Avoca Gold Au-Cu-Zn Project County Wicklow, IRELAND
Avoca Gold Au-Cu-Zn Project County Wicklow, IRELAND West Avoca looking towards the Goldmine River Avoca Project • IMC Exploration has recently acquired the exploration rights to four licences that include: – The former Avoca Copper Mine – Kilmacoo prospect that was identified by Riofinex (subsidiary of Rio Tinto) in the1980s as having a resource of at least 300,000t at 1.5g/t Au. • Highlights of previous exploration on these licences include drill intersections of 8.3m @ 10.1% Zn, 5.7% Pb, 0.48% Cu, 284g/t Ag and 10.0m @12.95 g/t Au. Massive Ore, West Avoca Stringer Cu Ore, West Avoca 2 Avoca Project Overview • The Avoca Project Area is mineralized over a strike length of 8km centred on the Avoca Mine. • With its history of mining, exploration and research, the area is geologically well known. • Previous exploration has demonstrated the potential for Gold and Base metal discoveries with the applicability of many modern exploration techniques. • In line with its corporate strategy, IMC can fast-track to drilling high priority Gold and Zinc targets. A resource of at least 300,000t @ 1.5g/t Au was determined. • Serial sections from the north-east show the setting of the mineralization and the extent of drilling. • Drilling for Au & Zn is immediately justified down dip of hole KG-3 Kilmacoo Area Geology N Interpreted 3-D IP Model LEGEND Unit 4 Volcanic Sediments Unit 3 Rhyolite Known Massive Sulphide Unit 3 Silicified Tuffs and Sediments Unit 2 Lithic Tuffs and Rhyolite Previous Drillhole Proposed Drillhole 200m Near-Surface Extent of Mineralization and Previous Drillhole Collars Kilmacoo Drill Section NW SE KG-8 KG-9 58.32 14.70 7.33 11.30 LEGEND Gold Zone with Peak Au g/t Zn Intersection with Peak Zn% Au/Zn Au and Zn Peak Assay Values N LEGEND Unit 4 Tuffs and Sediments Massive Sulphide Unit 3 Silicified Tuffs and Sediments 100m Unit 2 Lithic Tuffs and Rhyolite Previous Drillhole Proposed Drillhole Syncline Line of Section Drillholes KG-8 and KG-9 Anticline N Ballymurtagh Area SE Mine Opening NW 200m Carbonate Zone (Keating Zone) AV-00-1 (40mSW) AV-00-2 (75mNE) AV-00-3 (20mNE) AV-00-02 AV-00-03 AV-00-7 (150mSW) Deepest ‘AV’ Hole AV-00-04 AV-00-05 Unit 5 Mafic Unit AV-00-01 Unit 4 Fine Sediments Section 10W Massive Sulphide Zone Unit 4 Rhyolite AV-00-06 AV-00-07 Unit 4 Volcanic Sediments Mine Opening Unit 3 Volcanics Exploration Drillhole Mine Drillhole Syncline Axis Ballymurtagh ‘AV-00’ Series Drillhole Collars projected onto the Mine Geology and Mine Geological Section 10W Ballymurtagh IP Survey Lines ‘AV-00’ Series Drill Collars N 400m Deep-Seeking IP Survey Lines in West Avoca together with the resulting 3-D chargeability interpretation Ballymoneen Recommendations IMC have a fully costed program of work following a recent review of the Avoca licences. Recommendations for future exploration include: • Review of IP data • Acquisition and interpretation of airborne geophysical data • Geological review and assessment • Geophysical testing, including10km of deep-seeking IP surveying • 6,000m of targeted drilling.
