All of them are very important people from our country. Get inside Now, I invite you to follow me and start the tour. Now, I invite you to learn more about these three outstanding Colombians. He was born in Ginebra, Valle del Cauca, on April 14th in 1977. He was one of the best goalkeepers in the Colombian soccer team. Calero obtained two championships while playing for his country. In 1999, he moved to Mexico and played with the Pachuca National Club, and he triumphed in 10 tournaments with this Mexican team. On November 26th in 2012, he suffered a cerebral thrombosis at his home in Pachuca. Six days later, he suffered a second stroke. Some hours later, the doctors diagnosed “brain death”. She was an actress and a businesswoman. She helped to create the TEC (Teatro Experimental de Cali). Later, she moved to Bogotá, where she was the Bogota’s Theater manager and one of its actresses. Besides, she adopted her son Daniel Martinez Mikey and, in 1970 she obtained the Colombian nationality. In 1988, she decided to start an important project: the “Ibero-American Theater Festival” to celebrate the 450th anniversary of this city. She died in 2008 in Cali. She was one of the most important theater sponsors in Colombia. (Teatro Nacional) Policarpa was born around 1790. Her father called her “La Pola”. When Policarpa’s relatives died, she moved to Tunja and worked in a farm with two of her siblings, Catarina and Bibiano. In 1817, La Pola participated in political issues. She worked as a dressmaker at the royal wives’ houses and recruited people for revolutionary causes undercover in insurgency. Sergeant Iglesias arrested her and six other people for treason and insurgency. Policarpa Salavarrieta died on November 14th, 1817. She was approximately 22 years old.
