Welcome past, present and new WW-PCE program families! This camp
season is all about you, your needs and interests. New and exciting options
for ages 4-14. Your child will explore, find talents, try things and make
lasting positive memories! Our dedicated staff are looking forward to kicking off the 2015 Summer Season!

What is the payment policy?
Tuition must be paid in full at time of registration.
There is a $10 non-refundable registration fee for each camp.
If you register your child for a program, but choose not to send them, you
are responsible for payment, unless a withdrawal form has been received.
Is there Pre and Post Camp Care?
Pre & Post Camp Care will be held each day for participants at the

What is the withdrawal and refund policy?
Withdrawals for a refund will be accepted within one week prior to the start
of the program. A withdrawal form is available for download at www.wwp.org, under Community Education, Summer 2015. A withdrawal will only
be processed once the form has been received by the Community Education
office. Phone withdrawals will not be accepted.

$45 per week, per camper
Post Camp Care
4:00-6:00pm, Monday-Friday
$55 per week, per camper
*Pre & Post Camp Care will be prorated July 4th week.
Because programs are vendor based, withdrawals requested with less than
one week notice will not be refunded.
Late Pick-Up Policy
Program Cancellations
At times, programs cancel due to low enrollment. If your child’s program
gets cancelled, your payment will be credited to another camp selection or
refunded.
It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to ensure that
children are picked up on time. If a child is picked up late there will
be a fee of $15 for the first 10 minutes of lateness and $1 per
minute thereafter.

Game Labs
If you’re fascinated by the weird but true, wild and
wacky, gross and yucky, then this is the camp for you!
Spend a week discovering the zany biology of our animal
friends. Each day we’ll explore fascinating facts about the
animal kingdom, focusing on a creature of the day. Build
a different animal model each day and fill your very own
“Animal Grossology” booklet with crazy and cool facts
you learn, complete with a picture of each model, to
become a certified Bricks 4 Kidz® Grossologist.

Do you have what it takes to engineer a city from the
ground up? Students will work together as a construction
crew to design and build magnificent cities from nothing
but a little engineering and their own imagination. Crews
design essential urban structures and solve real-world
challenges, such as developing a processes to purify
water and generate electricity. Sign up to help your crew
build the best city in town!

Space is limited in this one of a kind video game class.
Using a new technology invented by Black Rocket, this
class combines all the digital mediums into one super
class. We blend the best principles of video game design,
animation, and film making to create a truly unique
experience! You will learn how to animate yourself and
your friends and put yourselves directly into a video
game that you created. That's right - YOU are inside of
the videogame! Games will be available on a password

CSI: Radical Reactions & Detective Science!
In this weeklong program, campers will have tons of fun
mixing up potions and experimenting with all kinds of
chemical reactions! Our young chemists will grow crystals, create sidewalk chalk, and even make chromatography T-Shirts to take home. Students will also become
science sleuths as they investigate how chemistry provides evidence at the scene of a crime. During this handson detective work, children will gather & test “crime
scene” clues, make & analyze their own fingerprints,
make Rainbow Stompers & much more! This Camp is

Arg Matey! Come join Kelvin’s crew as we sail the ocean

Green Ghost and set sail with us as we explore the Engineering For Pirates!

Engineering of Cities! In this camp, students work hard to
apply their knowledge of construction to save the beach

an Engineering for Kids engineer!

Heroes Week
It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s…Heroes Week! Students will
join other engineers their age as they seek ways to protect the world and save mankind in the process. They will
join a league of heroes and will compete against other
leagues by performing engineering-related challenges,
such as saving an ecosystem from a potentially lethal oil
spill. Only one group will end the week as the ultimate
league of super heroes!

How Amusing
Avast, me maties! Jump on board and join the crew to
work together to explore the every-day engineering
challenges that pirates were once faced with. During this
week, students will explore the ideas of buoyancy and
surface area as they design their pirate ships, the sails for
their ships, and a system to retrieve sunken treasures! So
what do you say; Are ye’ ready to sail the seas?

Ah, the thrill of an amusement park…zipping around on
racecars, zooming through the loops of a rollercoaster,
trying your luck at a floating boat game, and enjoying a
cold, refreshing ice cream treat at the end of a hot,
sticky day. Can’t get better than that! During this camp,
students will divide into competitive theme park teams.
They will challenge other teams in specific engineeringrelated contests with the goal of creating the most fantastic and thrilling theme park experience. At the end of
the week, only one team will emerge as the winner and
will be granted the prestigious honor of creating the
world’s next great amusement park for children ages 099 to enjoy for summers to come!

Green Screen Masters
What does Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, Lord of The
Rings, and The Avengers have in common? They were all
made using green screens! All of your favorite movies use
special effects to make the imaginary worlds come alive.
Students will create short scenes with special effects and
green screens to make a movie reel. Projects which will
be hosted on a password protected website to share with
friends and family.

Form a team to face the challenge of our extreme expedition camp. Search the globe for bricks and other resources needed to construct a base in the Himalayan

This camp is a perfect mixture of fun and learning, using
LEGO® WeDo™ Robots. Using LEGO® bricks, students
build a goal kicker, a goal keeper, and cheerful fans. They
also learn how to program and operate their creations
using a laptop computer.

Calling all boys and girls who want to be the designers of
the future! In this class if you can dream it you can make
it - create your first action figure, design custom jewelry,
or make a new toy! Using a professional-level modeling
software, kids will sculpt, texture, and render their own 3
-D creation. No prior experience is necessary and 3D
designs will be available on a password protected website to share with friends and family. 3D prints are not
included, but can be purchased separately through a 3rd
party company. Students will work in teams for most of
the program.

Our Spy Academy will help you sharpen your special
operative skills as you learn about the Secret World of
Espionage! The key to being a great spy is your ability to
use science to “sniff” out your suspects and uncover their
secrets. We will utilize spy gear such as metal detectors,
spy ears, and motion sensors to hone our skills. Unlock
your spy skill as we tackle the toughest security breaches.
We will “pick open” locks, sneak past a whisper-meter,
and create our own security system. Teams will attempt
to crack through each other’s security systems and track
a treasure. This Mad Science Spy Academy Camp is 00–
AWESOME!

Lego Films & Stop Animation
Make your LEGOs come to life! Bring in your favorite
action figures or LEGOs and create a short film with your
friends. Whether you want to recreate a scene from Star
Wars or design a world of your own, this class brings your
dreams to the screen. Students will need to bring in
LEGOs or action figures from home, but all other equipment will be provided. Student created films will be
available on a password protected website to share with
friends and family. Students will work in pairs or teams
for most of the program.

Lego Masters
Become a virtual master builder in this unique Lego
themed class. Students will create their own LEGO universe, characters, and adventures in an interactive 2-D
Video Game. At the end of the program every student
will have a finished LEGO Video Game that they built
which can be shared with friends and family through a
password protected Black Rocket website. Games are
only compatible on PC computers; Mac versions can be
created after the program for a $15.00 conversion fee.
Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the
program.

Lego YOUniverse
In this LEGO adventure YOU are the star! Pick your favorite LEGO genre or create an alternate universe to create a
digital illustrated story. Whether you want to fight alongside Batman, be part of a Ninjago clan, hang with Ninja
Turtles, or go into space with Bionicle the only requirement is that you put yourself in the story! All students
will end the class with a digital comic book that can be
shared with friends and family on a password protected
website! Students will work in teams for most of the
program.

Minecraft Builders
An introductory Minecraft class to learn the secrets of
the most popular video game of all time! Students will
learn the basics of redstone, modding, and 3D modeling.
Even if you have been playing Minecraft for years you will
learn something new in this class! Student projects will
be available on a Black Rocket website to share with
friends and family. To access their project at home,
students must own a PC/MAC version of Minecraft.
Tablet, phone, and game console version of Minecraft
are not compatible. Students will work in teams for most
of the program

Ninja Spinning Camp
Lego Ninjago® fans will spin with excitement in this
action-packed camp! Come build motorized models
including spinners using the Bricks 4 Kidz® model kits.
Compete in a Spinjitzu Tournament, where Ninjas spin
into tornadoes to defeat their enemies. Enter the Spinjitzu Zone and show off your building skills. Imagination
and creativity will abound as campers build cool models,
battle with their mini-figures, customized battle arenas,
tools, vehicles and more!

Red Hot Robots!
Spend this Summer playing with our super cool Red-Hot
Robots! Discover the world of robots as we investigate
the differences between humans and their robotic counterparts - Campers will learn how robots use infrared and
other sensors to discover their environment. Invent your
own robot designs using recycled materials. Finally - We
use your hands-on skills to build your very own working
Robot to Take Home to “LIVE” with You!

Remote Control Mania
Mad Machines & Junior Engineers!
Whether your child loves to build things or destroy them,
this week of camp includes lots of both! The junior Mad
Science engineers will design and build Bridges and
“Skyscrapers” and even construct a Geodesic Dome big
enough for all the campers to sit inside! Then the machine madness starts… This journey will include many
different machines, simple & complex, we use in our daily
lives. Campers will have fun building their very own
Catapults, Sonic Race Car and much more to take home
from this Awesome Camp! This Camp is a Sonic Blast!

Making it move is the name of the game at this exciting
camp! Kids will love to see their creations in motion using
Lego® Education wireless remote controls. Each day,
campers will use fascinating and challenging Lego® components to create dynamic vehicles, inventions, machines
and more. As they enjoy the fun of building, campers will
understand the basic working principles of many ingenious devices that are part of our everyday lives. Campers
will also learn how to magnify, diminish and redirect
force to move objects at different speeds and in different
directions. The camp is loads of fun and learning for
budding builders.

Survivor
Engineer’s Cove! Students in this five-day camp will find
themselves stranded on an abandoned island filled with
perilous obstacles – dark caves, wild animals, cold temperatures, little food, and separation from the comforts
of home . They will work collaboratively with their tribe
members to compete against other tribes in specific
engineering-related projects aimed at trying to survive
the harsh island conditions and escape to their freedom.

Video Game Animation
Take your game design to the next level by creating and
animating your own character sprites, objects, and backgrounds. Start with a name, develop the character’s
personality, signature moves, special powers, and a story
line. Finish with a fully animated character to be used in
future games. Students do not need any prior experience
in game design, animation, or sketching. Student-created
animations will be available on a password protected
Black Rocket website to share with friends and family.

Color Your Summer!
If your young child is always drawing and coloring, consider this fun, art program to enrich their summer! The

Even More Magnificent Masters
ALL PASTELS
This Young Rembrandts’ Pastel Art workshop will focus on
five different artists. Each day, we will create a large,
original pastel drawing replicating a famous artist’s masterpiece. We will draw a colorful goldfish bowl as Henri
Matisse did in his Goldfish painting. On Day 2, we will
recreate Vincent Van Gogh’s famous Starry Night complete with swirls throughout the sky. On Day 3, we will
create powerful still life full of robust color as Paul
Cezanne did often in his paintings. Day 4 will find us
drawing Andre Derain’s Portrait of Matisse. On the final
day, we will draw as Thiebaud did for his Cake Paintings.
Each day will challenge us with the pastel media. But in
the end we will be Masters ourselves. You will want the
drawings framed! No experience necessary. Please wear

Let’s Make a Scene
We will explore the ins and outs of how to create a
performing art piece. Based heavily on our participants,
we will create a scene with different art disciplines
(dance, improv, physical theatre, acting) and technical

and learn about what it takes to put up a theatre production.

Definitely Not Disney: Sleeping Beauty
The classic story of Sleeping Beauty has: a royal family, 13
fairies, numerous princes, ladies in waiting, maids, stewards, cooks, footmen, horses, dogs, and many other
animals in the kingdom (providing lots of great characters
to act out)! We will compare and contrast different
versions of the tale and act out the version the class
develops as an ensemble. A SHARING of our story will

TeenzArt: Painting!
Join us for a week of painting! Learn different painting
techniques and color mixing. Acrylic, tempera and watercolor paints will all be used. Students will paint on paper,

used throughout the week to give you exposure to many
different compositions. Possible subject matter include
landscapes, still-lifes, famous monuments, nature scenes
and more as you complete your own personal painting

Wreck it Week
Smash! Crash! BOOM! Students in this camp will
join Wrecking Companies for the week and will
attempt to work their way up the ranks of their

mechanisms to protect a raw egg from impact.

Where every day is an adventure!
Last year, Adventures Day Camp took the ordinary, traditional
camp day and supercharged it… packing it with amazing events
and incredible experiences for campers to enjoy! This year we
brought back the same amazing camp, adding more great trips
and on-site presentations!
Adventures Day Camp focuses on developing the whole child
through continuous learning opportunities, hands-on experiences,
and creative expression. Your child will take part in enriching
activities that include scientific investigations, culinary creations,
creative arts, sports and fitness, as well as our specialized,
one-of-a-kind animal interactions! Campers will learn, observe,
interact, touch, and hold various types of animals such as ducklings, chicks, bunnies, turtles, frogs, tadpoles, goats, and fish.
Campers swim 3 days a week at the indoor pool located across
the street at High School North. There will be one day of swim
instruction and two days of free swim. Swimming, field trips, and
on-site visitors are all included in the weekly fee. Your child will
develop lasting memories with other campers and caring,
experienced staff.
