2013/14 Annual Report
Dear JCP Community & Friends,
Our community is active and involved, passionate and growing. We enjoyed another
year of tremendous momentum­— continuing to grow a connected, vibrant Jewish
life downtown.
Major areas of growth and investment during the last fiscal year were the Hebrew
School Project and the Center for Jewish Life. We are especially excited about the
community building among our school-age children, with an active Bar/Bat Mitzvah
program as well as three new youth groups, from Kindergarten through Middle School.
Jewish community and synagogue life has intensified, with the introduction of
Friday Evening Services, a fresh approach to Friday Night Lights, adult gatherings,
and meaningful life cycle moments, including many baby namings!
We also launched JCP Kehillah, as our families develop a congregational community
unique to the culture of JCP. Please learn more at www.jcpdowntown.org/Kehillah.
Education remained at the forefront. JCP’s Early Childhood Center and Hebrew
School Project continued to offer remarkable quality and joy in all aspects of learning,
while the number of children participating in our programs continued to grow.
Finally, inside you will find the lists of JCP supporters, committees and leaders.
Active involvement — varied, generous, and far-reaching — is one of the most inspiring
aspects of our community, and reflects why JCP and Jewish life downtown is thriving.
