CARTER GUIDE UPGRADE KITS

Carter Products offers band saw guide upgrade (retrofit) kits for many popular saws. These kits typically include the upper and lower guides, upper and lower mounting brackets, studs, screws, and (if appropriate) a guard adaptor
bracket. Users report Carter Guide Kits improve overall saw performance, reduce blade friction, and increase cutting accuracy. Currently, kits are available for the band saws listed below. Additional kits are continually being
developed as demand warrants so please visit our web site for the latest developments or contact Carter direct. Custom kits are available upon request for most saws from 14” to 42”. Guides kits listing an X after the kit number are extra wide configuration: Model 500 guides fit blades 3/16” to 3/4” normal and 1/2” to 1 1/4” X extra wide. Model 600 guides fits blades 1/4” to 1 1/2” normal and 1” to 2 1/2” X extra wide. See table on rear for blade

A Carter Products Micro Adjustable Guide Upgrade Kit is one of the most cost-effective performance enhancements you can buy for your band saw. Whether you are using your saw on weekends, or multiple saws in a manufacturing operation, Carter Guide Kits improve the overall performance of any band saw. By controlling and guiding the band saw blade you get greater accuracy,
reduced friction, and increased safety and blade life.

Micro adjustment of bearings
Exceptionally low friction means cooler running blades and longer blade life
No wear on contact surfaces eliminates the need for constant blade adjustments common with block guides
Thrust support bearing at the rear of the guide establishes low-friction contact on all blade surfaces
Guides are a major key to band saw performance. Blade guides prevent the blade from moving out of position when cutting.
This is particularly critical in resawing. Inadequate guiding under resaw stress will result in inconsistent lumber thickness
and substandard parts.
