environment-monitoring modules, the Pulsar EX provides

The 100 & T7 Ultra-Isolator Noise Suppressor Transformers
protect sensitive electronic equipment from electrical noise
disturbances. These disturbances, from such sources as
lightning, utility network switching and the operation of
electrical motors, are the most common and most
troublesome of all AC power disturbances. Noise signals
that can affect electronic equipment occur seven times
more often than voltage fluctuations and blackouts
combined.

with inherent surge protection, noise and bidirectional
harmonic filtering as well as superior isolation. With units
ranging from office models to floor or wall/panel mounted
industrial models, the Topaz 800 provides an excellent
solution for any application with noisy or poor power quality.

Comet EXtreme UPS is designed for critical power
protection. Its modular architecture allows it to fit any
configuration—stand-alone or rack version. Also, its
advanced communication capabilities are compatible with
any enterprise network. The Comet EXtreme offers the
following; on-line technology with a large input voltage
window tolerance for high-disturbance areas, manual
maintenance bypass, long backup time (up to 90 minutes
at full load), generator compatibility, serial port and two
communication slots for optional cards.

Topaz 700
The Topaz 700 power conditioner provides the best threephase protection against electrical noise and voltage
fluctuations from such sources as lightning, utility network
switching and the operation of electric motors, causing
computer errors and damage to sensitive computer
circuitry. The Topaz 700 provides +/- 3 percent typical
voltage regulations from zero to 100 percent load.

Galaxy 3000
The Topaz S3 Inverter has a streamlined modular design
reducing cabinet space without compromising quality. The
inverter module is also hot-swappable when an alternate
AC source is available increasing the availability of power
to critical loads. Featuring proven pulse width modulation
(PWM) technology specifically designed to meet the
demanding AC power requirements of today’s electronic
equipment, the Topaz S3 provides excellent isolation
between AC and DC for maximum efficiency and low audible noise.
The Galaxy 3000 provides a high-performance design for
power protection of mid-range system applications in a
compact, easy-to-maintain package. These three phase
UPSs provide uninterruptible power in a scalable design that
ranges from 10 kVA to 30 kVA. Typical applications include

features including 0.9 output power factor, the smallest
footprint of any 200 kW on-line UPS and a proven
architecture for unparalleled reliability. Other added features
include a built-in battery management system, detailed
event logging and generator-friendly input filter.

Throughout America and the world, the EPS 6000 Galaxy
class UPS is trusted in more mission-critical applications
than any other UPS. Time tested and true to its name, this
"uninterruptible" power supply offers a host of truly
unique features.
The available generator-friendly "low kVAR" input filter
options dramatically reduce generator oversizing
requirements while its high real-world operating efficiency
often results in energy cost savings greater than the value
of the UPS.
Using MGE's proprietary DPQM (Digital Power Quality
Management), the EPS 6000 inverter delivers practically
distortion-free power with some of the industry’s tightest
performance tolerances. DPQM logic also makes the EPS

most accidental load side shorts without damage to
system — overcoming the traditional Achilles heel of

Featuring a K-20-rated MGE isolation transformer, solid
copper bussing and industry-leading power monitoring,
the PMM provides distribution for up to 252 branch
circuit breakers in power levels from 30 to 300 kVA.
Optional branch circuit and panel board mainframe
breaker monitoring remove the risk of breakers tripping
due to over current by vigilantly monitoring current on
all breakers in the distribution system for an

Switch (STS) with the advent of the Epsilon class STS
using a host of next-generation features that provide unparalleled reliability. At the heart of the STS is a failsafe logic
system featuring the latest generation FPGA (Field
Programmable Gate Array) circuitry to assure reliable
source transfers under all conditions. The logic is fortified
by isolated redundant power supplies and an inherently
safe operating architecture. Leaving nothing to chance,
redundancy is found on all critical assemblies on the
Epsilon STS.

The Status Card is intended for IBM AS/400 protection: major
power events will be signaled to the system which can lead to a
safe system shutdown.
The SNMP/Web 10/100BT communication card is both an
SNMP agent and an HTTP/Web server. Therefore, it enables UPS
supervision from any Network Monitoring System using SNMP
and traps or simply from any web browser (Internet Explorer,
Netscape Navigator, etc.). Orderly system shutdown of up to 35
protected servers can be established using MGE’s SolutionPac/WAN software suite.

UPS Web-Pac is the industry’s most secure power
management software. When used in conjunction with the
XML/Web card or XML@gent, it provides comprehensive
and highly secure management of network attached UPS
systems from anywhere on the network using a standard
web browser. Up to 250 servers can be protected by XMLClient, the java-based shutdown software, available for
virtually every operating system ranging from various
versions of Windows to UNIX, Apple Mac OSX, Linux and
Novell Netware.

XML-Web Card acts as a web page for your UPS information.
Used along with XML-Client™ software, each server or workstation
will be protected and can monitor the UPS with a simple web
browser. Security is handled with the SSL protocol, used by many
websites to safeguard sensitive password information.
This card has two independent RS232 communication
ports, on which it can be connected. One for connecting
monitoring software (included) and one for remote control
panel UPS control.

Take advantage of the latest and fastest communication
protocol for Microsoft Windows 2000/XP or Mac OSX.
The SNMP/Web 10/100BT communication card is both an

Pulsar STS 1400 (Source Transfer Switch) offers power
redundancy and high availability for your strategic network
and telecom applications. It handles the automatic or
manual transfer of your loads between two independent
sources that you designate as preferred or alternate. In the
event of a failure, the transfer is automatic and
instantaneous (66027).

Battery Maintenance and Replacement
is a single location where you can call for all
service inquiries or issues. The Center handles all service order processing, dispatching of Service
Technicians to a customer site, customer inquiries and phone calls, and is able to respond to technical
issues. Regardless of whether you call to discuss a product feature or inquire about the status of a repair,
the Customer Care Center personnel will be able to retrieve relevant information instantaneously and
convey it directly to you.
Battery service is a vital component of any UPS maintenance program since even one battery that has failed can wreak havoc on an entire system. In order
to maintain 100% uptime and to protect your investment, regular quarterly or semi-annual battery system inspections are strongly recommended depending
on your installation and the environment in which the batteries operate. Also, since batteries have a limited life, MGE will also assist you with the monitoring
of your batteries to help you make the critical decision of when it is time to replace your batteries. When it proves necessary to replace one or several of
the batteries (malfunction or end-of- life), MGE will provide you with new batteries to help you conform to the specification of your UPS system to guarantee
you that your system is appropriately backed-up.
The MGE Customer Care Center located in Costa Mesa, California offers a centralized location for all of
