As a comedian he’s performed on dozens of TV Education Session Perspective of the Local Fire Department Speaker: Steve Clarkson, President IFCA Fire Departments in early America were founded by insurance companies by Benjamin Franklin, who also was the founder of the Mutual Insurance Industry. The Departments participate in regular training to help bring their firefighters up to speed with the most current knowledge available. Finding agent appointments is the responsibility of the Manager, however the Board sets the benefits that the Agents receive. Knowing how to develop that agent relationship will be a valid portion of this program. In addition, Dave will review licensing and advertisting options as well as marketing representative suggestions to round out this course. Bryan is in his 5th year as the host of the “Build a Better You” radio program which airs on two of Dallas/Fort Worth’s premier radio stations. ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING This year we are combining the Industry Lunch with the Annual Business Meeting. In addition to board nominations, by-laws considerations if any, financial reports and committee and Chairman-Elect reports, this year’s Annual Business Meeting, scheduled for Monday, August 18, 2014 at 12 Noon will also include the Award ceremony for Company Achievement, Volunteer of the Year and Fire Dept of the Year Awards. LANCASTER Road. 8201 West LANCASTER Road is on the right. —continued on next page Trap Shoot Join in the fun on Sunday, August 17, at the annual IAMIC Trap Shoot at Darnall’s Gun Works and Ranges in Bloomington. We will hold a 50-bird derby for this event, which will being at 9:00 a.m. with practice rounds and registration. (Be sure to bring your lawn chairs!) Shoot will begin at 10:00 a.m. sharp. All skill levels are welcome to shoot and ammunition and guns will be available at nominal charge (please indicate below if you will need either ammunition and/or a gun). All shooters will compete on an individual basis for prizes and awards. Entry fees for this event are $35 per person, which includes two rounds of 25 birds, lunch, and prizes. Lingo: 50-Bird Derby: This style of Trap Shoot has groups of five shooters shooting at 25 birds from the sixteen-yard line. For the second round, shooters will be competing from various distances, which will be determined by the number of targets hit on the first round (Example: If a shooter hits 24 of 25 birds on first round, they will compete from the 24 yard line during the second round.)
