Many volunteers from Maine Practical Shooters and Hampden Rifle & Pistol club have been preparing the Capital City Rifle & Pistol Club over the past several weeks, putting in long hours over many days, building and revamping the ranges. And with more help from clubs across the area, they have put together 10 exciting stages for this year's Area 7 Championship. We wish to extend to our heartfelt "THANKS" for their efforts, as without them, the volunteers, this match wouldn't be possible. We'd also like to thank our host club, Capital City Rifle and Pistol Club, and it's leaders and volunteers, for hosting this great event. And finally we'd like to thank our great sponsors from across the industry. Keep them in mind when making your purchases in the future. Please be sure to extend YOUR thanks to ALL of these folks. Key times for each day of the match: Registration: 7:30 am Shooters Meeting: 8:45 am First Shots: 9:00 am Lunch Break: 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm Regarding lunch, which is provided by the match, please stop shooting at 12 noon and have lunch. If all squads stop and start at the scheduled times the squadding times will flow, otherwise backups on subsequent stages will be likely. So please, everyone stop at noon and eat. We will be using Practiscore electronic scoring for the match. Please be sure to review the scoring summary on the tablet when you sign your paper copy - this is your chance to challenge the transcribed score. Scores will be posted to USPSA.org shortly after last shots each day. Preliminary match results will be posted right after the conclusion of last shots on Sunday in which the 1 hour appeal period will start. Please enjoy yourself today. Be safe and have fun. If on the off chance you have an issue on a stage, please do not engage in a debate with the staff, as it will hold up the match for everyone else. Instead please call for the Range Master to come address your concern. Ray Hirst, our Range Master, will be more than happy to talk with you about your concern. Shooter swag has been awarded by random drawing in advance of the match, and those prizes were passed out during registration. There will not be a 'prize table to walk' at the conclusion of the match. Performance awards will be order and delivered in the weeks after the match. This match, and all the matches you compete in back home and across the country, are run by volunteers. If you don't already, we ask that you consider giving back to the sport and lend a hand at a match near you. With your help, we can continue to grow our USPSA as the leading action game in town! Thanks, and good shooting!
