with a count of 446 YES and
139 NO, for a total of 585
votes. The minimum for a
quorum was 495 votes (60%

votes were counted and verified by the staff of Carolina
Association Management,

Please direct any questions
about the voting procedure
or results to Pat Patterson

• Set up a recurring quar-
terly auto payment to
DLCA for their quarterly assessment of
swim club dues
• Set up a one time payment to DLCA for their
quarterly assessment of
swim club dues

the weight bench. Thanks to Allen
Hecht for all his hard work in this
area. And be assured the board is
working on this!

Please excuse our lack of
cups for the water coolers on the

forgot it.
Since that time, Easy Draft has
made some improvements and
streamlined the process. Unfortunately, EasyDraft has not had the
time to update its instructions, but
the new Web Site screens are very
intuitive and easy to use. Below are
some new help hints that will help
you modify your existing payment
or establish a new payment.
Remember you do not need a
password to get to Easy Draft. Just
go to the DLCA Web site
WWW.Davislake.org and close to

the bottom of the screen in the left
column you will see the icon entitled
EasyDraft. Hit this icon and follow
the screen instructions.
This should be a fairly easy process. However, if you still have any
questions or need help email Jerry
Bielfeldt at
Jbielfeldt@Carolina.rr.com.. He will
respond either by email or phone.
By the way, the benefit of EasyDraft is you never have to worry your
payment being late. You will have a
time stamped receipt (email) of when
you made the payment.

CAM’s Corner
CAM appreciates the opportunity to provide its management services to the Davis Lake community. Our priority to the Davis Lake
community is to preserve, protect
and enhance property values! Our
mission is to provide fair and equitable treatment of all homeowners
as we realize an understanding of
the homeowners’ association concept. Our dedicated years of training and experience enable us to
maintain a consistent and professional approach to each area of concern in the Davis Lake community.
As part of our service to the
DLCA community, and by direction
of your board, we drive the community and note the condition of all
neighborhood properties. Those
that are not in compliance with the
governing documents receive a
“letter of notice” from us, with a
request for correction of the situation. However, we also send out
“letters of appreciation” for those
owners with well manicured yards
and letters that addressed non-

compliance concerns.
cannot immediately resolve.
We have received some calls
thanking us for our efforts and providing information regarding concerns
with constructive suggestions for the
neighborhood. Those calls certainly
make us appreciate the quality of
Davis Lake homeowners.
CAM has also been consulting to
the DLCA board on procedures and
events pertaining to the swim and
tennis club. Budgeting, club procedures, accountability, personnel transition and many hours of personal
involvement have produced on-site,
hands-on operational understanding. It has also allowed CAM to become acquainted with many homeowners.
Unfortunately, we also received
rude, abusive, and threatening phone
calls. While we will be polite and
respectful in addressing your concerns, we cannot respond to these
calls. Please be aware that we may,
regretfully, have to report those to
proper authorities if they become
threatening.
CAM continues to be in a period
of transition and is making every effort to address, respond and correct all
situations of which we have knowledge. We ask that any homeowner
having a financial or community
(property) management issue to
please call, email, fax or mail us immediately. We share with the Davis
Lake Board those concerns that we
We appreciate the positive comments that we continue to receive. It
means we are doing our job correctly. If you would like to volunteer and help out with many areas of
need, please contact CAM or any
board member.
We appreciate your patience,
cooperation and support as we continue our transition with Davis Lake.
As Davis Lake homeowners move
into this new environment, we will
be there to address your needs and
service your community.

The Davis Lake 2006 Fall Garage Sale
Sponsored by the Davis Lake Swim Team
Saturday, October 7th
From 8:00 am until Noon on Saturday, October 7th, the Davis Lake Swim Team (the Dolphins) will once again be
sponsoring the Community Garage Sale. ALL Davis Lake residents are invited to turn their clutter into cash!! Not only
will you make $$ for yourself, but a portion of the proceeds will go towards the Dolphins’ 2007 swim season.
To participate, simply fill out the slip below and return it with a check for $25 made out to Davis Lake Swim Team
to Wendy Andrews @ 5007 Foxbriar Trail (Winterberry Ridge) By Friday, September 29th
Contact Wendy Andrews at 704-921-7695 or email at philsfam@bellsouth.net with any questions
Get in on the HUGE turnout of buyers that flock to Davis Lake for this sale. As part of the entrance fee, the Swim
Team will obtain your permit (Mecklenburg County requires a permit for each participating household) and place
ads in local newspapers and magazines. In addition, your address and a description of the items you are selling will be
included on a map (if you make the deadline!) to be distributed at the neighborhood’s entrance.
Special markers will be given to all participating households to place on the mailbox on the day of the sale. Houses
without this marker that are participating will be asked to donate $25 to the Swim Team and may be subject to a fine by
the City of Charlotte. This is a great chance to take advantage of the advertising and legwork we do for you. Not sure if
you have enough clutter to get rid of on your own? Why not join up with a neighbor and split the $25 fee!!
The night before the sale, participants will receive a kit, which will include: your permit, special house marker, map/
list of items for sale at each house and a helpful hints instruction sheet.
