Celebrating 40th Annual Sale!
This year marked the 40th Annual Minnesota Simmental Association State
Sale, meeting and banquet. This year’s events took place February 22nd and
23rd in Rochester, MN at the Olmsted County Fairgrounds. It was a terrific
anniversary weekend of fun and fellowship for MSA members highlighted by
the crowning of the new MSA Queen Katie Ristau, Preston, MN; recognizing
Outstanding Junior Supporter Erick Barberg, Cokato, MN; and honoring the
Roger Claeys Family, Winnebago, MN, with the Traveling Bell Award. Junior
members were also awarded jackets for their County Fair accomplishments.
The winter weather earlier in the week made its way out of the area in time
for a nice Saturday sale. There was a great crowd on hand at the sale facility.
The selection of herd picks, genetic lots, females and bulls averaged $2,827.
