Named by People en Español as one of the 50 Most Beautiful in 2011, today she is a budding actress, accomplished producer, and renowned philanthropist. Celines’ charismatic nature, lively personality, and natural beauty led her to quickly gain popularity, very early in her career, as a television and radio host for Univision and ESPN Networks, where she was a presenter and host in El Gordo y La Flaca and Sabor a Beisbol, respectively. Featured in dozens of magazines, she went on to work with a number of renowned brands such as Walmart and Jillian Michaels. In pursuit of her lifetime dream of becoming an actress, Celinés moved to Los Angeles in 2007 and shortly after, held roles alongside the likes of Michelle Rodriguez in Tropico de Sangre, Edward James Olmos in America, and Vin Diesel in Bandoleros, among others. Celinés’ interest in the film industry and her entrepreneurial spirit led her to found Esencia Films, a company dedicated to supporting meaningful and rewarding independent projects. A firm believer in the importance of philanthropy, Celinés has supported many organizations throughout her career. In 2005, she founded Latino Youth in Communication Arts (LYCA), a NYC-based refinement and empowerment center for young girls. In support of the Dominican Republic, she has served as a spokesperson for the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, as well as an on-going advocate, ambassador & supporter of the Dominican film industry. In addition to her recognition by People en Español as one of the 50 Most Beautiful, Celinés was named ‘Woman of the Year’ by El Diario La Prensa, and recognized by the New York State Senate as one of the most accomplished Latinas in the United States. PHILANTHROPIST Philanthropy is important to Celinés. With the belief that our youth is essential to the success of our future, she founded Latino Youth & New York City Communication Arts, a non-profit which aims to empower Latino youth in the communication arts, as well as provide resources and networking opportunities. Today, the non-profit continues to serve hundreds of Latino youth throughout New York City. In addition, she is a Chairperson alongside Junot Diaz, of the Dominican Republic Education and Mentoring Project (DREAM), which facilitates access to education for thousands of underprivileged children in the Dominican Republic.
