The Animas

The Evolution LT was a big hit for us last season and proved to be our biggest
selling medium priced reel. The price for one of
these gems starts at $275 for the size “0” reel
(suitable for 1 to 3 wt. lines) and a size “2” reel
(4 to 6 wt. lines) is priced at $315. Seems like a
lot of money, but compare the Evolution to any

CLA Strong and Dependable - “A Guides Favorite”
The CLA has set the standard for affordable large arbor fly reels. The CLA series

The series is fully machined out of a proprietary aluminum alloy, fully anodized for protection and built to take the type of abuse

The Liquid
Let’s face it, die cast reels are intended to be low cost alternatives to a machined reel, right? Imported, heavier,

easier to damage, plain Jane, etc. Well . . . not necessarily.
When we started creating Liquid we focused purely on
the virtues and advantages a pressure-cast process can
offer. Structurally you can do things with casting that you
can’t machine, such as full radiused compound curves,
near zero-radius inside corners, and for precise fit and finish you can go back and machine the cast part in critical areas amplifying the best
aspects of the process. We pushed back on other boundaries as well. How much
of a reel at this price can we make here in the U.S.? Quite a lot! These high quality castings are imported, but the components critical to the drag system are CNCmachined here in the U.S. Liquid reels are assembled in Boise alongside our
highest priced reels. No other $100 reel can boast this much U.S. content and quality oversight. Nudging out a worthy old war horse like Konic wasn’t easy. Enjoy

Last spring our head guide, Nate Hill was shopping for a new rod. Our spring
orders had arrived and we had a selection of some of the finest 5 weight rods
in the world in stock. Nate and I strung up several rods and went out front to
cast; all of the rods were 5 weights and we were using an AirFlo 5 weight
RidgeLine. The price points on these rods ranged from $225 up to $775. The
rod that Nate selected was not the BVK, however, it was a very close second.
Both Nate and I agreed that BVK outperformed all of the rods, but one and
