Year Round Schedules
With Four Ports of Departure
Long Beach at the Downtown Catalina Landing:
Frequent daily departures beginning at about 6:15 am. Up to 8 daily departures. Trips are about 1 hour.
Dana Point:
Two daily departures midweek & three on weekends. Trips are 1 hour, 30 minutes.
San Pedro:
Scheduled departures to both Avalon and Two Harbors. 75 minute Avalon service as early as 7:00 am
with up to 7 daily & weekend departures. 90 minute trips to Two Harbors.
Long Beach at the Queen Mary:
Primary port for Camps and Charters.

Long Beach available only by boat!
AquaLink-Boat excursion between Catalina
Express/Queen Mary, Aquarium of the Pacific and
Alamitos Bay Landing. The sixty-foot, 75 passenger catamaran travels to popular attractions in
Long Beach Harbor and along 4 miles of coastline
to Alamitos Bay Landing. Round trip approximately 90 minutes.
AquaBus-Water taxi service stops at Catalina
Express/Queen Mary, Aquarium of the Pacific and
Shoreline Village. The forty-foot, 49 passenger
boats make harbor crossings in 5 minutes.
These services are located in Long Beach Harbor, call for
hours of operation. Purchase tickets on board vessels.
Reservations:
Advance reservations are recommended. Tickets may be purchased the day of departure,
based on availability. Children under 7 years must be accompanied by an adult.
Baggage Policy:
Two bags per person to be stored in the luggage hold. All bags must be tagged with identification. No one piece weighing over 70 lbs. and over 21" x 24" x 36" in size. One piece of
carry-on luggage must fit beneath the seat. Strollers must fold, pets must be leashed and
muzzled, one scuba tank allowed per person, weight belts must be carried on-board. Contact
the barge or air freight for oversize luggage/equipment. U.S. Coast Guard prohibits flammables, combustibles, batteries, firewood, camp stoves, etc. Please ask agent for travel advice.
Check-In:
Check-in is required at the terminal one hour prior to departure. Passengers not checked-in
at 15 minutes prior to departure forfeit their reservation. Passengers need to be on board 5
minutes prior to departure time.
Payment:
Credit card guarantee and 24-hour cancellation notice required for advance reservations.
MasterCard, Visa and American Express honored with valid photo identification. No checks
accepted at the ticket window. Refund on deposits and tickets purchased in advance are subject to a $5 refund fee (does not apply to group bookings).
Terms:
Schedules, prices and terms are subject to change without notice in conformance with
California Public Utilities Commission Regulations. Catalina Express accepts no responsibility
for lost tickets or cancellations due to adverse weather conditions.
