H-BEAM
THE CORE SYSTEM
H-Beam, an engineered timber
component is the core of the system.
Manufactured under stringent quality
measures, the wooden flanges are made
of chemically treated, seasoned timber.
Using a unique finger jointing method,
the webs are manufactured by joining
these flanges with boiling water-proof
plywood.

H-beams consume less timber, as low as
40% of the required timber volume.
Hence, they are light, dimensionally
stable and retain their structural
properties over a period of time, even
after continual usage. They are more
predictable, easy to design and use.
H-beams can be used and reused nearly
100 times, which is 8 times greater than
conventional timber.

L&T FLEX SYSTEM
FOR RC FLOORS
A suitable and more convenient type of
formwork for laying RC floors, the L&T
Flex System is made up of components that
give a firm support to floorings. It is suitable
for RC floors as high as 5.80 m and is very
well adapted for use with the Beam Forming
System.
LABOUR PRODUCTIVITY

l
1.5 manhours per sq.m for beam & slabs
l
(beams using conventional system)
1.0 manhours per sq.m for beam & slabs
l
(beams using beam forming support system)
H-beams positioned at designed intervals
provide additional support to the
plywood sheathing. These H-beams,
supported by telescopic props
mounted on tripods, ensure lateral
stability.
Use of Additional
Supporting for shutter
Props of various sizes – CT-250, CT - 300,
CT - 340, CT - 410 & EUREX 550 - can be
effortlessly mounted on the tripods, enabling
faster and easier erection of the shuttering
system. Height adjustments are done by
adjusting the prop nuts. Required dimension
is obtained through side-lapping of H-beams
in either the primary or secondary layer.

L&T FLEX
TABLE SYSTEM
Widely used in making large scale flat
slabs in construction majors like IT
parks, commercial complexes and
malls, L&T Flex Table System is handy
and easy to use. It is highly suited for
laying RC-floors up to 5.80m height.
Depending on grid sizes, standard
tables are made using suitable and
effective components: timber beam,
steel member, aluminum member,
collapsible props and plywood
sheathing. These primary and
secondary beam components are
connected firmly with table heads,
making the entire system rigid and
robust.
Horizontal shifting of the system is
done using hydraulically operated pallet
trucks, while vertical shifting is done
using cranes. This avoids dismantling
of individual components, hence
reducing labour and cycle time.

Beam Bottom: Rigid H-20 beams /
H-16 beams, positioned at designed
spacing, support the plywood sheathing
and form the secondary layer. These in
turn are supported, for extra-stability,
by a primary layer of H-beams.
Beam Sides: Like the Beam bottom,
the Beam sides are also made up of
plywood sheathing supported by
H-Beams at designed spacing, running
along the length of the RC-beam.
Supported by the BFS, the H-beams are
clamped onto the H-20 beams provided
for the Beam bottom. The beam forming
support ensures the right angle between
the beam bottom and sides.
BFS extensions available in three sizes 600mm, 800mm and 1100mm in length
- provide required adjustments in depth.

The entire panel, along with the
platform and alignment system can be
shifted using cranes as a single unit.
Panels are created in workshops at the
site and the assembly of components is
reduced, enhancing accuracy
throughout. Since the entire unit is
handled as a whole, loss of smaller
component is reduced, and contributes
to material productivity. In the absence
of a crane the panels can be dismantled
and handled manually.
The walers are available in sizes of
0.8m, 1.2m, 1.6m, 1.8m, 2m and 2.4m
for making panels and combination of
panels with splices and adjustments can
be made to arrive at the exact lengths of

L&T HEAVY DUTY
TOWER SYSTEM
L&T Heavy Duty Tower System is
widely used as staging for heavy floors
at higher altitudes, and also serves as
scaffolds on certain occasions. Heavy
duty frames are braced using standard
bracings, forming the heavy duty tower
system. Couplers and pins connect
frames together, ensuring verticality.
Spindles provided at the bottom can be
used to adjust height and level. At every
6m interval, the towers are braced with
permanent structures that prevent the
tower from twisting under abnormal
loading conditions.

Each heavy duty tower has an
unmatched capacity of 25 MT and is
ideal for handling heavy loads at
unusual heights. It also serves as Table
Formwork in multi-storied
constructions and can be handled as
single units up to a height of 10m.
The Heavy Duty Basic frames are
available in heights of 0.9m, 1.2 m or
1.8m. The Heavy Duty Towers are
available in two sizes namely
1525x1525 mm or 1525x2250 mm (in
plan).
Heavy duty towers can also be used as
scaffolding for application like external
finishing works, painting, cladding etc.

L&T CLIMBING
SYSTEM
L&T Climbing System is used for tall
structures like cooling towers, tankages,
core walls, where staging or scaffolding
along the interior or exterior walls
would prove uneconomical.
Salient Features
l
Eliminates
the need for scaffolding to
support the Wall Formwork
l
A three-level working platform for ease
of working
Convenient working space and elbow
l
room available in the climbing systems
Varying degrees of sophistication
l

Fool proof arrangement for anchoring and
l
safety lock system
In the Climbing System, brackets are
hooked to lost anchors, which are
already provided along the cast wall.
Entire shuttering is supported on the
climbing brackets. The brackets are
suitably braced to prevent any sway and
are provided with walkways, working
platforms and handrail for safety and
ease of operation.
Varying degrees of sophistication are
available in the climbing systems, a few
of which are listed below:
CB - 150 A: Simple climbing, crane
handled - platform width 1.50 m. The
brackets and wall formwork are to be
handled separately. Provision for
extension of bracket width is also
possible.
CB - 150 F: Travel climbing, crane
handled - platform width 1.50 m.
Roll back arrangement for de-shuttering
and cleaning of shutters. The wall
formwork and climbing bracket are
lifted as one unit. Provision for
extension of bracket width is
also possible.

WALING TO BRACKET
MF - 240: Travel climbing, crane handled platform width 2.40 m. These brackets can also
be fitted with automatic climbers like SKE-50
which is a hydraulic system (5 MT capacity).
Automatic Climbing Formwork: The wall
formwork along with the climbing brackets
slide along the wall using hydraulics, thus
eliminating the need for a crane. This system is
very often used for core walls in high rise
structures, cable stayed bridge pylons, natural
draught cooling towers, etc.,

L&T ACCESS
SCAFFOLD SYSTEM
L&T Access Scaffold System provides
a free and safe working environment,
increasing productivity. It contains
frames, 1.8m high, braced with
standard H225 & 2H225 bracings that
form the main structure. Suitable
couplers and pins connect individual
frames with each other, giving the
tower the desired height. The towers
are provided with tower spindles at the
bottom for fine adjustments in height
and leveling.
The towers provide a continuous
corridor for working with the bracings
serving as hand rails. There are no cross
members or diagonal bracings that
impede free passage or safe working.
This is an ideal system for scaffolding
for heights up to 40m. The width of the
working platform is 1m. The scaffold
has to be braced with the permanent
structure at every 4m in height.
