BIG(GER) Aim Quality Symposium held October 25, 2012 By Cherry Odom, BSN, RN-BC Mission Health’s 2012 BIG(GER) Aim Quality Symposium was held October 25 at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC. Presented by the Performance Improvement Department, the event highlighted speakers, poster presentations, and a mortality conference, featuring staff from Mission Hospital, Angel Medical Center, and Transylvania Regional Hospital. Our BIG(GER) Aim: Getting each patient to the desired outcome, first without harm, also without waste, and with an exceptional experience for the patient and family. William Maples, MD, Senior Vice President and Chief Quality Officer, welcomed attendees and introduced speakers who reported details of their projects.
