THANK YOU! … to those who came along to Palm Beach to participate in the annual
Northern Beaches Mothers’ Lunch at Dunes.
The weather was splendid again this year, the food fabulous and the company
wonderful fun!

Our famous home-made sweets cooking days are still underway; they’re mainly held
in Mosman, usually between 10.00 am and 2.00 pm.
and WE STILL DESPERATELY NEED NEW RECRUITS!
HELP US make Fudge, Rocky Road and many more treats. Why not come along, meet
some new Mums and make some new friends. There are always lots of tastings
throughout the sessions and we have a lot of fun!

The American Tea is the Shore Association's main fundraiser and
is held on the first Friday in September each year. From its
humble beginnings, it has evolved into a wonderful day for the
whole Shore Community. Come along and play your part!

Our cafe offers Devonshire Tea, sandwiches and other treats
to go with tea and coffee. Helpers would be appreciated for
an hour or two on American Tea Day particularly between

If you can help with donations of sandwiches made on the day, please contact

Sandwich donations on the day made according to the following instructions:
• Use usual size square sandwich bread. Multigrain, wholemeal or white are all OK.
• After making the sandwiches, place them back whole into the plastic bag that the bread came in.
• Do not cut them up please.
• One type of filling per bag is best but not essential.
• Place a label on the sandwich bag and write on it the type of sandwiches that you have made.
The sandwiches stay fresh in their plastic bags until we are ready to cut them up at
the stall, and then serve them as a mixed plate of sandwiches.
Drop off at the stall/cafe in the Undercroft from 7:30am.

a great chance for our students to
shop for the big day with more
spending power than the big stores
and at the same time support their
school.
Stalls including Sweets, Garden,
Gourmet and Shore Creative will be
selling a range of presents at lower
than retail prices. So please ensure
your boy comes to school prepared
on Friday, 31st August. They will
find us in the Undercroft from 8.00
till 11.00 am.
There will also be a Father’s Day
Stall at Northbridge for your sons
and daughters on Thursday, 30th
August; there will be enough gifts
for everyone to make a purchase.

American Tea
The American Tea is Shore’s annual
school fete and is held for students
and the wider school community on
the first Friday in September. This
year, it will be held on Friday, 7th
September. Its origins go back to
1936 and today it has evolved into a
major initiative of the Shore
Association.

include at least one Shore Mother.
The Individual Perpetual Trophy will be awarded to a past or present Shore mother with a current
Australian handicap.
