payment options
Upon approval of credit, Nichols Photo Lab, Inc. will gladly open a
monthly account for any customer averaging $500.00+ per month in
photo finishing. A statement will be mailed out on the first day of
each month. The statement balance is due by the 10th of that month.
Finance charges of 2% (24% annually) will accrue on any balance not
paid by the 30th of that month. Any past due account may be immediately switched to C.O.D. status with the entire past due amount due
with the first order released. Credit applications are available from our
customer service department or apply online www.nicholsphotolab.com.
Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover are gladly accepted.
Please talk to a customer service representative if you would like your
credit card number placed in our permanent file for payment of future
orders. Your credit card will not be charged until your order is completed and ready to ship out.
If an open account has not been established, a check or credit card
number must be sent in with mail orders to avoid a $7.00 C.O.D. fee.

Nichols Photo Lab, Inc. provides order envelopes, negative glassines,
cropping cards and digital print order forms for sending orders into
the lab. Please be as accurate and careful as possible when completing the order envelope and special instructions. Each negative should
be cut and placed in a separate glassine with any special instructions
listed on the glassine. Any order turned in without clear or complete
instructions will be placed on hold until we are able to contact you. You
may also submit orders using one of our three online ordering programs.

time in lab*
Nichols Photo Lab, Inc. will strive to complete each order by
its due date. However, due to the nature of our business there
will be times when this cannot be done. The In-Lab Times
shown for each category in the brochure are approximate
working days. They do not include weekends and holidays.
Typically, the day an order is received in the lab is not counted
as a working day. Orders are usually available for pick up
after 2:30pm on their due date. There is no guarantee of
order delivery upon due date.
rush service
Rush service must be approved by our Customer Service
Department prior to turning the order into the lab. Due to
peak season work loads, Rush service is not always available.
Orders turned in simply marked Rush or ASAP without a
specific due date will receive normal In-Lab Time.
Rush fees are typically charged by adding 25%, 50%, 100%
or 200% of the regular order cost. Rush service Fees will vary
depending on the size and detail of the rush order as well as
the current work load of the lab.
shipping and handling charges
All orders are shipped via UPS ground service unless otherwise requested by the customer. Proof orders of $15.00+ are
exempt of shipping charges. When reorders are shipped out,
there is a shipping and handling fee of $5.75** per box.
There will be a minimum additional shipping fee of $6.00 for
any print 24x30 or larger.
Nichols Photo lab, Inc. is equipped with a central computer system
which allows us to track an order at any given time. However, it is
necessary that you have your order number ready for a Customer
Service Representative to track your order.

Typically, order changes are accepted and made at no charge as long
as it does not interfere with work already done by Nichols Photo Lab,
Inc. However, during our peak season (Nov. and Dec.) there will be a
$25 change order fee added to any order which requires changes after
it has entered production.

ordering from digit al file
When ordering from a digital file, a “print from disk” order form must be filled out.
All digital files submitted must be printer ready (saved as tif or jpeg without layers, paths, LZW compression & extra
channels). Any file names containing special characters (!@#$%) will be changed. We will charge a $5.95 file opening fee for
any file that does not meet this criteria.
Ordering via Online Soft ware
Try the fastest, easiest ways to order from
digital files. We offer NEOS, Kodak ProShots,
and ImageQuix. Please refer our website at
www.nicholsphotolab.com for more information on what software is currently available.

remakes
In case a remake is necessary, please remember that these items
must be returned:
• the prints in question
• the original order envelope, negative card
and glassine, or the digital print order form.
• a copy of the invoice
• clear instructions stating what needs to be corrected
All returns must be made within 14 days. If Nichols Photo Lab, Inc. is
at fault, we will remake the order as quickly as possible at no charge.
Kodak film
We no longer stock film; however, we can order Kodak Professional
C-41 process film, 120 or 220. Please give us a least one week
notice.

Nichols Photo Lab, Inc. will exercise all possible care in handling film
entrusted to us. Although we do make every effort to avoid damage or
loss, neither the best machines or operators are infallible.
Submitting any film, print, slide, negative or digital media to Nichols
Photo Lab, Inc. for processing, printing or any other handling constitutes an agreement by you that any damage or loss by our company,
subsidiary, or agents, even though due to negligence or other fault of
our company, subsidiary, or agents, will only entitle you to replacement with a like amount of unexposed film and processing. Except for
such replacement, the acceptance by our company, subsidiary, and or
agents of the film, print, slide or negative is without other warranty
or liability. Recovery for any incidental or consequential damages is
excluded.
There is no warranty against damage of a print not made by Nichols
Photo Lab, Inc. which is submitted for mounting, finishing, or spray.
Any print not made by us and submitted for these services is done so
at the customer’s own risk.

Nichols offers a team of highly skilled artists along with the latest state of the art equipment and software. Digital retouching and
enhancement is available from scanned negatives and digital camera files. We strongly recommend that any negative for digital retouching
be scanned by the lab. This ensures optimal results which cannot be guaranteed if the negative is scanned elsewhere.
All images that are digitally enhanced by Nichols will be archived at the lab for one year. The order number on the original order envelope
will be required for ordering additional enlargements of the enhanced images in the future.
Any digital artwork may also be saved on CD for additional fee of $6.00.

Memory Mates are ever so popular, especially among dance
groups and sports teams.
Typically, there is 1-4x5 of each individual printed and 1-5x7
of the group/team for each individual. Film processing is
included at no cost. Like package units, these are printed from
digital file or long roll with an average exposure.
Please keep the following in mind:
• It is important that your exposures are consistent.
• Separate rolls of film should be used to photograph the
individuals and the groups.
• Printing must be done from digital file or long roll. 120 &
220 rolls will be spliced together.
