecticut’s painters, sculptors, fiber artists, photographers,
metal-smiths, woodworkers, potters, glass artists, jewelers, and other fine artists.
While many folks experience fine art by visiting galleries and museums, people
rarely have a chance to meet the artists and to be in the welcoming spaces where
they nourish their creativity and produce their art. The Artists’ Open Studio tour
gives artists the opportunity to connect with you and to share their passion and
expertise - a sure cure for some of the isolation artists often feel while working in
their studios.
Please do note that not all participating artists are showing in their studios. There
are a growing number of group shows providing visitors the opportunity to view a
variety of works in one venue.
We are also proud to have sponsors who are displayed both on our website and our
brochure. So, when you plan your trip across Northeastern CT, consider adding in a
meal or two at some of our sponsoring restaurants. And please be sure to let them
know you are on the tour.
