Welcome On behalf of the Oshawa Girls Hockey Association executive and our Tournament committee, I would like to welcome you to our community and wish everyone the best of luck in our 13th Annual Fall Classic Hockey tournament. I would like to say “Thanks!” to the families and friends who come out to support the players. I would also like to thank our local businesses and vendors that offer their support to Oshawa Girls Hockey. If you are able to visit these sponsors during your stay, our Hockey community would very much appreciate it. During this tournament, we all look forward to seeing a great display of skill, competition and teamwork in the true spirit of fun and good sportsmanship. This is a tremendous opportunity not only for the younger players to see what Hockey has to offer, but also for the older players to be role models and to demonstrate that Hockey really is the ultimate team sport! We have plenty to offer over our tournament weekend, including a special Friday Night team building event. In conjunction with the tournament, the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League will open the 2012-2013 season with their HOME OPENER on Friday, September 28th starting at 7:35 PM vs. the Peterborough Petes at the General Motors Centre. Check out our tournament maps for directions to these venues and don’t hesitate to ask any of our volunteers, for directions or advice on where to eat, get skates sharpened or where to go shopping, they will be happy to help. We wish everyone a safe and successful Tournament. Yours in Hockey, Melody Sutton, President Oshawa Girls Hockey Association 3 2.
