If a fire is detected, the data is transferred to the fire control panel, and released fire controls. The processor in this device triggers centralized and decentralized control functions via input and output modules. It does not matter whether the network has a ring structure and is therefore failsafe, is Ethernet or a combination of the two. In case of malfunctions, the degrade function guarantees operation of the system components that are impaired by the malfunction. All signals are automatically displayed on the operating panel based on their origin, or can be handle using operating functions. In any event, the messages together with a timestamp are entered in the event memory so that the locations where fire started can be ascertained subsequently. System overview FS720 The FS720 fire detection system is the new global generation of Cerberus PRO fire control panels. It combines the highest safety standards with international product innovations and cutting-edge technology. The fire control panels, fire terminals and the shared C-WEB network are designed in accordance with EN 54-2, EN 54-4 and other national supplementary requirements. They represent the heart of the FS720 fire detection system. The highest levels of detection reliability and optimum adaptability to customers' existing systems are achieved in conjunction with intelligent FD720 peripheral devices (C-NET). FC722 fire control panel The size of this fire control panel makes it ideal for smaller applications (e.g. workshops and hotels). It is possible to connect a total of 2 (4) loops or 4 (8) stub lines with up to 252 addresses. Its strength lies above all in its compactness that permits quick and efficient installation. FC723 fire control panel The FC723 is a modular fire control panel with integrated user interface and processes signals from Cerberus PRO FD720. A built in card cage with 2 plug-in position enables the application of: – -C-NET line cards FCL2001-A1 (for additional lines) – I/O-card FCI2008-A1 (with 12 programmable in-/outputs) – SynoLOOP line cards – Interactive and Interactive-Ex line cards Die FC723 supports up to 756 addresses. 2 Building Technologies Fire Safety & Security Products FC724 fire control panel The FC724 fire control panel can have 4 (8) loops or 8 (16) stub lines with up to 504 addresses. This means they offer sufficient capacity for medium-sized fire detection installations (e.g. regional banks and office complexes). FC726 fire control panel The FC726 is a modular fire control panel with integrated user interface and processes signals from Cerberus PRO FD720. A built in card cage with 5 plug-in position enables the application of: – C-NET line cards FCL2001-A1 (for additional lines) – I/O-card FCI2008-A1 (with 12 programmable in-/outputs) – SynoLOOP line cards – Interactive and Interactive-Ex line cards The FC726 supports up to 1512 addresses FT724 fire terminal All fire control panels have an integrated user interface. However, the FT724 fire terminal is available for remote operating panels. The view shown on this compact person machine interface can be freely allocated between fire control panels. Max. 5 fire terminals with system wide view programmable. Floor repeater terminals and floor repeater display Messages from relatively small monitoring areas (e.g. hospital wards) can be detected by FT2011 floor repeater displays and operator intervention is even possible as well using FT2010 floor repeater terminals. These devices are C-NET participant. The innovative redundant network nodes not only set new standards in terms of failsafe characteristics but also for high-speed data transfer. It is also possible to extend the distance between panels by the use of a repeater. Backbone (C-WEB/LAN ) Using a fiber-optic Backbone (C-WEB/LAN) up to 14 of the above mentioned clusters (with up to 16 stations each) can be networked. This topology enables the construction of an EN 54-compliant network with up to 64 panels and fire terminals. Management station A danger management station can be connected directly to any network type: standalone panel, cluster (C-WEB/SAFEDLINK) or hierarchical network (C-WEB/LAN). When such connections should be made via a customer network, then a Security module shall be used to provide Firewall protection (and a VPN connection if the management station is not within the customer network itself). 4 Building Technologies Fire Safety & Security Products C-NET overview Transmission of fault and alarm signals FC724/FC726 Service FDA221/ FDA241 FT2011 Fire control panel collective 2...24 zones Alarm Fault Floor repeater display FC10 FDCI OH 2 (8) conventional horn lines OP OP ASD FDCIO 4 inputs FDS FDCL C-NET 4 (8) loops FDM223-Ex OOH740-A9-Ex Explosionhazard area FT2010 Floor repeater terminal HI OH DBS OP FDCIO Extinguishing control panel collective stub line XC10 1 output FDCIO 4 outputs FDF FDCW FDM FDCL221-Ex FDL FDS Mimic display FT2001-A1 1 input FDCI 4 inputs FDCIO 1 input FDCIO FDOOT 1 Extinguishing sector FDM273 Radio detectors Characteristics Optimum use of customers' resources Integration of intranet.
