FAST LOAD SYSTEM
“The Model 1887 is a perfect
choice for traditional hunting,
with a 5 round magazine + 1 in the
chamber. The optional “Fast Load
System” was designed for Cowboy
Action Shooting competition, by
Cowboy Action Shooters! Tested
and proven in CAS competitions,
we have improved on a simple
modification to allow, even the
novice shooter to use our “fast load
10
system” as a double load system.
You will be surprised at the speed
and ease of loading two cartridges
simultaneously. We designed
the receiver for modern 23/4”
ammunition that insures positive
ejection of spent cartridges. With
the “Cowboy Hunter” model it
is possible, in just a few seconds,
to transform your 1887 standard
model to a “Fast Load System”
shotgun and back again.
The Chiappa Firearms Model 1887
utilizes the design of the original
1887 solid lever that includes an
innovative internal safety design
that minimizes the possibility of
accidental shooting while the breech
block is open, not allowing the firing
pin to strike the primer until the
breech block is completely closed.”
1887 Lever Action Shotgun
The Lever Action
Model is supplied with
interchangeable chokes in
three different sizes.
lever action
Designed by John Browning
for the Winchester Repeating
Arms Company, the model
1887 lever action shotgun
was considered to be the first
successful repeating shotgun.
Patterned after their highly acclaimed
lever action rifle, the 1887 Winchester
Shotgun was Winchester’s first entry into
a tremendous lineup of shotgun models.
The Model 1887 is a must for the discerning collector and Cowboy Action Shooter!
All models are available including a satin
chrome finish or engraved options.
The magazine capacity may be reduced
according to local laws.

The Model 1892, like the first lever-action guns, was originally chambered for
lower-pressure, smaller, handgun rounds.
The Model 1892, however, incorporates a much stronger action than the earlier lever-actions and
is strong enough to chamber high pressure handgun rounds, such as the .357 Magnum and the .44
Magnum. While earlier rifles and shotguns may have actually “Won the West,” the majority of lever
action rifles seen in classic Hollywood Westerns are Winchester ‘92 carbines and rifles. The popularity
and appeal of the Model 92 is quite easy to figure out. They’re great for the Cowboy Action competitor
or for the outdoorsman who needs something light, handy and powerful. This little rifle or carbine is
a perfect choice for the collector who wants to own one of
er screen, the
Model 92!
“All our 1892 Lever
Action models are
supplied with Standard
Lever, except the
Mare’s Leg model
which features a Rio
Bravo large lever. All lever
types are fully interchangeable, you can purchase a diff
ferent lever to give your gun a
completely different look and
feel!”
W
of Brisco County Jr., The
Magnificent Seven television series, “Boss”, what do they have in
common? The Mare’s Leg*, made famous by the bounty hunter Josh
Randall, the original gun was a modified 1892 rifle or carbine cut
down to pistol size.
USA RE GULATION:
In the past the only way to own one of these novelties was
to comply with the ATF regulations for a “short barrel rifle”
(SBR) Chiappa Firearms is proud to offer a “Pistol” version
of this famous firearm that requires no additional require
ments other than normal handgun ownership.

Chiappa Firearms: The only
production manufacturer of the
firearm originally produced by
Christopher Miner Spencer.
Spencer initially produced the 1860 Spencer
Carbine which was noted to be accurate and
fire rapidly and hold seven metallic cartridges
which weren’t affected by dampness and it
didn’t need caps to fire! This newly designed
rifle could be fired more rapidly than a
revolver and reloaded in a tenth of the time it
would take to reload a “Colt” style revolver.

sharpS collection - cartridge
The rifles of Christian Sharps
fought in the great battle and won.
The U.S. Government purchased 80,512 Carbines
and 9,141 Sharps Rifles. Many post-war models kept
Sharps in business through the buffalo hunting years
in the West. While the factory continued to produce
these fine, accurate long range, heavy bore rifles, the
Sharps name soon became a household word.
Chiappa Firearms proudly offers a complete range
of Sharps models, with a variety of barrel lengths,
calibers, and finishing details available (pewter tip,
patchbox, white finish and engraving, extra and
deluxe stock, etc.).
970.254 Standard Malcom Scope and Mounts
This 6x long tube-type scope is built with light gathering
full multi-coated lenses. For fog-free service it is built with a
nitrogen-filled ¾” diameter tube. This scope can be mounted
on rifles with barrel lengths from 28 to 34 inches using the
factory cut front and rear sight. It comes with fully adjustable
external mounts.

This Sharps carbine is a copy of the 1859 Percussion Sharps Military Carbine converted to centerfire. This firearm was then sold to

California Joe
California Joe was unquestionably the most famous among Berdan’s Sharpshooters. Nicknamed “California Joe”, Joe came
west from New York to seek his fortune after a failed romance. Joe was 52 years old at the time he enlisted, but stated his
age as 42, otherwise he would have been rejected.
Joe brought to the sharpshooters a background of
a hunter and gold miner which could have made
enough fodder for interesting news stories but Joe
was found to have a keen eye and a great marksman
without any embellishments by the press..

The “Hydra” system is a patented modification to the Sharps percussion system. The cartridge chamber is fixed, and the reduced thickness of the
cartridges allow them to adhere perfectly to the chamber, dramatically reducing gas
escape. Ignition hole is a tiny 1,2 mm diameter. The front plate of the locking block
closing on the back of the cartridge with a spring, and an insert made of beryllium
and copperr with a hole of 1.2 mm, instead of the open ignition
cone, allow for a 95% airtight system. Black powder rifles built
with this
h system perform like a breech loading cartridge rifle, and leave very little black
powder residue leaving minimal fouling around the piston. Furthermore the block can
bee oiled after up to 30 shots instead of the standard 4 to 5 shots.

1842 Rifled Musket .69 cal 910.005
During 1856-1859 about 14.000 of the smoothbores were rifled and approximately 10.000 of these were fitted with rear sights. Our model
features a machined 900 yard, long-range rear sight. This musket is the same as the 1842 smoothbore except the barrel has been rifled with 3
civil war muskets
lands & grooves. This musket features a one-piece walnut hand oil finished.
1842 U.S. Percussion Musket 900.000
Both the Harpers Ferry and Springfield Armories produced the Model 1842 U.S. Percussion Musket in great numbers from 1844 to 1855. This
reproduction is true to the original measurements, with a 42” barrel and a total length of 58 inches. The Model 1842 was notable in several
aspects, mainly that it was the .69 caliber musket. Additionally, it was the first weapon made at both the Harpers Ferry and Springfield Armory
with completely interchangeable parts. Harpers Ferry produced 103.000 while Springfield produced 172.000 for a total production surpassing
a quarter of a million arms. This reproduction is nicely marked. The lockplate is stamped with Federal eagle in front of the hammer and vertically marked “Spring-field” in two lines behind the hammer. The lock and tang are dated 1847. The barrel is stamped with the correct style V.P.
and eagle head proof marks are on the breech. The butt plate is marked U.S. The sling swivel is riveted as per the original. One piece walnut oil
finished stock. NSSA Approved.
1842 U.S. Short Rifle 910.040
The U.S. Model 1842 was the last smoothbore musket, while simultaneously being the first with fully interchangeable parts (machine-made) and the first
with an adjustable percussion lock. It was not made in great numbers. Total production of both the Springfield and Harpers Ferry Armories was only 272,565
over the course of 12 years. A few of these smoothbore muskets were converted to “Rifled Muskets” and a fewer were converted into the two band “Short
Rifled Musket”. Often mistaken for an “Artillery” model, the short 33 inch barrel was a favorite for close quarters and mounted units.

US Model 1855 Percussion Rifle 910.002
The Model 1855 was the first rifle musket to be produced in the United States. It was manufactured at both the Springfield and Harpers Ferry
Armories. It was also the first rifle to use the .58 caliber mini ball which revolutionized warfare by allowing ease of loading yet attaining deadly
accuracy. The lock of the model 1855 contained the Maynard tape primer system. This system eliminated the need of a percussion cap (although
normal percussion caps were fully compatible with the Maynard system) by using a roll of caps to ignite the gunpowder. These caps were remarkably
similar to a modern day roll caps for toy cap pistols. These weapons were primarily in the hands of the U.S. Regular army so very few state volunteers
managed to get their hands on them. Only about 7,000 of these weapons were made and they were soon replaced by the Model 1861 Springfield.
The model features a full one piece walnut hand oil finished stock. The lock features a non-functioning, Maynard Tape Primer, lid engraved with an
American Eagle. The lid will open and close.
Later models of the 1855 were manufactured with some changes from the earlier models, two leaf rear sight, iron forend cap and a patchbox on right
side of butt.
