Sergej Andreevski was born in Skopje, Macedonia in 1960, and graduated from the Faculty
of Fine Arts in Skopje in 1985, followed by postgraduate study abroad with scholarships from
the Galleria di Arte Moderna in Rome, Italy, and from the city of Nuremberg, Germany.
Sergej has participated in more than 200 group exhibitions in his own country, and in Europe,
the USA, Japan, and China. He is a winner of many national awards, and his paintings and
drawings are owned by state institutions and museums all over the world as well as by
private collectors.
In 2003 Sergej with his wife Irena established an artist residency program in Sergej's
ancestral Macedonian village of Sloeshtica where he spent his childhood. This program, Art
Point Gumno, has strong ties with both the Asolare Fine Arts Foundation and the No
Boundaries Art Colony in Wilmington NC, with Sergej as a board member of both these US
organizations.
For our reception, there will be an exhibition at Asolare of his recent works.
