WILLIAMS
Tennis Academy
An Introduction
Internationally recognized tennis legends Venus and Serena Williams have combined an award-winning on-court experience,
expert instruction, and world-class training facilities to establish the Williams Tennis Academy for youth and adults.
With locations slated for development in key domestic and international locations, the Williams Tennis Academy offers
personalized, comprehensive training programs amidst strategically located and idyllic settings. The Williams Tennis Academy will
partner with public and private entities and develop a strategic plan to customize the Academy and maximize the associated real
estate value based on each facility location. Each Academy will be designed and implemented as a comprehensive, full service
facility or tailored to meet the specific, compartmentalized needs of each partner and accompanying facility.
Discipline, effort and education serve as the cornerstone of the Academy’s foundation. Each facility will immerse players in a
motivating and rejuvenating environment specifically designed to help them
reach their personal and
professional tennis goals. With Venus and Serena’s success so closely
tied to each other as
well as their father, mother and sisters, the Williams Tennis Academy
supports a
family-oriented atmosphere providing a natural balance to the drive
and
determination that permeate every aspect of the program.
“Williams sisters net historic win: Venus and Serena Williams
became the first players to win four Olympic Games Tennis titles
after being crowned women’s Doubles champions at London 2012.”

Venus Williams
Venus Williams has been ranked World No. 1 in singles by the Women’s Tennis
Association on three separate occasions. She became the World No. 1 for the
first time on February 25, 2002, becoming the first African American woman to
achieve this feat during the Open Era.
Her seven Grand Slam titles tie her for twelfth on the all time list. Venus’ titles
consist of seven in singles, thirteen in women’s doubles, and two in mixed
doubles. She is one of only five women in the Open Era to win 200 or more main
draw Grand Slam singles matches.
Venus has won four Olympic gold medals, one in singles and three in women’s
doubles. She and her sister Serena have won more Olympic gold medals than
any other female tennis player.
“I don’t come to tournaments to make friends…
I come to be the best.”

Serena Williams
Currently regarded as the world’s best tennis player, the Women’s Tennis
Association has ranked Serena Williams World No. 1 in singles on six separate
occasions. She became the World No. 1 for the first time on July 8, 2002, and
regained this ranking for the sixth time on February 18, 2013. She is the only
female player to have won over $40 million in prize money.
Regarded as one of the greatest tennis players of all time, Serena is the only player
to have achieved a Career Golden Slam in both singles and doubles. Her 30 Grand
Slam titles ties her for eighth on the all-time list: 15 in singles, 13 in women’s
doubles, and 2 in mixed doubles.
Among active players, male or female, she holds the most Major titles amid
singles, doubles, and mixed doubles. She has won 13 Grand Slam doubles titles
with her sister Venus, and the pair is unbeaten in Grand Slam finals. Serena is also
a three-time winner of the WTA Tour Championships and has won four Olympic
gold medals, one in women’s singles and three in women’s doubles.
“Luck has nothing to do with it, because I have spent
many, many hours, countless hours, on the court
working for my one moment in time, not knowing when
it would come.”
