Life is better when you surf, this is our company mantra. In 2011 this mantra has never been more
relevant to Global Surf Industries and our product range. Over the past 12 months we have focused
on two key components to improve what we do. Firstly, inclusiveness, this means all types of surf craft
and secondly, something we call CPIP or Continuous Product Improvement Process.
Inclusiveness is important as it allows more people to enjoy a wider surfing experience.
This helps us all bring out our inner waterman. This is the essence of our mantra.
The CPIP process helps ensure that our products are always getting better and better. We have focused
on this and will continue to do so as quality and performance need to be a constant in any business.
Enjoy the range, there are over 150 changes from last year, some large, some small,
all of them make a huge difference.
RANGE NOTES
envisioned not only our collective past,
as surfers, but the future of surfing.
Every serious shaper has made
the trip to the Bishop museum, in
the birthplace of surfing, to see
first hand, the preserved ancient
Hawaiian surfboards. Many of us
have seen the early drawings of
Hawaiians with boards in hand and
others riding waves on the first
boards of the common people, the
finless Alaia.
4
After generations have embraced
the art of surfing, some even going
as far as to restore and learn to surf
the ancient Hawaiian craft, none of
us looked at the ancient craft and
Tom Wegener saw something
different in those ancient boards
and thinks we have a lot of catching
up to do… no fins required. Working
with Tom’s vision, we are proud to
introduce The Seaglass Project.
Charging ahead with the new SLXC
carbon stringerless epoxy layups
and traditional polyester, Richie
Lovett has used his WCT experience
to design an amazing range of
performance boards for 2011.
The Aloha Team has been testing
all year to bring this wild new
technology to you.
Greg Webber has revised his entire
SLX lineup with the new super
light, high performance SLX biaxial
layup. These boards feel as good
as they look. The weight is reduced
again and the new Biaxial decks
feel super alive under your feet.
The light weight and pop has to be
experienced to be believed!
RANGE NOTES
Designed by meyerhoffer in California
Steve Walden’s Magic line is coming
on strong with the sell out success
of his new Walden Mega Magic. The
Mega, with Steve’s Magic bottom
contours is putting new life into
surfing following performance short
boarding with shorter higher volume
shapes. This year Steve has selected
the all new SLX biaxial layup for all of
his SLX and SLXC boards for an extra
lively feel.
Bob and the boys have gone completely
off their nut with wild new graphics
across the line and if you haven’t
heard, their SUP’s are taking home
the hardware at contests worldwide.
To top it, the new Bobsled is brilliant if
you want to ride a shorter stick and put
some life in your surfing. Get on board
with Australia’s legendary Bob McTavish.
We have been sweeping for a
while now and decided it’s time to
completely redesign the SUP paddle.
GSI’s new Trident line is unmatched in
performance, and these beauties are
head turners in the water. You have
to try these paddles for yourself. They
look and paddle like nothing else.
TECHNOLOGY
There are now a number constructions
used by GSI across the range.
To increase the level of awareness
we have included descriptions of the
four most common technologies.
You can find out more at
www.surfindustries.com/technology
Our goal is to minimise confusion and
increase understanding and distinction
between each of the technologies.
TECHNOLOGY
Thomas Meyherhoffer took the
surfing world by storm and has not
let up! This year, after touring the
world, winning design awards in
Australia, the US and Europe for his
futuristic approach, he is back with
the new 9’1 Comp model to support
contestants competing on his
designs. Thomas is on fire and you
won’t believe the way these boards
will change your approach to surfing.
Introduced last year this range has
proven itself around the world. Used
by many surf coaches and surf schools
these boards are designed to allow the
first time surfer to learn the basics
with peace of mind while at the same
time performing in more challenging
surf.
This year Modern… has gone Old
Skool. Digital Retro, Biaxial Epoxy,
modern primitive one finned,
dedicated noseriding single concave
bliss. What’s it all mean? Were going
back to the future – 1967 to be exact.
Surfers worldwide have asked us if
we can build a tuff, no frills board that
is perfect for introducing surfing and
stand up paddling to their friends. And
they all note, it needs to be affordable
and surf well too. Of course we can!
Introducing the Surf Series epoxy
composite board range. From Fish for
the groms, Funboards for the juniors,
Longboards for everyone and SUP
Paddleboards too. Surf Series has you
covered!
There is no holding back Magic
Number 7. The Super Fish continues
to gain as one of the most popular
shapes of all time in poly and X-2
Epoxy. Have a look at the new Über
Smooth SUP -a performance 7’10!
And we found the missing WMD
everyone has been looking for
blowing up at your local break!
Who lit the 7S Fuze? 7S is on fire.
The number one board brand in the
world. Why? Performance, super
clean shapes and the best value
in surfing wrapped in a durable E2
epoxy construction. These boards
simply can’t be beaten for value and
performance. The SUP range is not
to be missed and we imagine that
shortly these super dialled shapes
will be the number one SUP range
as well.
The Blue Funboard range is the perfect
board for advancing surfers ready for
their first traditional polyester board.
With all the bells and whistles, Blue
will get you stoked! Blue surfboards
include a precision CNC core, custom
airbrush colour, a glossed and
polished glass job with FCS fin system
too! If your skills are advancing you
should have a look at Blue!

Tom Wegener has been shaping and surfing
for a long time. And more importantly, he is
a thinker and surf historian. Based in Noosa
Australia, Tom has been studying ancient
Hawaiian shapes and design for decades and
has discovered not only something we will all
benefit from, but he is bringing us a world of
finless design concepts that are destined to
change the face of modern surfing.
Through his years of contemplation, testing and
design, Tom has recognised that the genius
of efficient surfboard design was discovered
hundreds of years ago. Tom’s work is taking us
back to the finless Alaia and opening the door
to our future at the same time.
After testing and refining Tom Wegener
shapes with his team of open-minded surfers,
we bring you the next chapter in surfing,
The Seaglass Project.

Tom Wegener
SEAGLASS PROJECT
TUNA For years top shapers and pros
alike have been claiming that flex will be
the next frontier to understand in board
performance. And we all know from our
own experiments riding parabolic, carbon
railed and stringer-less boards that there is
something to it. Tom Wegener is way ahead
of the curve in understanding flex and board
design. Tom has been experimenting with a
combination of ancient knowledge, modern
material theory and an elite team of forward
thinking surfers to bring us The Seaglass
Project Tuna!
The Tuna and Mini Tuna are finless Alaia
boards that you have no doubt seen top pros
and underground legends riding in waves
like J-bay and Malibu. The Tunas are such
a perfect blend of the proper flex, rail and
bottom contours combined with modern
materials to increase flotation, that they no
longer require fins to surf and are rapidly
changing the way we understand surfboard
design and our surfing experience.
The Tuna’s rocker profile is very flat so it
is easy to catch waves. The combination of
the gentle curves and hard rails holds the
board into the wave face. The Tuna’s speed
is incredible even on the smallest waves!
With the Tuna in your quiver you will look at
the surf in an entirely different way, seeing
waves that are fun and rip-able where you
did not see them before! It will truly open
your mind and your surfing.
The Seaglass Project is changing the
definition of what we ride, how we ride and
where we will want to ride in the future.
With unbelievable partners like Tom on
board, we cannot imagine the doors The
Seaglass Project Tunas have opened.
History is in the making.
The Seaglass Project Tuna is available
exclusively in SLX biaxial epoxy construction
for 2011.

Greg Webber is a non-stop
innovator and shaper for
top surfers all over
the planet.
Two years after the
introduction of SLX epoxy
layups on all Webber
boards, Greg has managed
to lighten and improve
performance by adopting
the latest material
science using biaxial
SLX technology!
Webber brought SLX
epoxy to the market and
created an incredibly
positive response
worldwide. Now Greg is
upping the Webber brand
of performance yet again.
The man knows no limits
and we are proud to have
him on board.
8
THE ONE
Drive, Grip, Speed. “The One” sets
the standard for the all-rounder.
In Greg’s own word’s, “I wanted
to provide the feel of my old
favourite board in a series of
current shapes that was easy
to understand and performs no
matter what the condition”.
Well, once again, Greg has done
exactly what he set out to do.
“The One” can be ridden slightly
shorter than your standard
Shortboard because it’s ridden a
touch wider too, which makes it a
really stable platform to push your
surfing to next level from.
“The One” has a full planshape,
moderate curves, a super neutral
rounded square tail and thruster
set up that provides a ton of drive
but still breaks loose when you
jam it. The lower entry sets the
board up for ripping small surf
while the slightly fuller volume
adds paddle power. The classic
lines inspire confidence in larger
surf which is really what makes
this board “the One”.
Clearly Webber has the touch.
“The One” is the perfect
modern answer to a stable, high
performance all-rounder.
Available exclusively in high
performance, super light SLX
biaxial epoxy layups for 2011.

AFTERBURNER
Greg defined the double
concave Shortboard category
with the Webber Afterburner.
With a slightly wider template
forward and super refined
double concave out to the
swallow tail, the Afterburner is
more performance Shortboard
than Fish but still creates
unbelievable projection and
speed- even in small surf.
A bottom turn off the
Afterburner’s full length
double concave is like
grabbing a fist full of throttle!
Your going! Wrap that speed
up in a package that is loose
in small surf and can be
pushed into heavier hollow
surf with confidence and
you understand why the
Afterburner is one of the most
popular swallow tail thrusters
in the world.
Available in high performance,
super light, SLX biaxial epoxy
construction for 2011.

THE PULSE
The Pulse. We could just stop
with that.
The Pulse is what is going on
in Fishy/Shortboard hybrids.
Width in the tail to keep it loose,
added width and lower entry
in the nose to get in early and
a full, round, Fishy planshape
that screams paddle power and
early entry. The Pulse pumps
up small wave performance
with a tri/quad fin option that
you can tune to your personal
taste for the day no matter the
conditions.
Big guys will like the thickness
profile that hides added volume
under the chest for paddling.
And the added float helps
maintain speed through the flat
sections. The real shocker is
how well this board performs as
the surf comes up. While loose
when you want it, the planshape
is straighter in the tail and that
allows the board excellent grip
in bigger waves. The Pulse is
the perfect big guy all-rounder.
Available exclusively in high
performance, super light SLX
biaxial epoxy layups for 2011.

MINI FISH
What do you get when you
cross a THICK slab of foam,
with an extremely FLAT rocker
profile and a sashimi martini?
The fastest, small wave cork
of a Fish stick in the entire
hemisphere!
The Webber Mini Fish, for
those of you that have not had
the pleasure, is the definition
of what a modern Fish should
be. Thick and flat with Greg’s
highly developed double
concave bottom contours and
full volume rails get this board
moving at mach speeds even in
the most gutless surf. Add the
FCS MRTX Fusion fin set up and
you get the picture. All glide
with the grip and drive you need
to make a gutless section then
rip the lid off when it blows up
on the inside.
Fast and loose, thick and flat,
the Mini Fish is the perfect
board for anyone looking to light
up gutless summer conditions.
Available exclusively in high
performance, super light, SLX
biaxial epoxy layups for 2011.

Aloha Surfboards was
conceived in the late 70’s
and over time has excelled
above fierce competition
to become one of the
premier brand names in the
performance surfboard arena.
From its inception Aloha has
relied on the collective talents
of the shapers, designers,
and an elite team of surfers
to ensure the progression
of the Aloha product. The
synergy between these unique
individuals has maintained
Aloha’s position at the forefront
of surfboard technology, and
cemented the brand into
surfing’s rich history.
Today Aloha continues to draw
from an extensive research and
development program to test,
refine, and produce high quality
performance surfboards for
surfers of all experience levels.
PHOTO: SURF & ADVENTURE, VA, USA
This ongoing commitment
to surfboard design and
progression has seen Aloha
take a leadership role with the
integration of the new SLXC,
Epoxy Stringerless Biaxial
Carbon rail construction,
into the 2011 Aloha
surfboard range.
Aloha has, and always will,
strive to provide World
Champions, free surfing
hellmen, the committed local,
and the weekend surfer alike,
the equipment needed
to achieve their ultimate
surfing experience.

AF1 TOUR
The AF1 Tour is geared towards
high performance surfing for the
intermediate-to-advanced surfer.
The design elements in this board;
such as the smooth progressive
rocker, refined rail volume and foil,
and the performance outline, have
been fine tuned to meet the demands
of the modern day pro surfer.
Aloha’s own team of surfers
including; Richie Lovett, Jay Quinn,
Matt Bemrose, Davey Vlugg, Zahn
Foxton, plus a host of other world
class surfers, have incorporated
this particular model into their
competition quivers. Ultimately
the boards available on the rack
are the exact same boards used in
competition by the pros.
The extreme lightweight construction
of this board called SLXC, is what
sets it apart form other performance
Shortboards on the market. We
substituted the stringer with a
perimeter biaxial carbon rail, and
also used an EPS core and a biaxial
epoxy deck layup. Removing the
stinger allows the board to flex more
naturally to fit the contours of the
wave through turns, while the biaxial
deck glass and perimeter carbon
rail produce a ‘snap back’ affect for
amazing response and pop.
The AF1 Tour allows you to explore
the most critical sections of the
wave, and is the essential board
for the committed surfer looking to
maximise their performance.

AF2 TURBO
The AF2 Turbo SLX is the big
brother Shortboard of the AF1
Tour with an increase in the
distribution of foam volume and
the dimensions. Targeting the
intermediate-to-advanced surfer,
this board retains all the high
performance features you would
expect to see in a pro model.
Slightly thicker under the chest,
the AF2 Turbo will provide added
paddle power and stability while
still maintaining the rail volume,
plan shape and rocker profile
required to surf at the highest
level. A smooth deep single
concave, perfectly proportioned
foil through the nose and tail, and
a neutral rounded squash tail
combine to produce lightning
fast response.
The AF2 Turbo SLX offers pro level
performance with a touch more
forgiveness. From small junky
beach breaks to pitching hollow
power, this board is fast, lively
and should be considered the
backbone to a high performance
Shortboard quiver.
Available exclusively in high
performance super-light SLX
biaxial epoxy layups for 2011.

STRYKA
Former ASP Tour surfer Richie Lovett
designed the Stryka for novice through
to elite riders looking for a modern fish
design that’s super stable, easy to ride,
yet maintains the feel and performance
of a contemporary Shortboard.
Key Shortboard elements such as
a refined nose outline, rail volume,
and a deep single concave, have been
adapted to a suit additional width
through the centre and tail. This unique
combination of features essentially
generates speed in weak surf and
maintains the rail-to-rail sensitivity and
response of a much narrower board.
An overall reduction in the forward and
aft rocker profiles further enhances
the board’s speed, especially in
substandard waves, while the single
flyer and swallow tail combination
offset the extra width and maintain
the boards pivotal and holding
characteristics in hollow surf.
The Stryka is a truly versatile craft
that can be used in a wide variety of
conditions. This model will complement
any quiver and comes with a tri-quad
fin configuration allowing it to be set
up as a thruster or a quad to really
capitalize on the fun factor.
Available exclusively in lightweight
performance polyester layups for 2011.

QUICKSHIFT
Forgiving yet still performance based,
the Quickshift is easy on the eye and
even easier to ride. The Quickshift
is the perfect alternative to the high
performance models and is ideally
suited to surfers looking for an allrounder that will perform at the local
beach break, right through to the most
serious reef break.
The functional design elements in the
Quickshift work together to create
a board that performs as good as it
looks. The full outline through the
front half of the board adds stability,
and a refined entry rocker with flipped
nose lets you to confidently paddle into
steeper waves with ease.
A slightly pulled in swallow tail,
single-to-double concave, and a
smooth progressive curve through
the tail allows the board to maintain
control and maneuverability in critical
situations and at high speed, while still
maintaining the board’s sensitivity in
smaller waves.
The versatility of the QUICKSHIFT is
further enhanced with a tri-quad fin
configuration allowing it to be set up
as a thruster or a quad to customize
its performance in a variety of
conditions.

BEAN
By popular demand, the Bean will be
available in both traditional polyester,
and the new super lightweight SLXC
stringerless biaxial carbon epoxy
construction for 2011. Meaning the
Bean just got better!
The Bean is essentially a hybrid model
more commonly referred to as a pod, the
difference being this particular model
is still considered high performance.
Ideally suited to small-to-medium size
surf, the Bean offers a fun alternative to
riding a regular Shortboard.
Appropriately named, the BEAN has a
fuller nose template providing a platform
for efficient start-up acceleration and
paddling, while the relaxed entry rocker
maintains speed and glide over flatter
sections. A shallow single-to-double
concave with vee running out through the
tail delivers response and bite where it’s
needed, while also promoting smooth
rail-to-rail transitions. The perfectly
balanced tail rocker and performance
rails complete the design and allow the
Bean to be surfed tight in the pocket.
Offering the Bean in SLXC construction
further enhances the versatility of this
model. We substituted the stringer with
a perimeter biaxial carbon rail, and also
used an EPS core and a biaxial epoxy
deck layup. Removing the stinger allows
the board to flex more naturally to fit the
contours of the wave through turns, while
the biaxial deck glass and perimeter
carbon rail produces a ‘snap back’ affect
for amazing response and pop.
As a general rule you can ride the
Bean 3-to-6 inches shorter than your
regular Shortboard, and the tri-quad fin
configuration gives you the freedom to
surf it as a thruster or quad.

Steve Walden is probably one of
the most prolific board shaper /
designers California has ever
produced. If you grew up in
California or the North Shore of
Hawaii then you know, without
a doubt, that Walden is nothing
short of a living legend. The
Turbo Hull, Strato Flex, Carbon
railed stringerless Longboards,
reverse wings, chines and more.
One of the most creative
shapers to ever pick up a
planer, Steve has never stopped
innovating in his quest to bring us
the ultimate ride.
Walden can be credited with
an amazing list of contributions,
not to mention being the world
record holder for the longest
noseride ever recorded in
competition at 25.5 seconds.
When Al and Rusty talk
about the development of
the modern Longboard, they
both point to Steve. If you look
back at who was shaping the
high performance boards for
Lightening Bolt, CI, HIC and
Local Motion, you shouldn’t be
surprised to see Steve’s name
on the stringer.
Walden started shaping at 13
and has been mowing heaps
of foam ever since! With over
25,000 boards hand shaped and
the wildly popular Magic Model
design to his credit, we can’t
wait to see what Steve
will do next!

MEGA MAGIC
A runaway hit, the Mega Magic
is one of the most popular and
talked about step decks of all
time. Steve Walden dug deep
into his 40 years of shaping
experience to design this
amazing board.
Steve’s Mega Magic design
features the Magic bottom
contours and rocker profiles
that both accelerate and cut
back incredibly. Then he took
the design further by adding
core volume while blending a
chined performance Magic rail.
The result is the unbelievable
ability to take 12” to 18” off your
Longboard, without a loss of
float or stability.
The step rail and extra volume
allows the board to float like a
much longer board. Catch any
wave you want, rip it to shreds
and finish off with a noseride
for the crowd. This board has
massive volume packed into a
short package and that allows
for much tighter cutbacks, with
no loss of speed, noseriding or
planning ability.
This is truly a brilliant design.
Enjoy.

CARBON RAIL
Walden Magic Model riders
asked if we could make them
a special, super lightweight
performance version of the
Magic. Of course we can!
SLX Carbon – SLXC is our
highest performance custom
wet epoxy layup. There are
several ways for us to control the
flex of our surfboards. In depth
testing has led us to a limited
release of the SLX Carbon
Construction. Light and loaded,
the SLX Carbon lay up allows us
the fastest recoil of any board
we build while also bringing the
weight of the board down. The
tensile modulus of the added
carbon on the rail (three times
standard glass) makes the SLX
CARBON layups feel extremely
alive and responsive.

MAGIC MODEL
The unbelievable Magic Model was
developed nearly thirty years ago
and remains one of the most widely
distributed and popular Longboards
ever designed. When Steve designed
the first board in 1981 it was deemed
“Magic” by everyone that tried it and
the legacy began.
From a distance the board looks
fairly conventional but as soon as you
grab the rail, you know this is not a
conventional board! From the nose
the rail is tucked and blends into a rail
chine all the way back to a hard release
off the tail. The concave on the bottom
is set from single, to double combined
with a generous vee that you can
feel when you initiate a turn on these
boards. These features are blended
to create an acceleration and release
that feels like no other design. And the
Magic Model accelerates with only the
slightest pump.
Remarkably stable, anyone can ride
the Magic Model, from beginners in
knee high dribblers to professional
contestants in heavy conditions (and
they do). One of the design features
that allow this amazing versatility is
the moderate template combined with
a highly defined tucked rail chine. The
board is stable, yet when you get on
it, whether you are pumping down the
line or jamming a cutback, the board
will instantly respond. You’ve got to love
it! Did we mention that it noserides
incredibly? It’s a one board quiver that
does EVERYTHING well!
For 2011 the Magic Model will be
available in a solid traditionally glassed
polyester, and our robust X3 epoxy
performance version.

EPOXY RANGE
The MINI MAGIC was designed for two groups of surfers asking for the same Magic board!
One group of Magic Model Longboard riders wanted to try the Magic rails and bottom design in
a smaller size range as they rounded out their quivers with smaller performance funshapes. The
other group of Magic Model riders were smaller surfers and women that needed a narrower/shorter
performance shape. Steve was only too happy to help them out and the Mini Magic was born!
The Mini Magic is built in the new durable X-2 epoxy construction. For 2011 we have also managed to
reduce the weight of these boards to increase performance yet again!
With a thin wood veneer sandwich, the X-2 boards have the lively feeling and the durability to remain
in your quiver for years. Feel good that the X-2 series was built with wood. It’s a step forward for epoxy
sandwich technology, performance and the environment.
MAGIC 3 There is a group of Magic Model riders out there that are always pushing the limits.
Whether they are traveling to off the map surfing destinations, or charging the heaviest local bombs
outside, they needed a Magic Model that could handle the abuse and perform if the surf was
2 feet or 20. The answer is the X-2 Magic Model 3!
Steve has taken the performance
features of the Magic Model; the Magic
rail, single to double concave and
Magic rocker that have made it one of
the most widely ridden designs in the
world and add two critical features.
The rounded pintail has been added to
inspire confidence and insure that no
matter how high and tight you pull in,
the board will hold in the barrel. And
the rocker of the board has also been
tuned to increase the down the line
speed. You can really appreciate the
speed when you are trying to beat
the train at an isolated point break
halfway around the world!
With a thin wood veneer sandwich,
the Magic 3 X-2 epoxy boards have
the lively feeling and the durability to
remain in your quiver for years. If you
are looking for the all around durable
performance board that you can really
push the limits on, look no further!
This Magic 3 is the board for you!

MAGIC SUP
The Magic SUP is exactly that. From the 10’10” epoxy cruiser to the 9’4” performance noserider,
these SUP’s have been proven as an incredibly versatile group of SUP shapes.
The Magic concave, chined rail vee bottom and relaxed rocker in these shapes has proven that they
are equally adept at being nose ridden in overhead surf as they are navigating your favourite inland
water way or lake. The step deck to performance rail puts the volume where you want it, under
your feet, allowing the rail to perform the Magic cutback these boards are known for.
The 10’10” is an unreal noserider and that Magic bottom makes it amazingly responsive when it’s
layed over on a rail. The size of the board makes it perfect for big guys who rip and equally stable
for new paddlers gliding effortlessly for the first time.
The 9’11” is an
extremely versatile
performance shape
that is equally at home
noseriding or trimming
at your local point break
or for breaking in a new
paddler in the local bay
or lake.This board feels
really loose but has the
stability to be fun for a
new sweeper as well.
The 9’4” is perfect
for intermediate and
better surfers that are
looking for Longboard
performance in their
SUP.

level. This board is super fast, due
to the flat bottom contours and
carves off the bottom like a knife

BOBSLED
The McTavish Bobsled is here
to put some life back into your
surfing! This is a high volume
rocket and a neo-classic McTavish
design. This board is loaded with
features.
Low entry rocker and extra volume
make sure that you are going to
get in early with the least amount
of effort. The Bobsled is set up
with the new powered-up, ultraresponsive, McTavish quad set up.
It is simply brilliant! The Bobsled
has speed to burn and more thrust
than a thruster, with incredible
trimming speed! The quad turns
on any part of the wave: snappy
face pivots, pumps, weaves, or
deep gouges. The Bobsled paddles
like a big-guys-short-board, high
and level. It’s a new, better way to
surf hard and fast.
The Bobsled features:
> Pulled in tail for maximum
manoeuvrability
> All new quad fin set up for
speed and drive
> High volume easy paddling
You are going to love this board!

FIREBALL EVOLUTION
The number one McTavish
design, the Fireball Evolution,
features all the stand out design
features that keep riders on the
Evolution year after year. The
pronounced nose bevels make
noseriding and walking the nose
effortless without losing the
sensitivity to sideslip at will.
The deep nose concave keeps
you firmly perched out front.
The deeper tail concaves to
spiral vee keep the tail lively
when you’re ready to hit that
cutback and the revised tail lift
keeps your cutback tight.
This board has the ability to
trim on the nose with the
best in perfect point break
peelers as well as inspire the
confidence you need to take
the drop in serious heavy surf.
The versatility of this design is
what has made it a favourite
worldwide. Do yourself a favour
and give this board a go!
For 2011 the Fireball Evolution is

CARVER
The Carver is another timeless McTavish design, continually under development, with
constant input from the McTavish team. The Carver now has more defined nose concave
and bevels, a slightly deeper double concave tail, and a tweaked McTavish rocker profile.
The perfect all-round mid-length for your favourite beach or reef break.
It’s engine is a stiff-rockered zone with double-concaves right under your feet in a turn,
and the front fins are pulled right up under your back foot, supplying speed, acceleration,
looseness and comfort all from the one generous sweet-spot. The front section is light
and bevelled, giving that real Shortboard feel, yet enabling fast easy paddling. The ideal
design! Just surf it like a Shortboard, but with a massive wave-count.
> Exclusive 3-stage rocker, for safe
drops and fast acceleration.
> Thruster fins mounted well
forward for “shortness”.
> Nose concave for easy wave
catching and lightness.
> Forward bevels for “no-catch”
re-entries.
> Double-concaves in tail for
acceleration.
> Rails slightly enlarged short-board
style with release edge in tail.
For 2011 the Carver is available in
solid traditionally glassed polyester,
and a super lightweight SLX epoxy
performance version.

SUP - X3
The 9’0” McTavish SUP is the
highest performer in the SUP
range, ripping in conditions to
double overhead! The template
is narrow in the nose, like a
conventional Shortboard, and
features a single flyer tail template,
which narrows the tail width, as
well as providing a pivot point
right under your feet. The rails
are also just a blown-up version
of a performance Shortboard
rail, giving maximum control and
feedback. The Quad + centre box
fin set-up allows for a variety of fin
configurations, to suit the riders
preference. This board is for the
advanced rider from 60-90KG, and
light-weight intermediates.
model, and the rocker profile
is more progressive than a lot
of larger SUP’s. The twin-flyer
tail template brings in the tail
width for more response off
the tail, while the straighter
rail curve allows for stable
walking, and extra trim speed.
The Quad + centre box fin setup allows you to start out with
a 2+1 set-up, getting a feel for
the board, and move onto a
quad when you want to loosen
things up. This is one for the
bigger guy, looking for real
performance..
McTavish Paddle This
paddle features super tough
black tint fibreglass ultra low
volume surf blade and carbon
fibre shaft and handle!
The 9’6” McTavish SUP is a perfect
all-rounder, suited to beginners
under 90KG, and intermediate/
advanced riders under 110KG.
The 9’6” has a fuller ‘Fish’ style
template, with a bit more width in
the nose and tail, and fuller rails.
This gives maximum buoyancy and
control while paddling, but doesn’t
compromise on performance when
you get going. The double flyer
tail design brings the template in
where your feet pivot the board,
for easy rail to rail surfing. Best
suited to waves from 2 to 6-8 ft. The
Quad + centre box fin set-up gives
maximum versatility, and practical
features like the centre carry
handle and EVA foam deck make
this an easy SUP to live with.
The 10’0” SUP is the workhorse
of the McTavish range, able to
handle beginners up to 100KG, and
advanced riders up to 120KG. This
board has plenty of floatation, but
still rips once you’re moving. The
template and rails borrow heavily
from our successful ‘Carver Fish’

TRIDENT PADDLES
PADDLE PRO CARBON
The new Paddle Pro Carbon is our most advanced carbon epoxy SUP power paddle. It turns heads on the
beach with the no volume blade and futuristic cambered design. In the water, whether you are going the
distance for time or hitting the surf, this paddle delivers extremely smooth, flutter less, efficient power.
The no core design reduces buoyancy and increases stroke efficiency – it also happens to look very cool.
This new oval matt finished carbon shaft has the strength to be abused by the most serious competitive
paddler and the touch that provides the subtle grip needed in situations requiring complete and
instantaneous paddle control and finesse. And the new reduced volume handle is the perfect anatomical
compliment for experienced stand up paddlers who expect excellent control and engineering in their
equipment.
SURF PRO CARBON
The new Surf Pro Carbon is a narrow, cambered, ultra low volume, dihedral blade that delivers flutterless, smooth power, quickly. It is designed for sprinting bursts while catching waves and jamming rudder
turns. The Surf Pro Carbon features digitally refined features in a narrower blade that we prefer for
manoeuvrability of speed in the surf.

ADJUSTABLE
Designed to be used in a wide variety of conditions from flat water paddling to surf riding SUP, this
paddle is an affordable and durable family favourite. The handle is easy to adjust and because of its
simple yet durable design, the adjustment setting will not come unadjusted during even abusive use.

Based in northern California
and a world-renowned
industrial designer by
training, Thomas Meyerhoffer,
was not convinced that his
boards were working the
best they could.
So a few years ago he tossed
aside all conventional
knowledge of what we all
know “works” and redesigned
the surfboard.
Without a doubt he has
brought us not only true
innovation but again opened
the doors for future designers
to test the mettle of the
establishment and challenge
surfers and shapers to
consider what really works
and why!
36
COMP 9.1 - SLX
Thomas Meyerhoffer loves to
mix it up. And if you haven’t
seen it yet, you will soon. The
new Meyerhoffer has infiltrated
the Longboard contest circuit in
Australia, the US and now Europe.
With feedback and orders from
new Meyerhoffer competitors,
Thomas has designed the new
Competition 9’1”.
First unveiled at Noosa Australia
in 2010, the competition
prototypes were ridden by world
champion surfers and given some
heavy credentials in excellent
surf. He has done it yet again.
Thomas has narrowed the nose
a bit, reducing the swing weight,
reduced the volume and thinned
out the rail for more aggressive
and responsive surfing. The
deeper concaves are rechanneled
around the fins creating incredible
thrust off the bottom. With the
revised tail shape pulled in
slightly, the board cuts back in an
unbelievably tight radius.
The new comp model is easily
recognised across the beach
with the retro blue nose dip and
bold cigar band design that is a
conscious nod to surfing’s roots.
Demo centres will be set up
all over the world for 2011. You
have to ride this board yourself.
It’s a game changer and an
unbelievable departure from
surfboard design theory.
Available exclusively in high
performance, super light SLX
biaxial epoxy layups for 2011.

MEYERHOFFER
The winner of more design awards in
2010 than most designers will achieve
in a lifetime, the Meyerhoffer has
made its mark in surf history. The
Peanut, the Duckbill, the Sexy board
(look at those curves for a minute
and squint), whatever you call it, the
Meyerhoffer rips like nothing else!
The accelerated entry rocker off the
nose works in perfect tandem with
the forward paddling position enabled
by the radical side cut that is so
obvious from across the beach. This
allows you to generate a ton of paddle
power because your stroke is so
natural, not around the typical 22” you
would have on a traditional board.
Once up on a plane, the nose is
completely out of the water on your
cut back allowing the side cut to do
it’s thing. The side cut pushes the
wide point way back…that means that
when you cut back you are riding a
much shorter curve. Thomas calls it
a Shortboard in a long board and that
is the perfect description. It’s simply
an amazing feeling, and your cutback
never looked so good or projected so
hard!
Add to that the radical concaves and
this board produces HEAPS of drive.
The deep concaves put the force of
your drive directly past the fin surface
generating amazing amounts of
squirt. Thomas has also designed a
lower volume more radical 9’1 comp
version requested by the growing
crew riding the Meyerhoffer’s in
competition!

performance, super light SLX biaxial

OLD SKOOL
Trim. Glide. Style. Some of it
never left and the Modern
Old Skool is bringing the rest
back. It’s a 100% dedicated
noserider. The Old Skool features
60/40 rails and a massive 7”
squaretail with a deep single
nose concave set in a bellied vee
to vee bottom contour. Whoa. You
can feel the mojo the moment
you pick the Old Skool up.
Examine the super smooth deep,
long nose concave and you can
imagine the parking tickets your
gonna have to pay for spending
so much time parked on the
nose. The single box, massive
noseriding skeg and clean
pinlines finish out this highly
polished classic that will send
your head spinning with visions
of endlessly peeling tropical point
breaks.
At GSI we have affectionately
nicknamed this board, “the
plank”. Prepare to walk it,
because the massive volume and
width dimensions at 10’ x 24 ¼ x
3 1/8 or 9’6 x 23 x 3 bring the Old
Skool in at a respectably heavy
weight and stability that will have
you cross stepping to the nose
full time.

WMD
WARNING: THE WMD IS NOT YOUR DAD’S FISH!
The new 7S WMD defines the
bullet movement for performance
alternative Shortboard designs.
High performance rails, and a
super thin swallow tail generate
massive speed and thrust out of
every bottom turn.
The WMD’s entry rocker and tail
exit are very flat allowing the
rider to get in and set up early as
well as generate speed quickly
after spins and over vertical
cutbacks. It’s signature ¾ length
single concave enhances the easy
rocker profile providing lift for
more speed in any condition from
knee high to overhead.
The WMD’s single flyer swallow
tail is combined with a spiral vee
behind the front fins giving the
board two major advantages:
the drive of a thruster and the
pivot and easy recovery of a wide
twin fin.
Ride it as a thruster or a twinster
- with a little trailer fin! This
board is all about going fast.
The WMD comes standard with
FCS M5 Glassflex Series fins.

SUPER FISH
The Super Fish is one of the
most popular boards ever made
and continues to win converts
worldwide! The reason for the
Super Fish’s success is that it
blends high performance surfing
with wave catching ability in a
way that no other board has
before it - a Shortboard with a
step deck that works!
The Super Fish has high volume
under the chest that allows you
to ride a shorter board than
usual while still raking in a high
wave count. Add to that the
performance low volume rail
that lays over and cuts back like
a performance Shortboard with
half the volume, and it’s a ripper
anyone can ride!
The single concave and low entry
make the board super fast down
the line and aids in early entry as
well as getting up onto a quick
plane for easy speed. The board
also has the optional tri/quad
fin setup and comes with all
five fins so you can ride it either
way! This is one of the most
fun designs ever shaped and it
comes in a size range for every
surfer! Enjoy!!

The Super Fish XL has all
of the features that make the
Super Fish such a blast to
ride but with the extra volume
and length to be the perfect

The reason for the success
of the Super Fish XL is that
it blends the same high

SUPER FISH
The Super Fish in X-2 Epoxy is the
answer if you are looking for a more
durable version of this amazing
board with all of the features that
make the Super Fish such a blast
to ride.
The Super Fish in X-2 Epoxy blends
the same high performance surfing
and wave catching ability as the
Super Fish, with a durability that
polyester can’t match. X-2 Epoxy
construction is the answer for
surfers that want performance but
need a more durable platform. If
you are heavy footed or tend to put
a few extra knee and elbow dings
in your board, you will want to
check the X-2’s out. The X-2 is also
perfect for surfers that log a lot of
airline miles and want to make sure
their board gets to its destination in
one piece!
The single concave and low entry
make the board super fast down the
line and aid in early entry as well
as getting up onto a quick plane
for easy speed. The board also has
the optional tri/quad fin setup and
comes with all five fins so you can
ride it either way! This is one of the
most fun designs ever shaped and
it comes in a size range for every
surfer! Enjoy!!
The Super Fish is available in
the new light, tough X-2 Epoxy
construction and traditional
Polyester for 2011.

FUZE
Get lit on the Fuze!
The Fuze capitalises on a new
school, flat, pod style rocker profile,
and does it in a stable and easy
to paddle short board template.
The flat tail rocker gets the board
up and squirting early, even in
gutless conditions but WITHOUT the
Shortboard grovel. It just glides in.
The foil is minimal from the front
foot back and carried out through
the tail adding a bit of volume
further back in the board. This
creates a stable, large sweet spot on
the board and keeps it focused on
projection. The rounder performance
template and squash tail make a
stable, versatile and responsive deck
that is down the line oriented for
speed in small surf or anywhere you
need to generate that speed yourself
quickly. The performance rails lay
over quick at high speed for radical
direction changes.
(B) Blue
The Fuze has a SMOOTH deep single
concave and is one of the fastest
down the line boards in its category
because it has very little resistance
to the flow of water being pumped
through the concave and over the
thruster set up. The low tail rocker
allows you to push and pump your
way quickly into speed where the
waves are weak, or, crank it up
to subsonic speeds when you are
surfing a powerful, lined up wave
to bust that one big move.
When you need a performance
Shortboard that gets in easy no
matter the condition and quickly
generates heaps of speed, the Fuze
is the board you are looking for.
Light it up!

ÜBER SMOOTH
The new Über Smooth is a top
to bottom, next gen SUP for
sweepers really pushing their
stand up in the surf. At 7’10 x
31 ½”, the board is wide and round
giving the surfer a solid and stable
base to drive the board from. At
the same time, the roundness in
the planshape combined with the
radical double concave and roll out
the tail make this board go totally
vertical at will.
The entry of the board is
progressive and flipped enough to
take-off late and steep. And the tail
rocker and thruster set up are all
down the line speed. This board
is comfortable in the pocket and
loves to sit deep. The deck pad
is thick and diamond plated for
comfort and critical traction with
an integrated arch bar and tail kick
to drive from when you’re bashing
the lip!
The Über Smooth is a board that
wants to be surfed aggressively
and is designed to take on
any surfer breaking down the
boundaries between SUP and surf.
You want some more?!? Come and
get it! If you’re going big, this is
your new SUP sweeper.

ÜBER FISH 2
The 10’2” Über Fish 2 is the
second generation Über Fish - all
grown up. It features a new rocker
profile that blends an easy glide
with a relaxed entry; this gets the
board in the wave early allowing
time for you to set up a solid
bottom turn and glide down the
line effortlessly for beginning and
intermediate stand up paddlers.
The new template pulls in and foils
out the nose for a tighter turning
radius and a low swing weight,
which makes the board feel alive
off the bottom. Add to that the
cleanly foiled and thinned double
wing swallowtail and you know
that the board will both hold in the
pocket and lay over responsibly on
your cutback.
The Über Fish 2 paddles and
glides so easily you may not just be
taking it to the beach. With a new
balanced centre handle to carry it
across the park, and flatter gliding
transition in the rocker, this board
is also excellent in your nearest
lake or river. Up for some SUP
cross training? If you are working
on those abs, or want to find a
secluded picnic spot across the
lake (for working on those abs?)…
The Über Fish 2 will have you
covered either way.
This is the perfect all-rounder
for new to intermediate paddlers
looking for a fun durable shape.

next 10K at the lake? The
Über Cruz is the board for you.
The Über Cruz is available
exclusively in our lightweight
X-3 Micro-Sandwich Epoxy
construction.
One of our most popular boards,
with a rapidly growing fan base,
the 12’ Über Cruz has the stability,
glide and projection that have made
it a leader. The highly foiled rail
and step deck design (see photo) is
why this board works so well. The
entry is low and clean. The Über
Cruz leaves a minimal wake even
when being aggressively paddled.
The step rail blending into a foiled
swallowtail is a hydro-dynamically
clean transition that makes the
board a pleasure to paddle.
The Über Cruz has a wave riding
pedigree, being from 7S, and is
at home in the surf. The step rail
with reduced volume means that
a bottom turn is easy at surfing
speeds and the swallowtail holds
into a wave face for unbelievable
control. Add the side fins for surfing
and you have a cross over board
that performs not only in the flat
water but in the surf too.
Lastly the board itself is stable on
the water and the Über Cruz has
a balanced handle in the deck that
makes transport easy. The diamond
traction is vacuum bagged to the
board insuring it won’t peel up and
will provide years of use.

At Global Surf Industries we employ a number of technologies in the constructions of our boards.
We are constantly seeking the future of surfing. We invest heavily in research and development.
We are working with leading edge materials and science. We are continually testing and exploring possibilities.
This process for us is an endless mission and part of our success for the future.
SLX EPOXY
SLX sets the performance standard in Epoxy Boards.
Boards with the SLX logo are layed up by hand in the
traditional wet layup method using Epoxy. An SLX epoxy
board is super lightweight with quick acceleration and
a very responsive feel. These boards are built for high
performance and will bring a fresh vision to your surfing!
Surfers worldwide are adding wet layup epoxy boards to
their quivers because they are super light, recoil quickly
and add pop to your surfing. Get on an SLX Epoxy and feel
the difference for yourself.

SLX CARBON
SLX Carbon, or SLXC, is our highest performance custom
wet epoxy layup. There are several ways for us to control
the flex of our surfboards. In depth testing has led us
to a limited release of the SLXC construction. Light and
loaded, the SLXC layup allows us the fastest recoil of
any board we build, while also bringing the weight of the
board down. The tensile modulus of the added carbon
on the rail (three times standard glass) makes the SLXC
layups feel extremely alive and responsive. Available in
two layups: • SLXC Biaxial with stringerless Nanoweld
EPS core • SLXC Biaxial with T3 laminated stringer and
Nanoweld EPS core.

TRADITIONAL POLYESTER/POLYURETHANE
These boards are made with polyurethane foam cores
split down the centreline with a wood stringer and laid
up by hand with fibreglass cloth and polyester resin.
This technology was first developed in the late 1940’s
but has held the attention of the surf community for
over 60 years! It is still a part of every pro surfers quiver
worldwide. Our Polyester boards are CNC shaped and
hand glassed with the following materials:
• Bennett Foam • Top quality “E” Glass in a balanced
50/50 weave • Laminated 2 part stringers for extra
strength – this guarantees that no weak wood grain
compromises the board strength •Quality fin systems
developed by FCS
X-2 EPOXY/WOOD PERFORMANCE
We all know the feeling of taking off on a fresh custom
board! You can feel the board flex, the glass and wood
straining as you power through your bottom turn. Now
imagine your new board has that feeling on your first
drop, the second week, and still feels that good next
summer. With a thin wood veneer sandwich, the X-2
boards have the lively feeling and the durability to
remain in your quiver for years. Feel good that the X-2
series was built with wood. It’s a step forward
for sandwich technology, performance and the
environment.

NSP is stronger and lighter!

strength and performance
of NSP!
We have also added new colours

better value or more fun!

STAND UP PADDLE
10’0” The 10’ NSP SUP is the perfect SUP for new smaller Stand Up Paddlers or experienced wave
riders that are looking for a traditional Longboard shape in a SUP. The 10’0” is equally at home in the
flat-water cruising the lake with friends or jamming a cut back in solid surf, setting up for your nose
ride routine! The NSP construction is super light and tough at these high volumes. That means this
board will perform with boards over twice the price and is extraordinary value with fins and vacuum
bagged deck pad included!
10’6” The Noserider! The 10’6” features all of the performance characteristics of the 10’0” board in
the surf, and was originally designed for 70kg intermediate SUP’ers as an all-rounder. It surfs great
and as the design intended, is a stable workout and cross training platform for working on those abs.
However, this board noserides to the end of the earth! It is absolutely unreal and so easy to noseride
you won’t believe it – and for riders up to 85kgs! The durability and fact that it comes complete with
full deck traction, leash and all the fins too, make it an unbelievable SUP
for the price. The 10’6” will be an instant favourite at your
local beach.
11’0” The Cross Trainer. The 11’0” NSP
SUP is the perfect “do it all’ SUP for
anyone up to 90kgs. As the cross training
wave of SUP paddlers are now finding
their way into some surf, this board is
gaining in popularity. The 11’0” is VERY
stable, durable and light. And the fact
that is has a surfing pedigree makes it
that much more fun to ride. A blast in
the surf or exploring the local fishing
hole, while “working out” the 11’er
does it all well.
11’6” This is a lot of board! Big
paddlers, first timers, schools and
flat water adventure paddlers will love
this board. This board is super stable;
noserides, surf’s well, and can double
as the family tandem too! Choosing the
right board for your fist SUP experience
is the difference between having a good
time and a hard time. With the 11’6”
NSP SUP, whether you are training,
fishing, surfing or looking for a board
that can easily do it all, the 11’6” NSP
is a very good choice.
NSP E2 construction is as tough as it gets,
we really like it and know you will too. The
NSP SUP boards are a complete package
with a leash, traction already applied and
removable fins system all included.

FUNBOARDS
The 6’8” is probably the most
popular board in the Funboard
NSP series.
This is a forgiving performance
fun shape that will offer a stable
platform for beginning surfers
as well as a rounded pintail
that will hold in overhead surf
for expert surfers too. With this
shape you have all your bases
covered. It’s durable, catches
waves well and can take your
surfing to the next level. This
is a true travel board that will
work for you in a very wide
variety of conditions.
The 6’8” is a oneboard quiver!
The 7’2” Funshape is a
performance version of the 7’6
with a little more flip in the nose
to assist with late take-offs.
This performer has a beautifully
proportioned template that is both
stable and responsive in a variety of
surf. The 7’2 is narrow enough to fit
under your arm at 21” and buoyant
enough to be an easy paddler that
will get you into waves all day long!
The 7’2” is a comfortable fun shape
that will get you in early and help

The 7’10” Mini Longboard is a performance

8’2” The 8’2” Mini is a classic
shape for smaller aspiring
Longboarders and Mini
Longboard fans too. The 8’2”
features a relaxed and neutral
rocker profile that is all fun
all the time, responsive while
being easy to ride. The single
concave assists in catching
your first wave or noseriding
like a pro and the nicely
blended rails feel like and old
friend the first time you pick
this board up. The rounded
square tail/thruster fin
configuration is responsive and
drives nicely off the bottom.
The 8’2” is the perfect allrounder for any level of surfer.
Malibu that you will never outgrow
no matter the level of surfing you
achieve. The single concave to
vee bottom combined with the
rounded square tail and the option
to ride in the classic single fin or
2+1 thruster style, make the 9’2”
a fantastic choice. And at 9’2” it’s
legal length for any sanctioned
Longboard competition. Enjoy!
8’6” Most surfers think of a
Mini Longboard being an 8’6”.
And a lot of surfers think of a
Mini Longboard as the NSP
8’6” in particular. Found all
over the world the NSP 8’6”
is one of our most popular
boards. This board is perfect
for a range of surfers learning
at Waikiki on their first wave
or charging overhead surf on
the outer islands. Perfectly
proportioned foil, template
and concave make this board
a blast to ride and for many
surfers their only board for
good reason!

SURF BETTY
The Surf Betty is designed for
young girls to advanced Betty’s
that want to spend more time
exploring new surf breaks and
travelling with their friends than
fixing dings!
The 6’4” Surf Betty Fish is the
perfect board for intermediate
to experienced traveling
Bettys that are looking for a
durable Fish shape. With the
low entry rocker, performance
mid volume rails and a single
concave, this board will work
well in small mushy conditions
to solid head high surf you
might find with your friends!
It is built tough so that when
you’re not on the search,
the younger Bettys in the
family can have a go too
and not damage your
board!
The 7’2” Surf Betty fun shape is
a performance version of the 7’6
with a little more flip in the nose
to assist with late take-offs.
This performer has a beautifully
proportioned template that is
both stable and responsive in a
variety of surf. The 7’2 is narrow
enough to fit under your arm
at 21” and buoyant enough to
be an easy paddler that will get
you into waves easily all day
long! The 7’2” is a comfortable
fun shape that will get you in
early and help you advance your
surfing skills.
The 7’6” Surf Betty tri fin egg
is a classic. It’s shaped like a
Mini Longboard and the focus
here is fun! This is a perfect
first board for young girls
and older Bettys alike. The
egg shape is small enough to
carry around but really stable
on the water. This board will
grow with your ability - from
your first cutback to your first
cheater 5!
The 6’8” Surf Betty fun
shape is probably the
most popular board in
the Surf Betty series.
This is a forgiving
performance fun
shape that will offer
a stable platform for
beginning surfers
as well as a rounded
pintail that will hold
in overhead surf. With
this shape you have
all your bases covered.
The board will fit under
your arm (at 21”), offers
a stable ride and will
work well in surf from
knee high to overhead!
It’s a one board quiver!

SOFT SURFBOARDS
At GSI we believe that Life is Better When You Surf. Everyone should have the chance to
surf and enjoy it! That is why we have designed our Soft Surfboards. These boards are
built tough to take the beating only new surfers can give a surfboard but soft enough that
the boards won’t bite back!
GSI soft boards are the top tier of soft surfboard performance and durability. No expense is
spared in building and designing these boards. We start with a CNC Nanoweld watertight
core, and glass them with epoxy and heavily reinforced high quality glass. They are vacuum
bagged with a really tough combination of high quality cross-linked, soft deck material that
will last and a high density, super tough, slick skin for grinding up into the sand that sets a
new durability standard. The fin boxes and fins are tough too. Built to handle the first time
mistakes beginners make as they learn the ropes in the shore break!

Lastly we wrap the nose and tail in a super tough marine synthetic that is
UV stable and engineered as a bumper for everything the marine
environment can dish out. These boards look good,
surf great and will take a beating.

The Surf Series brand was
created to get you surfing!
The most common reason aspiring
surfers don’t take the plunge is
that surfboards are expensive…
not anymore!
The Surf Series is designed to be
both durable and easy to ride.
When that itch to get wet needs
to be scratched this summer,
Surf Series has a Fish, Funboard,
Longboard or SUP that‘s perfect
for beginner to intermediate
surfers at a price they can’t
afford to pass up!
60
FISH
Fish. We all love ‘em and keep
a few Fish shapes in our quivers
for smaller days because they
are fun to surf! Experienced
surfers will recognise the value
the Surf Series Fish provides the
grom or junior surfer as soon as
they pick one up. Intermediate
surfers will love the fact that we
combined a fun modern Fish
shape with a tough, cost effective
epoxy construction.
If you’re a grom and just learning
to surf, you will find the modern
Fish design makes it easy to
catch your first wave and make
your first drop. The Surf Series
Fish is also tough, so it can
handle a few bumps as you get
used to getting your board to and
from the beach; denting cars
and door jams instead of your
board along the way! The Fish is
available in three sizes so your
local surf shop can recommend
the one that will work best for
you.
Surf’s up! Go Fishin’!

plenty of float, the Funboard feels
comfortable to a new surfer.
If you have surf experience and
need a very durable board, the

STAND UP PADDLE
As stable as they are user friendly
and tough, the Surf Series Stand Up
Paddle Boards are the best value
in entry-level boards available.
We spend a lot of time stand up
paddling ourselves and designed
a series of boards that will
provide as much stability and user
friendliness as possible. The Surf
Series Stand Up Paddle Boards are
durable. They are made using very
tough epoxy construction with an
exceptionally scuff resistant outer
skin. We have balanced the boards
and placed a centre handle in every
board for easy transport too!
These boards are equally at home
in the surf or exploring your local
lake. If you are cross-training to
build the core strength that Stand
Up Paddling is becoming so well
known for, these boards are stable
so you can focus on your workout.
Every board can be set up for
surfing or flat-water paddling.
The large boards are best suited
for larger paddlers and novice
riders while the smaller boards are
suited to more experienced surfers
or smaller paddlers.
Surf Series has a quality Stand
Up Paddle Board for you that
won’t damage the budget and
will provide years of fun for the
entire crew. All boards come with
removable fin systems for easy
transport and storage convenience
too.

FUNBOARDS
Fun, progressive, performance
shapes with all the perks.
When you buy your first board
you need to have a shape that
you can grow into. And this
is a proven design that won’t
hold you back. Blue has been
building thousands of boards
for successful new surfers
around the world for years.
The Blue Funboard shape
incorporates a proven and
refined design to help you move
to the next level in your surfing.
The Blue Funboard shape is
simple and clean with a neutral
template and a generous sweet
spot under your feet. This allows
you to get the board going from
a variety of stances as you
develop your style. The easy
entry rocker allows you to
catch waves easily and set up
early for the big drop! And as
you find your mojo, the double
concave, rounded squaretail
will take you vertical when
you’re ready!
These boards have a little
extra glass on the deck so they
will wear a bit longer than a
dedicated performance shape
and the FCS fin system allows
you to tune your board to higher
performance as you advance!
If surfing is your new lifestyle,
then a Blue Funboard will take
you where you want to go, and
you’ll look good doing it!
Blue Funboards are glossed,
polished and available
exclusively in traditional
polyester for the 2011 season.

This is an easy one. It’s a BOARD HORSE! Yeah, it looks like a
TV dinner tray holder for your surfboard. It will hold your board the
same way and you can get rid of the TV tray and eat off
your board too when your watching surf vids. Nice.
It’s also great in the shop for showing off and comparing rockers or shapes.
Installing fins on the board you just sold while comparing rockers is easier on
the BOARD HORSE. It makes small ding repair easy too.
It is perfect for de-waxing and folds up flat when you don’t need it. If you
are not using this, you are blowing it. We can’t make this any easier for you!
