Festival Location The York Federation of Students brings you YorkFest 2012, the largest Welcome Week event held on any University or College campus across Canada. For thousands of new students, YorkFest is the first glimpse of the many services and opportunities available to them at York. The Village boasts over 200 services, companies and student clubs, a free bar-b-que as well as a beverage tent. YorkFest-Welcome Week will highlight a free concert for all York students with a major international artist as the headliner. Past performers have included Matthew Good, K-OS, Metric, Bedouin Soundclash, Stars, Talib Kweli, The Stills, Keri Hilson, Kardinal Offishall, K’Naan, N.E.R.D featuring Pharell and Nas featuring Shawn Desmond and Masarie. Backed with 17 years of success, YorkFest has evolved into a momentous student festival. This would not be possible without the continuing support of our private and corporate sponsors, and friends of the festival. YorkFest is centrally located in the heart of York’s Keele Campus. As a partner, your booth will be set up along Campus Walk – easily accessed by TTC and Go Transit commuters, as Best Wishes, Osmel B, Maynes YorkFest Co-Ordinator well as thousands of casual pedestrians. This set-up allows for better flow of traffic and access to your products and services throughout the Village. Rexall Centre will once again host what is gearing up to be the largest concert in York’s history. The Park not only boasts a large holding capacity and a beverage tent, but also features a prominent promotional area for our corporate partners along it’s outdoor walkway. This location is home to the highest pedestrian traffic on campus and allows more students, faculty and staff to participate. Over the past several years the Village has grown to over 200 tables to accommodate more corporate partners, student groups, clubs and services. in addition to the various booths there will also be a beverage tent along with our free BBQ.
