QSTS allows for bow up or down adjustment to suit the water conditions for rider preference for better
performance and comfort.
*2 Yamaha Engine Management System (Y.E.M.S.)
An integrated, computerized management system that controls and adjusts such functions as ignition
timing, fuel injection mapping, engine diagnostics and O.T.S.
*3 Cruise Assist / No Wake Mode / Reverse Traction Control
The Cruise Assist eliminates the bother of constant throttle work to maintain a steady speed, which is
something you will really appreciate in long-distance cruising. You simply set your desired speed with
a finger-tip control switch, and it is easy to cancel. Simply returning the throttle lever to the position
where it was set cancels it. In No Wake Zones like harbours or thoroughfares with a speed limit,
just select the No Wake Mode and let control system keep you just at the speed limit automatically.
Reverse traction control manages engine RPM to prevent over-revving when running in reverse.
*4 Security Mode / Low RPM Mode / Remote Transmitter
With the click of a remote transmitter, you can easily reduce top speed and RPMs. The push of another
button gives you the ability to disable the ignition, preventing an accidental startup or an unauthorised joyride.
*5 Yamaha Sound Suppression System (Y.S.S.S.)
The Airbox Baffle keeps intake/exhaust noise at minimum levels. (Combined with
the exhaust baffles and hull construction, the noise level intensity is reduced up to
70% over previous models.)
*6 NanoXcel Deck & Hull
The newly developed super-lightweight hull material NanoXcel achieves a
revolutionary reduction in relative weight without sacrificing strength and
production efficiency. And by using it in the hull, deck and other main parts of the
craft it has been possible to achieve a 25 kg reduction in weight compared to the
conventional materials.

Before Riding
I Read the instruction materials and understand it fully.
I Everyone must wear a PFD and a wetsuit bottom.
I Do NOT ride after the consumption of alcohol.
I Driver must attach the engine stop switch cord (lanyard).
Proper Riding
I Scan constantly for people, objects and other watercraft.
I Keep a safe distance away from people, objects, other
boats and PWC.
I Do not follow directly behind personal
watercrafts or other boats.
I Do not go near others to spray or splash them with water.
I Keep away from intake grates. Items such as long hair,
loose clothing, or PFD straps can become entangled in
moving parts resulting in severe injury or drowning.
I Don’t release throttle when trying to steer.
I Ride within your limits and avoid aggressive manoeuvres
to reduce the risk of loss of control, ejection, and collision.
I Do not jump wakes or waves.
I Do not apply throttle when there are people
at the rear of the WaveRunner.
Rules and Manner
I Understand maritime traffic rules.
I Do NOT drive early in the morning or areas
with many residents.
I Stay away from operating fishing boats or fixed fishing nets.
I Do NOT enter a bathing beach area.
