LifeStraw® Go – the personal water filter for everyday use
Stop worrying about unsafe water. LifeStraw® Go filters a minimum of 1,000 liters of water to the highest standards. LifeStraw® Go – the personal water filter for everyday use Overview LifeStraw® Go is an innovative new personal water filter, which enables you to safely drink crystal clear water from contaminated water sources easier and safer that it has ever been done before. With LifeStraw® Go you no longer have to be concerned about your local water source. LifeStraw® Go is based on the award-winning LifeStraw® technology, developed by Vestergaard, which has been used in millions of LifeStraw® personal water filters in more than 70 countries around the world under the most extreme conditions. Unlike most other personal water filters, LifeStraw® Go is created around a hollow fiber membrane technology and is not using carbon. This enables LifeStraw® Go to filter a minimum of 1,000 liters (264 gallons), which is a lot more than most comparable filters. The Go filter does not require any batteries or contain any chemicals. Furthermore, LifeStraw® Go’s filtering efficacy is unique. The hollow fiber membrane technology allows Go to transform even highly contaminated water into clean and safe drinking water. You can safely fill your Go bottle with unsafe water from rivers, creeks, ponds or lakes and stay hydrated no matter where you are. Go filters a minimum of 99.9999% of waterborne bacteria and 99.9% of waterborne parasites and removes turbidity down to 0.2 microns to ensure that your Go water is clear and has no bad taste. Specifications GO safe Filters a minimum of 1,000 liters of water Removes a minimum of 99.9999% of waterborne bacteria (>6Log10 reduction) Removes a minimum of 99.9% of waterborne protozoan parasites (>3Log10 reduction) Reduces turbidity by filtering particles down to 0.2 microns Dimensions: 235mm X 80mm Weight of the bottle: 225 grams Good storage capacity of 670 ml Produced of high quality food grade plastics meeting the standards of US FDA CFR Raw material of the bottle: Tritan (BPA free) Raw material of the bite valve: Food grade silicon When the Go filter reaches its full capacity (i.e. the end of its lifetime) the membrane clogs naturally, thus eliminating the possibility of drinking contaminated water from the filter. At the end of the filter’s lifetime, 1,000 liters, simply replace the cartridge and you are ready to Go again. The LifeStraw® technology has been independently tested and certified to meet EU directive 10/2011 and EU directive 1935/2004 regulatory standards and the United States EPA 1987 Protocol for Microbiological Water Purification. Please note: LifeStraw® will currently not desalinate water or filter heavy metals or viruses. Awards The LifeStraw® technology has been featured at The Museum of Modern Art in New York and Tate Modern in London for its unique design and has received multiple awards, accolades, and top-tier press coverage worldwide. “A Water Purifier That Could Save Lives” LifeStraw® is a very simple and elegant solution to a problem that kills millions of people. A LifeStraw® Go for each family member is a low-cost investment in peace of mind. Technology The LifeStraw® Go water fileter contains specially designed hollow fiber ultra-filtration technology, most commonly found in industrial water treatment plants that clean a city’s water supply. The inside of the LifeStraw® Go filter consists of a large number of hollow fibers that resemble angel hair spaghetti, but much thinner. Each fiber has pores in its walls with a diameter of 0.2 microns or five hundred times smaller than the diameter of a human hair. What Will LifeStraw® Filter Out? When water is forced through the hollow fibers, Salmonella Campylobacter Escherichia coli Vibrio cholera Pseudomonas aeruginosa Shigella Giardia lamblia (“Beaver Fever”) Cryptosporidium parvum Entamoeba histolytica only clean water can fit through these pores, blocking bacteria, parasites, and dirt from reaching the user. This purely physical method of filtration does not contain any chemicals. The LifeStraw® Portfolio The LifeStraw® product portfolio also includes LifeStraw® Personal and LifeStraw® Family. Personal is the unique and ultra-light personal filter weighing only 56 grams and with a capacity of 1,000 liters (264 gallons). Family is the perfect unit for households or bigger groups with a capacity of 18,000 liters (4750 gallons).
