The BOD fully understands and appreciates your comments and concerns. I also want to congratulate Brian Petty, Allen Talbot and Wade Anderson who were elected to the 2014 BOD. The proposed budget amendment was also passed by our voting membership. The BOD, Lisa, Bill, Cary, Teresa and Jason are in the process of evaluating the results of the membership survey. Many of the suggestions and comments were innovative and on point. Once we have completed the evaluations the results will be posted on our website. I want to thank everyone that completed the survey. As we all know, and appreciate, many of the Club’s projects are only made possible by the donations of our membership. Those donations are in the form of money or time or both. The MWGA made the powder room renovation possible but this was also with the assistance of Mike Goodson, Mike Hocutt and Jon Young who assisted with materials, labor and selecting the contractor. Jon Young also provided materials to correct the drainage problems along the #9 cart path. Craig Cougill donated the labor and materials for the repair of the back 9 restroom and Joe Ingram volunteered in having the cart barn overhead door repaired. Many thanks to the MWGA, team Mike, Jon and Joe! I want to wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving and in that spirit I also want to give thanks to our membership for your support of our Club. Steve Hillis – President Maumelle Country Club FROM YOUR CLUBHOUS E MANAGER Dear Membership, With so many events, tournaments, weddings, birthdays and everything else going on at the club in the month of October, I’m sure the staff would like a little bit of a breather. Not quite yet. We may have a week or two with business as usual, but we are about to head straight into the Holiday season and that means parties. There are still a few good open dates for your office or personal parties during the next two months. Please give me a call and see what we can do to take the pressure off of you this season and we’ll do it up right. Remember, part of being a member is being able to use your club at no charge for the room except for the linen and set-up fee. I appreciate everyone that participated in the Membership Survey and returned them. We took away tons of good information and advice from the survey and we promise to respond in a positive way to all your requests and suggestions. Also, thanks to all of the members who came to the general membership meeting. Thanks to all of the people that came out to help with the execution of a GREAT OktoberFest last month. With the exception of a little rain at the end, everyone seemed to really have a great time. Finally, please come up and visit with me or call if you come across any cool events that we can put on to the calendar in the next few months. Now is the time to plan out a great year at MCC.
