Kedel fine tunes the amount of air the fan mixes into the combustion
chamber taking into account variations in pellet quality, changes in
draft, and the dirtiness of the boiler. This ensures clean combustion
and minimizes the need for cleaning and ash removal. A Lambda
Sensor lives in the exhaust of the boiler measuring the oxygen levels of
the exiting flue gases.
10 to 1 Step-less Modulation
Kedel can produce as little as 1/10th of its total rated output. What
does that mean? Kedel only produces as much heat as you need.
Industry folks call this “level loading”, which increases efficiency,
maximizes comfort, decreases ignitions, and eliminates the need for
thermal storage.
Weather Compensation
Kedel’s controls utilize web enabled technology to monitor local weather
conditions. With this information, Kedel automatically manages its heat
output. This ensures the most efficient use of fuel, while also keeping
your building at maximum comfort.
Automatic De-ashing
With Kedel’s fully automatic de-ashing system, ash is transported to a
self compressing box. The box will typically need emptying between one
and three tons of pellets burned, depending on boiler model and fuel
quality.
And don’t worry about forgetting. Kedel will kindly remind you with an
email when it’s time to empty the ash box.
