THE OFFICAL ALFRED SANZARI ENTERPRISES NEWSLETTER SPRING 2013 New Public Garden Honors Alfred Sanzari Enterprises’ Co-Founders The Alfred and Mary Sanzari Garden, a new public space, has opened in Hackensack adjacent to the Court Plaza office complex at the corner of Main and Essex streets. The 10,000 sf garden greets visitors with a bronze inscribed plaque that reads, “Because of You,” acknowledging the couple’s dedication to Hackensack and their legacy as the founders of Alfred Sanzari Enterprises. The 10,000 sf area, built by Alfred Sanzari Enterprises, which is headquartered in the complex, provides a green respite in the midst of a thriving business neighborhood across from the courthouse. Lush plantings, brick and stone paths and garden structures surround an ornamental fountain with seating areas and decorative lighting. Evergreens color the winter months, and seasonal flowers, perennials, shrubs and other foliage will enhance the garden’s aesthetic throughout the seasons, providing a beautiful respite area for residents and professionals who live and work in Hackensack. The garden exemplifies Alfred Sanzari Enterprises ongoing commitment to give back to the communities in which it is active. Conceived by the company’s president, David Sanzari, the area enhances the city’s landscape and is a fitting tribute to his parents. “We planned a green, landscaped area, and created something that is good for our office complex and great for the city of Hackensack,” David Sanzari said. “Built and named in honor of my parents, who founded Alfred Sanzari Enterprises 68 years ago, this public garden has surpassed all my expectations to become a beautiful addition to Court Plaza and one of the gateways into the city of Hackensack. Moroch & Associates was represented by Bruce Hecht of Dallas-based Swearingen Realty Group in the transaction. • Treetop Development signed a 4,200 sf office lease. The multi-faceted real estate company is known for renovating and developing multifamily residential properties in the NJ/NY metropolitan area. The company is moving from Newark. Treetop Development was represented by Yitzi Karasick of the Homer Group in the transaction. • Univision Communications, Inc., the leading media company serving Hispanic America, has expanded its long-term lease at Glenpointe by 10,000 sf, for a total occupancy of 78,000 sf.
