Second will be create Linda’s rolls she served at one of our mtgs. It’s a cross between a sconce and a roll, with lots of herbs. They were a hit! For the leaf project, We have to make some adjustments. If you by chance still have a leaf you planned on using then, if it’s still pliable and won’t break down, you may use that. Otherwise Linda will have some available for your use that day. Linda will bring the supplies needed for us. No need for brushes this time! A favorite Halloween design by Sonja, with lots of details. Could be done with just the pumpkin, frog and part moon. Or as above. Surface will be of your choice and done in acrylic colors After you sign up, you will receive your line drawing pattern and prep instructions. In order to paint both of these in one day you will need to prep the surfaces before class. Non members may join us to paint this day with a fee of $ 25 for one or for both classes $ 40. The families that receive them really appreciate them. Painting World Magazine There has been talk on the internet about a new painting magazine coming out later this spring.. An actual hard copy with promises of a lineup of designers & their great designs. Many names you know more info check out Paintworldmag.com. Heard that the daughter from Cupboard Dist. will be the editor… so hopefully we’ll again see some nice projects. Mixer 2017. We decided as the board, to be the host of the next Michigan Mixer! We have picked out a theme and have some ideas for favors, centerpieces, raffle prizes etc. We will need everyone to help paint as we hope to have 80 or so come. I know, we are asking our members to paint for another event.. We can do this! We have some fun ideas for paint days to help get things painted and enjoy each other. We love to paint! This way we can paint & not have it at our homes where we may not want more things. Also a good way to finish those UFO’s.. We plan to have a walk thru our area to start making plans after the March Mtg. Motions recently passed by VT Board of Directors .. 2016 Michigan Mixer 2017: (a) Motion made, seconded and passed to offer red-white-blue sewn tissue covers for table favors (sewn by Rosalie Fraley), as our theme is “Patriotic Painters”. (b) Board voted to offer red-white-blue quilt (sewn by Sally Mainville) as special raffle at Mixer.
